2013 Bmw 535i Xdrive M-sport 3.0l Twin Turbo, Carbon Black, Carbon Fiber Trim on 2040-cars
Delray Beach, Florida, United States
|
For Sale/Auction is my 2103 BMW 535i X-Drive with M-sport package. I added Carbon Fiber grills and side light trim, otherwise shes stock. BMW rubber floor mats, also the original carpet mats unused.
The description is pretty self-explanatory: I ordered the M-sport package which includes M steering wheel, Anthracite headliner and interior trim, Aluminum Hexagon interior trim (instead of wood), M door sills and dead pedal, blacked out exterior trim, M bumpers and side skirts, black dual exhaust tips, and speed limiter raised to 155mph. Has Paddle Shifters and 4 driving modes: Eco-Pro, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. Also has the Navigation system with hard drive and heated front seats. This car is perfect- fast, handles amazingly, luxury and performance at its best. I bought this car in NY, October 2012 mostly for ride-alongs with clients. I left that business to start my own in FL and now need work trucks, not beautiful cars. Most of the mileage has been driving back and forth from NY to FL setting up my move. Carfax is clean. The only imperfection is some curb rash on the passenger side rear wheel (see pictures) There is a lien on the car that I would have to pay off with buyers funds to release title from FL (quick process) This car was over $64,000 a little over a year ago. My loss is your gain, save $20,000 on a "like new" as opposed to a new one. Vehicle is for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end auction early. Please do not bid if you cannot pay. Ask questions, I will reply at least once a day. Thanks for looking! |

2017 BMW i3 rumored to get more electric range
Tue, Jan 19 2016BMW will reportedly give the 2017 i3 a jolt of extra range that will increase the EV's max driving distance to around 120 miles. If true, that would be quite a boost from the current EPA-estimated 81 miles. An upgraded lithium-ion battery will make this improvement possible, according to Automotive News. Ian Robertson, BMW's boss for sales and marketing, told AN the upgrade to the i3 "puts it into a much more usable range." The company has more tweaks in store for the 2017 model but doesn't want to discuss details about them yet. Rumors late last year hinted that the extra range for the i3 would come thanks to a higher-density battery, improved electronics, and new software. The changes could push range to over 124 miles on the European testing cycle. BMW would also offer the improvements on the i3 REx range-extended model, and the company would even allegedly allow current owners to purchase the upgrades. The German automaker wants to offer these updates every three years to keep the EV fresh. If BMW can achieve 120 miles of range, then the electric i3's driving distance would come significantly closer to the current REx's EPA-estimated 150 miles. Of course, the range-extended model can always be topped up with a tank of gas to keep its wheels spinning further. The i3's rumored boost would also still put it short of the roughly 200 miles that Chevrolet promises from the Bolt when that model arrives late this year. In any case, it's an exciting time for proponents of electric cars. Related Video:
Alpina XD3 Bi-Turbo offers facelifted looks, diesel-powered 4.9-sec 0-62 sprint [w/video]
Tue, Mar 3 2015I've always thought it would be fascinating to look at the psychographic data of Alpina's customer base. While the company's high-zoot rendition of BMW 7 and 5 Series sedans makes plenty of sense, I don't quite understand the appeal of the still-expensive tunes, further down the range. Enter the European-only Alpina XD3 Bi-Turbo, which made its debut here in Geneva today. The XD3 has been around for a bit, but this year it's refreshed to coincide with the BMW X3's own nip-tuck. The result is essentially a new front and back fascia on the same, ginormous Alpina wheels that make the brand's products instantly recognizable. For anyone that covets huge diesel performance in a small SUV-shaped package, that's a good thing. The XD3 pushes a whopping 516 pound-feet of torque and 345 horsepower out of its 3.0-liter, biturbo sixer, all good for a 0-62-mile-per-hour sprint of just 4.9 seconds. Which is quick by any measure. Still, the privilege of driving the fast, high-center-of-gravity Bimmer doesn't come cheaply – Alpina would like just over 69,000 euro ($77,000 by today's rates) for each example. That kind of coin will buy a European equal performance in the form of a Porsche Macan diesel, or any number of non-SUV performance rides, too. It takes a special mind, I suppose... Related Video:
The importance of Angel Eyes, Ventiports and four round taillights
Sun, 01 Sep 2013Just the other day, we told you about how Lincoln isn't really a luxury brand, according to Ford's head design man, J Mays. His argument was that Lincoln lacked the unique DNA to differentiate it from the rest of the market, although the arrival of the MKZ is beginning to change that. Now, we have this video from Autoline Detroit, where Jim Hall, an analyst for 2953 Analytics who was quoted in yesterday's Lincoln story, explains the influence of certain styling cues and how they impact the brands.
Using BMW (Angel Eyes) and Buick (Ventiports) as examples for small, simple touches that serve to distinguish the brand's vehicles on the road, Hall then points out how changing trademark styling features, as Chevrolet has done on the new Corvette Stingray, can hurt the vehicle's public perception. Take a look at the full video below for an interesting dive into what these styling features mean to their individual brands.
