Hello, I am selling a non-smoker midnight blue 2008 BMW 550i with 66,859 miles in very good condition. There are no rips or tears on the seats, and the exterior has no dings, dents or scratches. This 550i is fully loaded with every luxury amenity possible which includes a heads up display (HUD), navigation, back up camera, power windows, power locks, 20-way power seats, adaptive cruise control, adaptive Xenon headlights, dynamic stability control, dynamic traction control, dynamic brake control, and so much more. This is truly a drivers sedan with its powerful 4.8L 360hp V8, and six speed steptronic transmission. This BMW has been serviced exclusively at the local dealership here in Houston, and all service documentation will be provided. The BMW has been garaged its entire life, and is very well maintained. It was purchased as a CPO, but the warranty has expired. The exterior and interior color combination is very hard to find. It also has Lo-Jack installed along with a clean Texas title.

Spirit Lake Cycles brings a new look to vintage BMW bikes
Wed, May 27 2015It doesn't take a lot of room to work on motorcycles. In fact, Spirit Lake Cycles, which gets the spotlight in the latest video from Petrolicious, started out of a kitchen. Now, this two-man operation has created a small business to bring a custom look to vintage BMWs. The company is best known for a bike that it calls the CBMW. Based on an R90/6, the name comes from the cycle's Honda-sourced fuel tank. The streamlined design and white pinstripes lend the look of one of the Bavarian brand's own early creations, but the chopped fenders and under-seat exhaust show a much more modern style. Spirit Lake Cycles doesn't always go for such a highly modified design, though. The other cycles that Petrolicous highlights, including a gorgeous BMW R90S, appear far closer to stock than the show bike. The company says its motorcycles are meant to be ridden, and you can see the proof of that in this video.
BMW rethinks all-wheel-drive M cars
Fri, 04 Oct 2013BMW M hasn't been able to decide whether it wants to jump on the all-wheel-drive bandwagon or not (with the exceptions of the X5 M and the X6 M, which are based on AWD architecture). That might be changing though, since M's president Friedrich Nitschke recently realized that 70 to 80 percent of Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGs are ordered with all-wheel drive. Earlier this year, Nitschke said that there were no new AWD M models planned, so this comes as somewhat of a surprise.
"On our cars we are thinking of all-wheel drive, but it won't come before we get the successor of the M5 and M6," Nitschke said in a Motoring report. "That's the timing and it's not practical to react in the current life cycles."
