THE AVERAGE SELLING PRICE OF THE 535I IS $14,500 WITHOUT THE REPLACEMENT OF EXPENSIVE PARTS. THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A GREAT CAR WITH $4,000 IN NEW PARTS JUST IN JANUARY 2014. I am selling since I bought another car. After the purchase, as I was about to sell the car, warning lights came on to service the car. I found out that I needed to replace the water pump and transmission, so I did. I spent over $4K for replacements. Other replacements were all in 2013. The car is running very well. Now you have the comfort knowing that the most expensive parts will not trouble you. I am beginning to understand that BMW's water pump and transmission are its weakness for cars of this age; well no need to worry with this car. Other features include, 18 Inch Tires Window Tinting Front lip spoiler, Trunk spoiler, Adjustable driver/passenger seats w. memory, Ipod/iphone adapter, CD player, Bluetooth, Black rims, Red Caliper Covers Steering wheel cover OEM Touch up paint avail Engine running very smooth, was 3rd car for freeway driving. A/C ice cold, All scheduled maintenance. Must see, Never seen snow, No accidents, Non-smoker, Title in hand, Very clean interior, Well maintained. The bad if u can call that for full disclosure. The spring on the front hood is weak and needs support so I use a stick to hold it up. I am the 2nd owner, had it since 30,000 miles. The front spoiler is slightly scuffed. Serious offers only. Best offer considered. This car will go fast due to the recent replacements of expensive parts. Please do not waste my time with low ball offers, I will not respond. I am a busy person. |

BMW jazzes up the Z4 with Pure Fusion Design package
Sun, 15 Dec 2013While the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe may be the big news, they're not the only things that BMW has in the cooker. The Bavarian automaker has just announced a new special edition that serves to highlight the Z4 roadster.
Called the Pure Fusion Design package, the specially-equipped Z4 incorporates Nappa leather trim in ivory with brown stitching covering the seats, armrests and door panels. The lower dashboard is done up to match in white, with brown-accented black leather upper dash, window sills, sun visors and instrument surround. A brown leather line accents the interior, with Fineline wood trim.
BMW is offering the Z4 Pure Fusion Design in the unique shade of sparkling brown metallic pictured here, along with other available colors, and customers can combine the package with the M Sport pack as well. Scroll down for the full press release.
BMW i8's three-cylinder sounds like it's shaping up quite nicely
Tue, 25 Mar 2014We've run across some rather interesting news... or perhaps we should say interesting sounds. The folks from Bimmerpost have scrounged up a short video showing a preproduction BMW i8 running through a few gears in Sport mode at a quick pace, and if you were concerned that the somewhat eco-friendly nature of the upcoming German sports car would neuter its ability to stir the aural senses, fret not.
Judging by the lovely noise coming from the engine compartment of the i8 in the video, BMW's expertise in tuning high-strung, small-bore engines - remember, BMW Motorrad has quite the penchant for well-conceived motorcycle engines - has come through loud and clear. Now, it's worth mentioning that BMW's controversial Active Sound technology will be included with the i8, so the production car may not sound exactly like this version, which is running with the tech disabled. Owners won't have the ability to disable Active Sound on production i8s.
In related news, Bimmerpost reports that BMW will equip the i8 with an external Active Sound Design system to go along with its Pedestrian Protection System. That means those on the outside will likely hear piped engine recordings from the rear and a sort of "howl" from the front in order to warn pedestrians that the otherwise quiet (when running on electricity, that is) car is approaching. It will also feature technology that can stop the car before contacting a pedestrian.
Woman sent to psych ward because police didn't believe she owned a BMW
Mon, Sep 14 2015A woman is suing New York City after she spent eight days in a mental hospital because, she claims, police didn't believe she, a black woman, could own a BMW. Last year, Kamilah Brock was pulled over in Harlem, NY, for having her hands off the wheel, PIX 11 reported. She says she told officers she was dancing while stopped at a red light at the intersection. Police took her into custody and held her for several hours. When Brock was released from the 30th Precinct without any formal charges, police told her she could pick up her car the next day. When she arrived at the impound lot and told officials she was looking for her car - a 2003 BMW 325Cl, she knew there was something wrong as soon as she requested her vehicle. "I just felt like from the moment I said I owned a BMW, I was looked at as a liar," Brock told PIX 11. "They put me in handcuffs and said they just need to put me in handcuffs to take me to my car. And I said OK, whatever it's gonna take to get to my car." Then EMS arrived. She was taken to Harlem Hospital psychiatric ward where she says she was pumped with sedatives and given powerful drugs. Doctors believed she was suffering from bipolar disorder, she claims, and tried for days to get Brock to admit she didn't own the luxury car. They also tried to convince Brock that she wasn't really a banker and President Obama didn't really follow her on Twitter, though both facts are true. The worst part? She was stuck with a $13,000 hospital bill for the pleasure. Brock is currently suing the hospital and several unnamed police officers. Neither the NYPD nor the City's Law Department commented on this story due to ongoing litigation. Government/Legal Weird Car News BMW Ownership Videos lawsuit
