2003 BMW 530i

Incredible Unparalleled Design and Beauty!

Up for auction is a fantastic 2003 BMW 530i in Black with 97052 miles with a salvaged title but still in excellent condition.  The car was in a light head on impact at low miles which did not set off any airbags, that resulted in this being a salvaged title vehicle.  The car is still in great shape with a beautiful black leather interior and wood trimming inside and with a few repairs around the car that should not add up to very much if you buy aftermarket or used parts at places like eBay!  This car was bought on eBay only a few years ago for approximately $30,000 so now that it is a little dinged up you can pick it up at quite a steal.  This 530i, the last and perfecting year of the arguably best looking 5-Series in history, came with the M-Sport Package which made this elite brand of car even that much better.  We welcome those that are seriously interested in this beautiful car to give us a call and come take a look if desired.  The car does currently run, but we did not want to try taking it for a spin before the radiator is replaced, and all the electronics and gears function as far as we can tell quite normally.

We will try to give you the best pictures and details possible of what needs repair, but we are not car experts and are selling this salvaged title car, as is, and are not responsible for any unforeseen problems with the car that were not addressed in this auction.   Here is what we can tell needs to be replaced or repaired:

-The front bumper

-Radiator

-Side trim and door body work is needed

-Wheels and Rims

-Minor Paint Touch-up

-Suspension needs to be looked at

-Digits on radio need fixing and small line near gear shift (very cheap)

Shipping will be up to the responsibility of the buyer and they can arrange the shipping after the auction is complete and let us know the details.

BMW already considering four cylinders for next M3

Tue, 13 May 2014

The cylinder count in BMW's M3 has fluctuated over the years. The original M3 debuted in 1985 packing a 2.3-liter inline-four, but subsequent models went with sixes until the outgoing generation upped the cylinder count to eight. With its latest model, BMW has dropped back to six cylinders with a pair of turbos taking the place of the extra pistons. But the next M3 sedan and M4 coupe could go back to the model line's roots with a four-cylinder engine.
Speaking with BMW M product manager Carsten Pries at the launch of the latest M3 and M4 in Portugal, our Aussie compatriots at Motoring.com.au report that "you could see a future [M3] powered by a four-cylinder engine." Offsetting the reduction in cylinders, the lighter engine would benefit the vehicle's weight and balance, thus enhancing performance.
We wouldn't expect the next M3 and M4 to lose any power in the process, though: Output in the M3 has only risen over the generations, from 192 horsepower in the four-pot original to 282 hp in the six-cylinder E36, 338 hp in the six-cylinder E46, 414 hp in the V8 E90 and 425 ponies in the new turbocharged six-cylinder F80 model. With that latter model having just debuted, it'll likely be a good six or seven years before the next version comes along, giving BMW plenty of time to settle on an engine - however many cylinders and turbochargers it has. In the meantime, you'll have to forgive us for taking a romp down M3 memory lane in the fresh gallery of images above.

BMW 5 Series wagon makes incognito grocery run by way of the 'Ring

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

With a debut in 2009, it's high time that BMW delivered the world with the standard mid-cycle refresh of its popular 5 Series. While we aren't expecting to see it here in the United States, that freshening will include the vehicle shown above, the 5 Series wagon.
This is only the second time we've spotted the camo'd, long-roof 5er in the past year, and while it was chained to a flat-bed in those snaps, today, we can see it lapping the Nürburgring. In addition to the images from the track, we also have our first look at the cabin of the freshened 5 Series, although even it is covered in camouflage, making it quite difficult to spot anything of substance.
As for the exterior, expect modest changes for the second-half of the F10 5er's life, with typical tweaks like new headlights and taillights, and perhaps a freshened front fascia. Considering we last saw the upcoming 5 Series just over a year ago, we'd expect an auto show debut for this smoothed-over model in the not-so-distant future, with Paris a leading candidate.

BMW readying competition pack for M5, M6

Thu, 25 Apr 2013

According to Car and Driver, citing a report in BMW Blog, BMW will be offering performance upgrades - likely called the Competition package - for its M5 and M6 models (including the convertible and Gran Coupe versions of the M6). Both cars will continue to be offered with the normal 560-horsepower, 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engines, but this new performance pack is expected to add an additional 15 hp to the mix.
No need to worry, however - the upgrades won't simply be limited to a small boost in power. These M5 and M6 models will reportedly get new wheels, black exhaust tips, a more direct steering ratio and reworked suspension geometry which will provide better overall handling. Top speed is said to remain governed at 190 miles per hour, but that these extra improvements will shave one-tenth of a second off the cars' 0-60 times.
No pricing information has been revealed as of this writing, though we imagine it'll likely come at a substantial cost over the current starting prices of the M5 and M6 ($90,200 and $108,350, respectively).
