FOR SALE is a GREAT investment grade Movie car. LOOK at the price of older TV and movie cars and they have only gone up in price. The NICE cars are getting harder & harder to get released. The SIXTH Fast & Furious movie is already in production.
This is 1 of only 2 Surviving '98 BMW 5 series, M5's built for the largest race scene of the "FAST & FURIOUS" Movie. Only 8 total were built. This is the ONLY survivng V8 car left. The other survivor was a BMW 528, I6 car. This car was not damaged during filming, so it was sent to Universal Studios in FL to be used as a promotional item for the MOVIE. This car sat along side the '86 Buick GN and the Custom Chevy truck that was on Display.
They used a VERY nice car to build for the Movie. The mileage appears original.Car leaks NO fluids! This car has a nicely modified with a FULL interior cage. ALL the items that were disconnected for the Movie have been re-connected or fixed. ALL the lights have been addressed & reset except for the ABS light. It is only on because of the stunt brake that has been spliced into the braking system. We left it there so the car would be true to the original Movie set up. We did hook up the heater & all the climate control functions. We even did a full A/C service so the car blows COLD air. We did a FULL BMW 60K service which includes ALL the fluids, valve cover gaskets & NEW spark plugs!
This car has been completely serviced and tuned. It is all ready for show and go! Please watch the attached YouTube video.
This car will come with all the documentation including a copy of the MASTER key file for the Movie!!
Please ask any questions BEFORE bidding. Look at my FEEDBACK

A car writer's year in new vehicles [w/video]
Thu, Dec 18 2014Christmas is only a week away. The New Year is just around the corner. As 2014 draws to a close, I'm not the only one taking stock of the year that's we're almost shut of. Depending on who you are or what you do, the end of the year can bring to mind tax bills, school semesters or scheduling dental appointments. For me, for the last eight or nine years, at least a small part of this transitory time is occupied with recalling the cars I've driven over the preceding 12 months. Since I started writing about and reviewing cars in 2006, I've done an uneven job of tracking every vehicle I've been in, each year. Last year I made a resolution to be better about it, and the result is a spreadsheet with model names, dates, notes and some basic facts and figures. Armed with this basic data and a yen for year-end stories, I figured it would be interesting to parse the figures and quantify my year in cars in a way I'd never done before. The results are, well, they're a little bizarre, honestly. And I think they'll affect how I approach this gig in 2015. {C} My tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015 it'll be as high as 73. Let me give you a tiny bit of background about how automotive journalists typically get cars to test. There are basically two pools of vehicles I drive on a regular basis: media fleet vehicles and those available on "first drive" programs. The latter group is pretty self-explanatory. Journalists are gathered in one location (sometimes local, sometimes far-flung) with a new model(s), there's usually a day of driving, then we report back to you with our impressions. Media fleet vehicles are different. These are distributed to publications and individual journalists far and wide, and the test period goes from a few days to a week or more. Whereas first drives almost always result in a piece of review content, fleet loans only sometimes do. Other times they serve to give context about brands, segments, technology and the like, to editors and writers. So, adding up the loans I've had out of the press fleet and things I've driven at events, my tally for the year is 68 cars, as of this writing. Before the calendar flips to 2015, it'll be as high as 73. At one of the buff books like Car and Driver or Motor Trend, reviewers might rotate through five cars a week, or more. I know that number sounds high, but as best I can tell, it's pretty average for the full-time professionals in this business.
BMW confirms X4 for next year, i3 preorders starting to add up
Wed, 20 Mar 2013BMW has confirmed the long-anticipated X4 will bow next year. Norbert Reithofer, chairman of the automaker's board of management, made mention of the upcoming CUV during remarks at the company's annual accounts press conference. Reithofer said that BMW has sold more than 2.7 million X models since it began producing the machines, and that the company plans to expand those offerings with the new X4 next year. He declined to offer up any more details, though from what we've heard so far, the model will be more of a crossover than either the X3 or the X5.
Reithofer also made it clear that BMW is getting serious about electric vehicles, saying the i3 (pictured above, in prototype form) is "definitely coming to market" and that the runabout will be ready by late 2013. BMW reports it has had "Several hundred advance orders" for the EV. As you may recall, the i3 uses a special carbon fiber reinforced plastic passenger cell to save weight and boasts a standard range of 93 miles. You can read the full transcripts from the press conference below for more information.
