Selling a great 2000 BMW 323ci moderately lowered on 18" e92 m3 black wheels with fresh rubber.silver exterior.all blk interior. car has 145k .ive owned it for a year and have done all the req. maint. plus a slurry of minor mech. that is common in these cars.i.e coolant expansion tank, hoses, air pump, valve cover, power steering lines, strut bearings, brake pads and rotors all four. rear subframe reinforcement. the floor pan failed around the rear most driver side subframe mount as is common with these cars. they had a recall for floor pan replacement as i learned after having it repaired and this is the reason for the salvage title.turner motorspots offers a reinforcement kit and i had the floor reapaired and added the turner plates to all four subframe mounts by means of a highly skilled TIG welder which produces much less heat than the MIG welding most would use so that the metal wouldnt become brittle from overheating....better than new in this case!great fix! too much little stuff to list even had euro plates made to match the ca dot's. fresh charge on the a/c blows ice cold air and with tinted windows itll be nice a cool for the summer. im a weirdo but ive got a great bmw mech. and he went through it front to rear.have receipts. magnaflow exhaust.k&n filter. h&r springs, have an extra set of h&r's also and the stock sport springs. extra set of factory wheels . clean inside ,outside and engine bay. well cared for. confident comfortable and fun to drive. handles great with the h&r springs had to buy two sets to nail the ride height and it still rides nice.hate to sell but im on to the next project. 75 911s widebody cant wait to get started so ive got to let this one go unfortunately because its an absolute joy to drive. problem free and dosent make any weird noises! local pick up or buyer assumes shipping cost and responsibiltiy. good luck and happy bidding. thanks for looking. happy motoring!

2014 BMW M235i
Tue, 21 Jan 2014We know a number of BMW owners who reside in the Munich brand's core demographic - upper-five- and six-figure professionals who like to keep their automotive brand credentials as highly respected among their peers as their alma maters or the letters after their names. Before heading to Las Vegas to drive the new M235i, we asked four of those owners, "What did you think of the E30 3 Series?" Although phrased differently, every one of them had the same answer: "What's that?"
You can counter that we just happened to query a tiny and ignorant sample size, and it's possible that you're right. Nevertheless, in every case,we were speaking to BMW's core demographic, the increasing legion of buyers who have fostered another year of record growth and are responsible for BMW retaining its global luxury title for nine straight years. Question that, and we'll refer you to BMW's marketing department, its several hundred PowerPoint slides and several thousand pages of research that prove the point.
That second-generation E30 3 Series built a name, a brand and an entire segment by defining BMW-ness as superlative driving dynamics meets luxury - shortened to the phrase, "The Ultimate Driving Machine." Thirty years later, just being a part of BMW-ness and luxury is enough for the majority of buyers. The superlative handling, that's optional, and 150 hairy guys meet every Tuesday to keep the old religion going, light torches, sing dirges to the siren long gone and bang on their keyboards about the apostasies of modern buyers.
This Or That: 1980 Oldsmobile 442 vs. 1989 BMW 635CSi [w/poll]
Thu, 09 Oct 2014The last time I roped a coworker into an automotive debate, I lost. Resoundingly, I might add. Still, 2,385 voters chose to cast their lots for the Fiat 500 Abarth, as opposed to 5,273 choosing the Ford Fiesta ST, and so I can rest easy in the knowledge that at least 30 percent of you, dear readers, see things my way. I still like to think we have more fun, too.
My loss in the first round of our This or That series, in which two Autoblog editors pick sides on any given topic and then attempt to explain why the other is completely wrong, didn't stop me from picking another good-natured fight, this time with Senior Editor Seyth Miersma. Last time, our chosen sides were eerily similar in design, albeit quite different in actual execution. This time, our vehicular peculiarities couldn't seemingly fall any further from one another: A 1980 Oldsmobile 442 wouldn't seem to match up in comparison to a 1989 BMW 635CSi.
How did we come up with such disparate contenders? Simple, really. Seyth and I mutually agreed to choose a car that's currently for sale online. It had to be built and sold in the 1980s, and it had to be a coupe. The price cap was set at $10,000. The fruits of our searching labors will henceforth be disputed, with Seyth on the side of the Germans, and myself arguing in favor of the Rocket Olds. Am I setting myself up for another lopsided loss?
Weekly Recap: The divergent paths of Tesla and Fisker
Sat, 02 Aug 2014
There's no doubt that Tesla is downshifting while Fisker has been grinding its gears. But it wasn't always that way.
In the wake of Tesla's recent success, it's easy to forget that there were once two California electric carmakers with bright futures.
