OK. Here we go. This car was a project for my son and I. It was to be his first car. Lucky kid, any way he decided after it was about 95% finished he liked another car that I brought home to sell. A Saab 93, I don't get it. This is how the car came up for sale. We have done a tremendous amount of work on the car as you can see by the pictures. I will list all that has been done and the few things that it still needs.

NEW:oem silver paint, used european bumpers front and back. New rubber impact strips, new Dinan front valance, new head liner, new dash pad, all the stainless has been blacked out, New H&R lowering springs, New BBS type 16" wheels and performance tires, new badges, new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing, new slave cylinder, new front calipers and brakes, new fuel pump, new parking brake cables and I am sure I am missing alot of things, but anyway you get the picture. We have spent alot of time and money into this car and it has been garrage kept since its completion about 9 months ago.
Here are the couple things it needs: The air conditioning system is complete but not opporatig becase the compressor is seased. You may be able to loosen it up with some oil and give it a charge. Worse case senerio you buy a new A/C compessor, about $200 on ebay. The second thing is a cold idle valve or something that is making the car idle surge between 700 and 1200 rpms. and lastly there is a rust spot on the frame by the radiator core support. I was going to get my buddy to cut out the spot and weld a little plate. If you have to pay someone to do it i would estimate between $50 and $100 to do, maybe an hours worth of work or less.
Remember it is not a new car, even though it looks like it, it is 30 years old. I hope i gave a good desciption and if you have any questions please ask. Thanks for considering my car.

This is the final BMW M3 Coupe

Fri, 05 Jul 2013

Pour some out for the BMW M3 Coupe, folks. Production of the two-door, fixed-roof M3 has officially ended, and the orange car you see here is the very last one.
But we don't just meant the last M3 Coupe of this generation - this is the last M3 Coupe ever, since the next-gen car will launch under the name M4, staying true to BMW's revised nomenclature where coupes and convertibles will use even numbers. (Don't forget, the new 3 Series coupe becomes the 4 Series for the 2014 model year.) There will, of course, be a new M3, but that badge will only be found on the four-door version.
BMW first launched the M3 Coupe in 1986, and since then, more than 40,000 examples have been built. Sedan and convertible versions were added later in the car's life, and BMW says that the current 2013 model year convertible will remain in production until September of this year.

BMW: i8 sold out, i3 records 10k orders

Mon, 25 Nov 2013

Just in case anyone was wondering how plug-in BMW cars would be received, the answer is apparently "quite well." After speaking with BMW's global sales chief last week at the LA Auto Show, Reuters has learned that the plug-in hybrid i8 sports coupe is already sold out for its first year on the market.
There is no word as to how many i8s BMW sold, but the first example was delivered to a customer last week in Germany. As for the all-electric/range-extended i3 hatchback, the automaker has received more than 10,000 orders for this model before it even goes on sale. Likewise, we don't know how many BMW plans to sell, but we do know they'll be showing up in the US before next summer.
We've already spent some time behind the wheel of both plug-in BMWs, and you can check out our first drive of the production i3 and our first drive of an i8 prototype.

2014 BMW 4 Series Coupe officially debuts, priced from $41,425*

Fri, 14 Jun 2013

Well, that didn't take long. Less than two hours after the first images of the 2014 BMW 4 Series Coupe leaked onto the Internet, we've been given the go-ahead to publish the whole kit and caboodle. And while we won't say we told you so, it looks as though the car's official details are standing true to our earlier predictions.
In other words, BMW will offer the 4 Series in 428i and 435i models, both of which can be had with xDrive all-wheel drive. Just like in the 3 Series, the 428i is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, good for 240 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque, and the 435i gets BMW's turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six making 300 hp and 300 lb-ft. In three of the four models, both a six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmission are available; the 428i xDrive can only be had with the auto 'box. The 428i (with rear-wheel drive, we assume) can hit 60 miles per hour in 5.7 seconds (though BMW doesn't specify with which transmission), and the 435i will do that same sprint in 5.3 seconds with the manual and five seconds flat with the eight-speed auto.
We've already dissected the 4 Series' visuals, but the numbers show just how different it is from the 3 Series sedan. The 4 Coupe is one-tenth of an inch longer overall, while riding on the same 110.6-inch wheelbase, is 0.6 inches wider, and has a roofline that's a full 2.7 inches closer to the ground. It looks sleek, incorporating BMW's new design language from the 3 Series with an overall profile that's similar to the larger 6 Series coupe.
