This is my 1991 325I BMW Cabriolet. I am the registered owner of the car and have the Clean California Title in hand. I bought this car from a client of mine and have not spared a dollar in it. I put a lot of money into getting this car into top notch shape. It just passed the strict California emissions.

I used to drive the hardtop version of this car when I was in High School and when I saw it, it brought me back old memories and I bought it. How many 22 year old cars do you see on the road that can still cruise at a 110 MPH and still have enough torque to pull more and still take every corner like it’s on rails? This is truly rare care to come by nowadays.

The interior of the car is in good shape. The driver’s side bottom was recently redone. The color match is pretty close but not perfect. This has the typical E30 cracked dash. The rear view mirror fellow off but I am going to have that put that back on before the sale. The driver’s side seat needs to be adjusted as it leaning towards one way, this happened after the seat was reupholstered.  The back seats look like they have never sat in. the top part of the rear seats have some weather deterioration. It could be reupholstered. The steering wheel also needs to be rewrapped. The leather is coming off. Other than those minor issues, the interior is perfect.

The exterior of the car is in great shape. The body is straight. The paint shines like it just rolled off the assembly line. It has the bottle cap wheels all around. The convertible top is in great shape. It is only a couple of years old. The rear window can be replaced. It is fogged up. All the lights and glass are in working order.

Mechanically, the car is sound. I have replaced tons of parts in this car. I would not hesitate to drive this car to New York from Los Angeles tonight! The engine has a lot of power and the transmission shifts perfect through all the gears. No Check Engine or and warning lights are on. It does not leak any fluids or make any weird noises. It has air conditioning and after we did the major services we let out the Freon. So the A/C does need to be recharged. The instrument cluster failed and it was replaced with a used one. The car had 179k miles on it when it failed. It just passed the very strict, and I believe the toughest emission tests in the nation.

All the parts I have replaced in the last 500 miles:
-           Timing Belt
-           Water Pump
-           Radiator
-           Thermostat
-           O2 Sensor
-           Catalytic Converter
-           Resealed the entire engine
-           Instrument Cluster

As you can see a lot of time and parts where put into this car. I honestly hate to sell this rare automobile but I have way too many cars and my goal before the end of the year is to get sell all but a few of them. I can assist in shipping this car anywhere as long as the buyer makes the shipping arraignments. It has a very low reserve set.  You call or text me with any questions at 626-232-1831

NHTSA gives okay for three automakers to skirt tire-related recalls

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

BMW, Honda, and Mercedes-Benz are all going to avoid small recalls, after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued petitions for "findings of inconsequential noncompliance" to the three manufacturers, according to Tire Business. Basically, the petitions allow the brands to avoid recalls for some very, very minor issues.
BMW had tire placards on 364 X6 M CUVs that stated the car could only handle four passengers, when in reality it had room for three in the back. Actual plausibility of fitting three real humans in the slope-roofed Bimmer aside, the Munich-based manufacturer argued it was inconsequential, as the placards were correct regardless of the number of passengers.
Honda's case focused on 212 2011 and 2012 Acura TSX sedans equipped with 18-inch wheels. The TPMS systems on these cars were set for 17-inch wheels, rather than the larger hoops, but even with the lower settings, the tires maintain adequate load capacity.

Formula Drift kicks off 11th season on Streets of Long Beach

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

The 2014 Formula Drift series kicked off last weekend in Long Beach, and saw Chris Forsberg, who you'll recall went mad and drifted around a warehouse in an Infiniti M, take the title behind the wheel of his Hankook Tire Nissan 370Z (shown above).
Forsberg really ran away with the first round of competition, outscoring his closest opponent, second-place finisher Kenneth Moen and his Bridges Racing Nissan 240SX, by 20 points. Third place was 2013 championship winner Michael Essa and his Yokohama BMW M3, 30.5 points behind Forsberg.
In the manufacturers' title, Nissan took an early lead with 122 points, which isn't a huge surprise considering five of the top ten drifters were piloting either a Z or a product of the brand's S platform. Ford, which had two drivers (Justin Pawlak and Vaughn Gittin, Jr.) in the top ten, took home second place, while BMW is currently third in the manufacturers' standings.

2015 BMW S 1000 RR looks to retain sportbike supremacy

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

The BMW S 1000 RR is already a pretty potent member of the superbike ranks, but BMW is revealing a host of upgrades for this two-wheeled lightning bolt at the Intermot 2014 motorcycle show that should make it even faster.
The biggest additions to the latest 1000 RR are its new cylinder head, lighter valves and different intake cam to tweak even more power from the bike's 1.0-liter, four-cylinder engine, and BMW now rates it at a claimed 196 horsepower (or 199 horses if you go with the European measurement, converted from 146 kilowatts), a boost over the first-gen's 193 ponies, and 83 pound-feet of torque through a six-speed gearbox. Those adjustments would probably be enough to make the cycle a tick faster alone, but the Bavarian engineers also cut 8.82 pounds (4 kg) to bring the motorcycle's weight with a full tank of fuel to a feather-light 450 pounds. Much of that diet comes from the redesigned exhaust that cuts about 6.6 pounds off the scales.
Cradling that tweaked engine is a redesigned, lighter frame with fully adjustable springs. The bike also comes standard with Race ABS, stability control, seven-step variable traction control and three riding modes. In terms of styling, all of these changes are communicated through an updated fairing with repositioned, though still asymmetric, headlights.
