1984 Bmw 318i Manual Excellent Condition Sunroof A/c 148,000 Original Miles on 2040-cars
Fergus Falls, Minnesota, United States
Hi, you are bidding on a 1984 318i BMW in excellent condition. Hopefully the pictures tell the story, but if not feel free to email me and I will answer promptly. Smoke free. Title in hand. The only reason we are selling it is that we are full time students and can't afford another vehicle right now.
There is very light surface rust behind the two front tires (these are hardly noticeable - see pictures) the rest of the car is rust free. Sun wear on the rear/front spoilers and fin, and the lower valence under the lights have wear as seen in the pictures A/C works perfectly Block heater for colder states Very light wear on the passenger pleather seat in two spots One crack in the dashboard drivers side and one on the passenger side (very common in BMW's) see pictures. A slight tick in the tachometer (also very common) and there is sometimes a click when we turn the steering wheel (does not affect anything and is intermittent) The temperature gauge works intermittently This vehicle comes with many extra parts as pictured. Runs excellent, great fuel mileage. Very rare 14" alloys and well over 50% wear left on the tires. I try to be as honest as possible so please ask any questions and I can also send more pictures. I have the right to refuse bidders with low or excessively negative feedback. I prefer pick up but can drive the vehicle to you depending on the state. |

BMW maintenance plan no longer transferrable to 2nd owner
Tue, 12 Aug 2014One of the best innovations in car buying in recent years is the rise of no-cost scheduled maintenance programs. Many people feel really anxious about taking their car in for service, and these deals help mitigate that somewhat. Obviously, it's not free for automakers to implement the offers, and now BMW is altering the way its four-year, 50,000-mile Maintenance Program works for some owners. "To keep such an offer sustainable we had to make a change," said Kenn Sparks, Manager of Business Communications at BMW North America, to Autoblog via email.
The original person to buy or lease the model isn't going to see any difference, but the program is no longer transferable to a second owner, unless that person is in the owners household. Those people include includes parents, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren, in addition to someone like a spouse or children. The original owner just has to advise BMW of new user. "The program change will affect 2nd owners and for them BMW is introducing an optional full-maintenance product that covers the vehicle up to 100,000 miles," said Sparks. BMW offers xDrive on 2015 2 Series
Fri, 06 Jun 2014BMW has released its mile-long list of model changes for 2015. It's mostly comprised of tiny tweaks to options packages, pricing or trim colors, but there are a few interesting new features in there too. One thing all buyers will notice is that as of July 1, the company's destination charge increases by $25, to $950 for all of its models.
The 2 Series gets two really useful upgrades for 2015. We already knew that BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system would be offered on the M235i this summer. However, it won't be the only 2 capable of spinning all four wheels. The 228i model will also be available with the system for $34,850 (after destination), $1,800 more than the standard model.
The other big addition brings a sportier ride to the 228i (with or without xDrive) for those who don't want to spring for the M235i. BMW is adding a Track Handling Package (pictured above) that lowers the suspension 10mm and includes the Adaptive M Suspension, Variable Sport Steering, M Sport Brakes and 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. It's available on manual or automatic models at $1,600 for cars ordered with the M Sport or Sport Line trims or $2,200 without it.
BMW X5 eDrive Concept is utilitarian plug-in hybrid
Tue, 10 Sep 2013Bridging the gap between internal combustion engine-powered vehicles and electric vehicles are plug-in hybrids, and BMW has made one out of its biggest sports utility vehicle, even if it's just a concept car at this point. The plug-in hybrid X5 eDrive Concept debuted today at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and it sits attached to a charge port on the show floor.
As we reported in August, the X5 eDrive Concept combines a turbocharged four-cylinder engine of unknown output with a 95-horsepower electric motor, to achieve longer range and lower emissions. The X5 eDrive can drive up to 75 miles per hour and 19 miles on electric power alone, manage about 62 miles per gallon (3.8 liters per 100 kilometers) and accelerate from 0-62 mph in under seven seconds, according to BMW.
Three drive modes are offered: one that automatically operates the hybrid system, an all-electric mode and a Save Battery mode that operates the vehicle using the engine only.
