Don't know much about the car ! I am currently using it as a daily driver and I have not had one problem. Car runs Good. Smokes a little when starting up but after the car is warm does not smoke. I was told the car has lots of upgrades such as a Mercedes transmission and lots of parts from a 318 parts such as starter, distributor, and ??? A/C does work and cycle but could use a recharge . Heater works and the interior is clean (no rips or tears) It has rare 13" BMW rims I have not seen these on any other 2002s listed .There was a hole for a radio and the person that cut it did not do a very good job. The car does show some age as far a few rust spot here and there and some bubbling. Door dings on both sides. For the most part car is pretty clean. Do not have a key for doors. I can say this I am not afraid to drive anywhere. I had a mechanic look at the car he said the only thing he saw was an exhaust leak. Car is in pretty good shape ! I want to repeat I am using as my daily driver and I am not scared to drive any where . I was also told this car was owned by Bimmer Works out of Colorado . I would think a car fax would tell if that is true. I put the Vin number in my listing if anyone want to verify that. wipers do not work. It looks like motor for the wipers is good but does not have power wire connected. Pictures taken 4/3/2013.

BMW Concept Roadster has two fewer wheels than we were expecting
Fri, 23 May 2014The annual Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como is an opportunity for some of the most beautiful vehicles in the world to descend on one of the poshest places on earth each year. Unsurprisingly, the event is also increasingly the chance for automakers to debut exclusive concepts to some of the wealthiest auto enthusiasts in the world. In the last few years, BMW has become the masters of this annual unveiling with automotive concepts like the Gran Lusso Coupé, BMW Zagato Coupe and motorcycles like the the gorgeous Concept 90, not to mention the just-revealed Mini Superleggera Vision. But this year the Bavarian automaker has been somewhat tricky.
What would you first think when you heard of the BMW Concept Roadster? A lithe, two-seat convertible? Nope. This roadster is a cut-down, minimalist motorcycle with an ultra-modern design. As opposed to the retro looks of the Concept 90, this naked bike looks like it could fit in a BMW showroom tomorrow and not seem out of place.
The Concept Roadster packs the brand's classic two-cylinder boxer engine displacing 1,170 cubic centimeters and producing 123 horsepower and 92 pound-feet of torque. That power is routed to the rear wheel via a cardan drive, essentially a driveshaft, with a single-sided swing arm rear suspension. It's all nestled in a tubular spaceframe.
BMW calls in 50,000 motorbikes over fuel pump leak
Tue, 07 Jan 2014If you don't often see motorbikes being recalled, it's probably because there's less to go wrong on a motorcycle. But a problem with the fuel pump on a wide array of BMW Motorrad products has prompted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall for over 50,000 of the Bavarian two-wheelers across America.
The issue revolves around the fuel pump flange on R-model, K-model, S 1000 and HP2 motorcycles built as far back, in some cases, to 2005 and as recent as 2012, depending on the model. The flange was found to be prone to crack and leak fuel, which NHTSA evaluated as a fire risk. As a result, precisely 50,184 such motorbikes are being recalled to have their flanges reinforced or, where necessary, to replace the entire fuel pump. If you're the owner of such a Bimmer bike, expect a call from your dealer sometime next month, but you can read the full notice below.
Two rare Alpina BMWs given the Petrolicious treatment
Tue, 22 Jan 2013Alpina is getting more and more ink because of because of that rolling cannonade known as the B7 and its closer ties with BMW. The company's tuning business dates to 1962 when Burkard Bovensiepen began fiddling with Weber carburetors, then his company began racing in 1968 and was eventually certified as an automaker in 1983.
Two of its rarer specimens from those early years have gotten a glance from the folks at Petrolicious: the E24 B10 and E24 B7S. Based on the BMW 6 Series, the Alpina versions made one of the most special coupes from the Eighties even more so. According to the video, there were only 44 B10s made, and the turbocharged, 333-horsepower B7S - this was in a luxury coupe in 1982, mind you - saw only 33 examples produced.
You won't be sorry to find out more about them - and see how they run - in the Petrolicious video below.
