2012 Audi Tt Rs In Ibis White, Low Miles, Tech Package, Heated Seats on 2040-cars
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States
|
Very rare Audi TT-RS in Ibis White (approximately 1,000 ever imported into the United States). Classic car insurer Hagerty predicts the TT RS will be a future classic due to its heritage and low number of vehicles imported. I am the original owner, purchased in May of 2012, which means there are over 26 months and 38,000 miles of factory warranty remaining. Audi care scheduled maintenance through 45,000 miles also included.
Options include the tech package (navigation, active headlights, Bose stereo system, and rear parking sensors), and heated front seats. Seats are all leather (not half leather and half suede as in most). This car has been maintained by an Audi dealer as scheduled. No accidents, dents, dings, or scratches. Looks and smells nearly brand-new. Interior and exterior are both in excellent condition.
This car is incredibly fast, with 360 HP and 343 lb-ft torque from its turbocharged inline five cylinder engine. It also features a sport selectable suspension (normal/sport). Most magazines that test it achieve 0-60 times of 4.1 seconds. There is ample torque throughout the rev range. Gas mileage is 18/25, which is very respectable for such a powerful car.
There are three other Audi TT RSes available for sale within 300 miles of Las Vegas (none in the Vegas area itself), all listed for more, and all from dealers. If you are a Nevada resident, you do not have to pay sales taxes when buying from a private party, saving you over $4200 in taxes in Clark County. Plus you still get the remainder of the factory warranty and the Audi care scheduled maintenance package. Car is available to see in-person by appointment (nights and weekends). Serious buyers only.
Buyer to pickup car in Las Vegas, Nevada, or arrange shipping at buyer expense. Will accept cashier's checks or loan checks as form of payment. Due to the amount of fraud on auction sites (especially associated with vehicle sales and people sitting in Nigeria or other countries), you must be willing to be a patient buyer while checks or loan docs clear. Willing to use a mutually acceptable escrow service, but overall, I greatly prefer in-person transactions where we can meet face-to-face.

2014 Audi RS Q3 breaks out ahead of Geneva reveal
Wed, 20 Feb 2013Ahead of its big reveal next month at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Audi has released a handful of images and plenty of details for the all-new RS Q3. As the first-ever crossover from the marque with RS branding, this will be the fourth RS model to go on sale this year after the RS5 Cabriolet, RS6 Avant and the RS7, and while UK and Germany sales have been confirmed, there is no word as to whether we can expect this high-performance CUV to be available in the North America.
Sharing its 2.5-liter turbocharged and direct-injected five-cylinder engine with models like the TT RS and the RS3 Sportback, the 2014 Audi RS Q3 should deliver on performance, as it pumps out 310 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque (peak torque starting at just 1,500 rpm and running up through 5,200 rpm). This potent engine is paired to Audi's seven-speed S tronic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive. Despite its small stature, the RS Q3 still tips the scales at just over 3,800 pounds. Even so, performance figures are still impressive with a limited top of 155 miles per hour and a stated 0-62 mph time of 5.5 seconds. The RS Q3 also gets a sport suspension that has been lowered by 25 millimeters, launch control and weight-saving front rotors with a wave-cut and cross-drilled design gripped by massive eight-piston calipers.
Looking almost identical to what we saw last year in concept form in China, the 2014 RS Q3 looks just as sporty as its spec sheet suggests that it is. Up front, the fascia gets massive air intakes with silver vertical accents and, like other recent RS models, the Quattro emblem is written across the lower air intake. The silver accent motif also continues on the grille surround, mirror caps, roof rails and rear diffuser trim, and the oval exhaust outlet is also an identifying feature of Audi's RS cars.
Watch Audi R8 give Birth to RS3
Fri, May 1 2015In the cold light of reality, it's a fairly dubious proposition to suggest that the Audi RS3 Sportback shares much of a mechanical relationship with an R8. One of them is supercar with a snorting V10 and lithe body, while the other is a still-capable hot hatch with roots lower in the brand's range. However, marketing doesn't necessarily have to sell real life, and Audi's advertisers are nailing the emotional pull of these two models in a spot called Birth. With dramatic music and a sci-fi aesthetic, the R8's V10 roars as the supercar stretches and deforms, and eventually the hot hatch gets plucked from its metallic loins. Regardless of how closely these two models are related, this commercial looks and sounds fantastic. With the US rumored to get the RS3 in sedan form at some point, hopefully we get a tweaked version of this ad.
2013 Audi RS6 Avant [w/video]
Wed, 24 Apr 2013Latest, Greatest Autobahn Bomber Will Not Be Denied - Except To Us
Back in 2008, I was fortunate enough to test the second-generation Audi RS6 Avant in southern France on the supremely well-sorted circuit at Le Castellet, a.k.a. Paul Ricard. I was thrown out there with the 572-horsepower bi-turbo 5.0-liter V10-equipped behemoth behind one of Audi's DTM pros and was convinced in short order that the flaming hippo in my hands was going to get the better of me on one or another of the track's tight esses. I made it out alive and invigorated, of course, but knew that that RS6 Avant was the heaviest that these thunderwagons should ever be allowed to get. At around 4,650 pounds with driver aboard, it was just way more lateral momentum at speed than any pilot needs on a track - or for that matter, on a favorite hot curving road.
Now it's time for the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant to lay us out with a flying scissor kick from the corner ropes. This version of the highway and byway marauder from Quattro GmbH is a decidedly greater piece of work than was the car I drove in 2008. This time, there will only be the Avant body configuration - no RS6 sedan - and, as with the previous generation, North America won't be at the receiving end when deliveries start at the end of July this year.
