1 of 99 Special Edition 2006 Audi TT Coupe!!!

I have decided to sell my special edition Audi TT Couple. There were only 99 of these produced. 33 in Red, 33 in Silver, and 33 in Blue. This is the Blue version. In my opinion, the Blue version is by far the best looking and most desirable. I am selling it because I barely get to drive it anymore as I now live in NYC. In fact, I drive it so little that it has less than 30,000 miles on it! This is such a cool car. It is extremely fast and responsive and sure is a head turner! I am very sad to sell, but frankly, I don't need it anymore and it is the right thing to do. Hopefully someone else can enjoy it as much as I once did. My baby needs a new home. Overall the condition is excellent. The LCD on the instrument cluster needs to be replaced as some of the pixels are dead. This is fairly common in Audi's. The car drives great and is being sold as is, without warranty.

Please let me know if you have any questions. You may message me on eBay or call me at 18456427309.

Thanks,

Scott

"A special edition of the world-renowned Audi TT will be offered in its final year of production. The 2006 TT Special Edition will be available in both coupe and roadster versions, and will arrive in showrooms this spring. Audi will produce 99 Special Edition coupes and 99 Special Edition roadsters to mark the 99th anniversary of the first Tourist Trophy race on the Isle of Man in 1907. The TT got its moniker from the legendary Tourist Trophy race"

Features

Both cars come standard with a 3.2-liter, narrow angle V6 engine producing 250 hp and 236 ft.-lbs. of torque. Mated to the engine is Audi’s famed six-speed Direct Shift Gearbox and quattro all-wheel drive. Helping to put the power to the pavement are unique Special Edition bi-color nine-spoke 18” wheels with performance tires.

Other Audi TT Special Edition exclusive features include unique paint and interior trim. The coupe is available in Misano Red, Ocean Blue, and Light Silver paint, all combined with a black roof and premium black leather interior. The roadster is available only in Quartz Gray with a black power roof and an Amber Red baseball-optic leather interior. Both models will feature an engraved badge on the glove box acknowledging these TTs as “1 of 99” Special Editions.

Standard equipment on the TT Special Edition include heated front seats, Homelink, and a premium Bose audio system with six-disc CD changer. The only option available is satellite radio with a choice of XM or Sirius. The 2006 TT Special Edition coupe starts at $43,539; roadster models start at $46,539. A destination charge of $720 for both vehicles is not included in the base price.

2016 Audi R8 looks like a promising second chapter [w/video]

Tue, Mar 3 2015

Audi shook up the supercar market when it released the original R8 road car. Now, it's hoping to do the same with the second-generation of the handsome mid-engine star. But where the original R8 was something of an analog supercar, boasting a naturally aspirated V8 and a delightful gated shifter, this new model is something much different. Gone is the popular, high-revving 4.2-liter V8 and the snickety-snack transmission, although the 5.2-liter V10 that joined the original R8 later in its life remains. In base form, it turns out 540 horsepower in the second-gen R8, while the V10 Plus model can be had with an impressive 610 ponies. That's good for a sprint to 60 of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 201 miles per hour in the former and 3.2 seconds and 205-mph in the latter. A seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is the sole gearbox, sending power to a revised Quattro all-wheel-drive system that's capable of shunting 100 percent of the engine's torque to the rear axle. Meanwhile, Audi has managed to shave 441 pounds by using a new Audi space frame, with more aluminum and carbon fiber than before. Weighing in at just 3,205 pounds, the R8 is slightly lighter than the new, V8-powered Ferrari 488 GTB, although it's not quite as light as its cousin, the 3,135-lb Lamborghini Huracan. And of course, we can't forget to mention the R8's new look. It's very clearly an evolution of the first-gen's handsome styling. A strong grille and canted headlights, inspired by the TT and the concepts that came before it, highlight the front end, while Audi has opted to bisect the last-gen car's side blades with a body-color section of sheet metal. In back, slim taillights, exhausts that have been integrated into the rear bumper and a central diffuser are the main styling features. Opt for the V10 Plus, and you'll get a sizable rear wing, for added downforce. Take a look at our full gallery of live images from Geneva for a closer look at the new Audi R8.

US diesel model count to double for 2014?

Fri, 23 Aug 2013

While diesel cars are popular on most other continents, these less-complex alternative to hybrid-electric vehicles have yet to gain major traction in the US. As an increasing number of light cars and trucks start to offer these fuel-efficient engines, though, sales are expected to climb as well. While BMW, Mercedes-Benz and the Volkswagen Group (Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche) continue to lead the way, more non-German automakers like Mazda, Nissan, Chrysler and General Motors are starting to get serious about diesel in America.
TheDetroitBureau.com reports that the 2014 model year will see the number of diesel vehicles offered in the US double to about 40 nameplates, but the news gets even better for fans of these torquey and efficient powerplants. LMC Automotive has released data about future expectations of diesel cars in the US, and it predicts that sales should be very close to one million units in 2015 (up from an expected 600,000 units this year). By 2018, LMC's calculations suggest that sales will more than double from this year's expected totals accounting for almost 8 percent of new light-vehicle sales.

Audi confirms new Q1 to cross over into smaller territory

Tue, 03 Dec 2013

The latest Q3 is smaller in every dimension than the Q7 that launched Audi into the crossover back in 2006. It's over two feet shorter, four inches narrower, five inches lower and rides on a wheelbase that's nearly a foot and a half shorter. But in Audi's eyes, it's still not small enough.
That's why the German automaker has just confirmed that it will proceed with production of the oft-rumored Q1 crossover. The new line will form just one of 11 new models which Audi aims to launch by the end of the decade, and will be built starting in 2016 at the main plant in Ingolstadt where Audi currently makes the A3, A4 and A5.
Audi isn't saying much else about the Q1, confirming only that it will be based on a modular transverse-engine platform. But contrary to the brand's Quattro-centric image, it has been rumored to be offered in front-drive form only. One way or another, the business case for expanding Audi's crossover range is as suitably rock solid: The Q family accounts for over a quarter of Audis sold worldwide, with the Q5 accounting for over half of that to stand as the most popular in the range.
