This car has been garaged and is in good shape. I kept up with servicing it and have all the receipts.  It is my second TT from new and I've always been happy with them.  I have my third TT now and this one has to go. I recently had it professionally detailed top to bottom.
Overall, the car is in great shape. It's all original with no body work or rust. It' always been here on the northern coast of California. It's never been smoked in.  Runs perfect and looks good.
It has the usual minor wear:
The paint is very good other than a couple very light small scratches that should buff out.
There is a very small dimple/dent, about the size of a quarter, on the rocker below the passenger door; you have to be in the right light to see it.
A couple of the wheels have some minor curb rash, but not bad.  The tires are in good condition.
There is little wear on the left wing of the drivers side seat. This is the common leather wear from getting in and out.  The stitching is sound. You can see it in one of the pictures. The interior, trunk, and engine bay are in very good, clean condition.
The "folding top" icon stays on when the top is up.  The Audi dealer says it's the sensor in the windscreen frame.  I don't have an Audi dealer near here anymore so it's been difficult for me to get it replaced and I've just lived with it. That being said, the top works perfectly.  No other mechanical issues.
I've priced it reasonably at or below trade in value according to Kelly Blue Book and NADA Guides with a low reserve.
I can help with transport.  I've used All American Transport; moveauto-dot-com , and they were great.  They were reasonably priced, on time, and most important, they had good communication during transport.  You can ship open or enclosed trailer with them.  Call them for a quote. The car is in Arcata, CA, 95521.   I can meet them with the car for pick up.  You can also get bids on Uship-dot-com.
If you'd like to have the car looked at by an inspection service I live and work at the same place so scheduling is easy.  I've used LemonSquad-dot-com.  They were fast and reasonable.
I have the car listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells locally before the reserve price is met.
I have more pictures available. I could only put 24 on the listing.  Email me if you'd like to see them.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Detroit Auto Show prankster 'damages' hundreds of thousands of dollars of cars

Thu, Jan 29 2015

Obtaining credentials for an auto show is generally a pretty selective process, especially at one of the world's premier shows, like Geneva, Los Angeles or Detroit. That didn't stop online prankster Dennis Roady from getting credentialed for the 2015 North American International Auto Show on behalf of a Russian YouTube channel to cover the show. While he wasn't brought on strictly to cause mischief, Roady couldn't help but have some fun at the expense of the product specialists during the serious business of covering the show. He took to an app called "Dude, Your Car," which allows Apple iPhone users to take snaps of vehicles and then edit them to add some serious, but fake, dents and scratches. Naturally, the pranking session was caught on video, where you can enjoy the sight of poor product specialists freaking out over damage to vehicles ranging from the Mercedes-Maybach S600 to the Audi R8 and a lovely Dodge Challenger. Take a look. News Source: howtoPRANKitup via YouTube, The Detroit News Humor Detroit Auto Show Audi Dodge Mercedes-Benz Coupe Luxury Performance Videos Sedan 2015 Detroit Auto Show prank

Next Audi R8 E-Tron could have 280-mile range

Thu, Mar 13 2014

Just 265 miles of range on a single charge? Meh. That's what the folks at Audi might be saying about the Tesla Model S and its estimated range. Because the German automaker says the next iteration of the R8 E-Tron could go 450 kilometers on a charge, or about 281 miles. This information comes from Automotive News, which cites a presentation from Audi technology chief Ulrich Hackenberg at the company's annual press conference. The fact that the car will soon be available "upon request" is also news. The project was thought to be shelved until reports came out late last year saying that Audi figured out a way to upgrade its lithium-ion battery technology to double its range. Audi spokesman Brad Stertz said the company wasn't disclosing details related to if or when the car would reach North America or how much it would cost (we're guessing a really large number of dollars) but he did say it was notable that the project was back on track. Audi made news in the summer of 2012 when the R8 E-Tron set the "series production electric car" speed record with a 8:09.099 minute-time at Nurburgring thanks to a boosted top speed of more than 155 miles per hour.

2014 Audi SQ5 Road Test

Thu, Jul 24 2014

It may be obvious at this point, but here in the United States, European manufacturers routinely give us the short end of the stick. Now, I'm not talking about models or brands that don't come here, like the Mercedes-Benz A-Class or the entire Renault line. No, instead, I'm referring to cars that are sold right here in the Land of the Free in one bodystyle, while Europe enjoys the same vehicle with a wider variety of configurations. A prime example of this is the Audi S4/S5 line. In America, we can have the supercharged twins in two-door coupe, four-door sedan, and cabriolet body styles. Meanwhile, our Euroland cousins get the same trio of bodystyles, as well as the A5/S5 Sportback, a characterful 'four-door coupe,' and a versatile hauler, the S4 Avant. At first glance, Audi of America lacks a vehicle that can compete with the latter's blend of performance, versatility and subdued looks. So, what's an American with around $60,000 and an obsession with quick, conservative haulers to do? Well, he can buy an SQ5. (Though it bears mentioning, our US-spec SQ5 is vastly different than what's available to our European friends.) The SQ5 has a huge number of things going for it that make it a viable alternative to a proper hot wagon, and foremost among them are its looks – this is a sleeper. Audi has thankfully decided not to molest the clean looks of the standard Q5 when penning the sportier model. The SQ5 gains a unique set of wheels: 20-inchers are standard, but our tester was fitted with a set of 21-inch rollers. Visually, neither make a huge departure from the standard Q5 though. Other standard features of Audi's S models are also found on the SQ5, including a set of quad exhausts, silver mirror caps and mildly different front grille and foglight surrounds. If anything, the Q5 TDI diesel I tested late last year looks sportier than today's tester. Audi has decided not to molest the clean looks of the standard Q5 when penning the sportier model. It's a similar story of minor but purposeful changes in the cabin. Audi has ditched the Q5's standard steering wheel and slotted in the excellent, flat-bottomed unit found in other S models, which in this case is flanked by a set of high-quality "alu-optic" paddles. Upgraded leather seats complement the new wheel, while my SQ5 offered the Carbon Atlas interior trim (a $500 option).
