Car is running great just like when I first bought it and rarely gone out of San Francisco city, the farthest i have driven this car is to Sacramento which is 80 miles away. Smog tested it 3 months ago and passed it all.

Its a fun car to drive, very responsive and agile. Still very low mileage and I am selling this cheaper than its value because it needs some cosmetic fix, need fender replacement for both left and right fender and coolant host leaks (easy fix, auto shop quote about $260 to replace the leaking host)

Somebody reverse their car and hit the fender on the left and about 7 months later the right side. The costs only approximate for both fenders is about $400-$600 or lower if you buy parts from used part shops or junk yard.

This is not for you if you wanna and drive right away. Good for mechanic or body shop but you can actually do this by spending some time on one weekend, get the used parts and replace it yourself. Maybe its time to know how the machine works. More knowledge of what youre driving making it a safer and better drive. Another option is to drive the car to body shop body shop and in 2-3 days with about 600-900 of total costs to fix you can have your car looking like brand new with low mileage at a very good price. Or add 300 for new paint all over and you'll be driving this one mean machine on the street that turn heads at a very very good price.

Valued at $12000 but selling it for $8500 too factor in the fix needed. 3500 off and you have extra cash to spend at some elite restaurants with your friends and get some points.

TRANSLOGIC 147: CES 2014 Autonomous Vehicles

Wed, Jan 15 2014

We head back to CES in Las Vegas to check on the progress of autonomous vehicles in 2014. We go hands-free on the highway with Audi, narrowly avoid a collision with Ford and hear all about BMW's drifting driverless car. But first we take a ride on Induct's self-driving Navia shuttle.

Audi wiring cars with cameras to see how ferret-like creatures tear them apart

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

In this German-language video, we see a batch of Audi engineers wiring up an A3 Cabriolet with a network of small cameras. The goal? To help identify where and how stone martens - small, ferret-like animals - attack cars. The idea is to observe the animals' behavior around the vehicles, see where they go, what they chew on, and work to develop solutions.
So why go to all this trouble? Cars and trucks are easily the single-most complex consumer good, and they're subject to the widest variety of conditions, regulations and usage cases that one could possibly imagine. They also come with very high consumer expectations for reliability. Thus, it's up to automakers to vet their vehicles for just about every possible scenario and threat - including weasels. And if that means Audi has to go hire Walter Simbeck, animal trainer to the stars, and string up a bunch of GoPros on an A3, well, they're game.
In speaking with Autoblog, Mark Dahncke, senior product manager at Audi of America said it best:

Audi R8 E-Tron back on production map thanks to new battery tech?

Sun, 15 Dec 2013

Contrary to our October 2012 report, it appears Audi's R8 E-Tron program is back on track, if a report from Australia is to be believed. Drive is reporting that the German brand has changed its mind and won't be sacking the program, despite previously stated concerns about the quality and price of batteries for the R8-based EV.
We last saw the R8 E-Tron prototype in the snows of northern Europe, although footage of the car has been non-existent since that wintry test. This new report claims that a small number of R8 E-Trons will see production, which gels with what we heard back in 2012 and supposed earlier this year. Apparently, some new sort of lithium-ion battery technology has allowed for a drastic increase in range, with rumors of the original 130 miles going up to around 250. According to Drive, this makes the project feasible again.
"Our engineers and technicians are further developing the car and its electric drive system. The range has grown significantly, allowing the potential for a small-scale production," an unnamed, but high-ranking Audi employee told the Aussies.
