2001 Audi S4 Base Sedan 4-door 2.7l on 2040-cars
Carmel, Indiana, United States
This S4 has extremely low miles, it has been meticulously maintained. A family member bought this car with around 40K miles on it got a few DUI's lost his license and it sat for almost two years, I then offered him money for the car and he sold it to me hesitantly. I had the water pump, timing belt, tensioner, crankshaft seal, all camshaft seals, spark plugs, fuel filter, coolant flushed, oil changed, brakes pads and rotors replaced, 4 tires replaced and valve cover gaskets replaced. There's probably a few more thing too I'd have to go dig out the receipts, it cost me an arm and a leg that's for sure! The turbos are strong no leaks no noises they pull hard and fast. The car still does need an oil level sensor on the bottom of the oil pan (they where out of stock and i couldn't get one for a week when I did the oil change, Also needs an exhaust sensor not sure which one but they said it wont affect drive ability just emissions. Indiana is a non-emission state so I did not have it fixed. I drive an AMG and bought this s4 from a family member to get me through the winter because I cannot drive my AMG in the snow. I plant to sell this S4 and purchase a 2012+ SRT8 Jeep thus my reason for selling it. I know what it is worth and am not in a hurry I have a little more than what I am selling it for in the car! You may call or text me 317 628 3979 with any questions or offers anytime. Cash or money order or bank check only no personal checks, I can take a credit/debit/american express or whatever but will charge you 3% to do so. Title is Clean and clear and in my hand. I have this vehicle on consignment at a dealership I work at IndyAutoMan.com This is not their vehicle and is consignment so please call me not them, however check their website for the free carfax report! This is a private party sale, if you want to purchase through the dealership you are more than welcome too but you will pay fees and taxes etc...

Volkswagen Group sales down 15% in pandemic year, but EV sales up 214%
Wed, Jan 13 2021FRANKFURT, Germany — German automaker Volkswagen said its global sales fell 15.2% during 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic but showed significant recovery toward the end of the year. The company more than tripled its sales of battery-only vehicles. Global sales for all of Volkswagen's brands amounted to 9.3 million vehicles. The fourth quarter showed a smaller decline of 5.7% and within that quarter the month of December was still further improved, showing a shortfall of only 3.2% from the same period the year before. Volkswagen said Wednesday that sales fell the most in Western Europe, by 21.6%, while China, the company's largest single market, was down 9.1% Sales of battery-only cars jumped 214% to 231,600 from 73,700 across all the company's brands. The company's electric sales leaders included the Volkswagen ID.3 compact, with 56,500, the Audi E-Tron SUV with 47,300, and the high-end Porsche Taycan with 20,000. Volkswagen said that its sales fell by less than the overall market, meaning it had slightly expanded its market share. “The COVID-19 pandemic made 2020 an extremely challenging year,” said group sales chief Christian Dahlheim. “The Volkswagen Group performed well in this environment and strengthened its market position." Volkswagen Group's brands include Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, SEAT, and Skoda as sell as truck makers MAN and Scania.
How does a 600-HP Audi RS6 Avant Plus sound to you?
Tue, 29 Jan 2013The 2013 Audi RS6 Avant was announced back in December with a twin-turbo V8 cranking out 560 horsepower, but Car is reporting that this badass grocery getter could get even more power with a new Plus model. In a conversation with Car, Stephan Reil, Audi's top guy at its Quattro GmbH division, told the magazine that the RS6 Avant Plus would produce around 600 horsepower, and it sounds like there is a growing family of RS Plus models being planned as well.
Aside from the more powerful engine, the specifics of the RS6 Avant Plus are unknown, but we'd suspect some weight-savings measures and updated features for improved handling. Like recent RS Plus models such as the TT RS Plus and R8 Plus, the RS6 Avant Plus will not be a limited-production unit when it goes on sale (most likely for the 2014 model year).
Average new-vehicle transaction price hits a whopping new peak in December
Wed, Jan 11 2023Elevated prices for products and higher borrowing rates led to record high transaction prices for new vehicles in December, with the average cost in the U.S. rising to a record $49,507, according to data from Kelley Blue Book released today. The report notes that ATPs — average transaction prices — have climbed above suggested retail prices — MSRPs — for more than a year. Sales volumes were up in December on a year-over-year basis by more than 5%, a situation Kelley attributed to improved supply. Overall sales for 2022, however, were off 8% year over year. “The transaction data from December clearly indicates overall prices showed no signs of coming down as we headed into year-end,” said Rebecca Rydzewski, research manager of economic and industry insights for Cox Automotive. “Luxury prices fell slightly in December, but non-luxury transaction prices were up. Truck sales were particularly strong last month, and with many trucks selling for more than $60,000, a new record was all but inevitable.” Industry analysts claim the most obvious headwinds in the new car market are generated by higher interest rates, forced by the Federal Reserve's rate hikes intended to tame inflation, and by generally limited inventory. A recent report from J.D. Power showed that the average monthly payment for a new vehicle loan in December was $718, up $47 from a year ago. But 16% of consumers in December took out loans with monthly payments of over $1,000. Consumers think vehicles, and electric vehicles especially, are way too expensive. Fortunately, manufacturersÂ’ incentives, all but extinct in the past two years, are returning, especially in the electric-vehicle and luxury market, the Kelley data suggest. Plus, "With the new tax credits on the way, electric vehicle ATPs will drop lower for qualifying vehicles,” Rydzewski said. Non-luxury brands, such as Honda and Kia, showed particularly strong performance in December, with the average price paid at $45,578 — a record high and an increase of $994 month over month. Meanwhile, the average luxury buyer paid $66,660 for a new vehicle last month. Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover showed the most price strength in the luxury market, transacting between 2.6% to 6.5% over sticker price. But luxury brands Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln, and Volvo showed the least price strength with some discounting in effect, selling 1% or more below MSRP in December, according to the survey.
