2017 Audi R8 Spyder spotted completely uncamouflaged

We've seen the 2017 Audi R8 Spyder running the 'Ring a while back, and we've also seen a leaked planning document that seems to confirm the R8 Spyder is actually coming (as if seeing a prototype wasn't enough). Here's further unofficial confirmation: a completely uncovered, arrestingly yellow example of the breed. Unless it's been the subject of a clever badge-swap, this is a V10 model (as are all R8s at the moment), although rumors, leaked product roadmaps, and common sense point to a downsized engine offering in the near future. We think it'll be a V6, based on the fact that the R8 technical lead Roland Schala stated that a "V6 is a perfect engine for this car." Don't expect any drastic mechanical differences from the coupe, itself a close cousin of the Lamborghini Huracan. We thought the coupe was "murderously fast and sexy," while still being a tasteful, total driver's package; the Spyder should bring all that and some open air to the table. Audi sketches out new TT ahead of Geneva debut

In less than two weeks, the doors will open at the Geneva Motor Show, and we'll be there to capture all the action. Among the dozens of new debuts we're looking forward to will be the arrival of the new third-generation Audi TT, and to give us a better idea of what we're looking forward to, Ingolstadt has released this series of teaser sketches.
Looking every bit like a TT should and drawing heavily on the Allroad Shooting Brake concept that debuted at the Detroit Auto Show last month, the images foretell of a new Audi sports coupe with a single-frame grille, matrix LED lighting and a deeply creased hood with the four-ring emblem placed atop the nose, as on the R8.
Horizontal lines at the back preview Audi's next design language, with twin exhaust tips flanking the diffuser on base models and quad tips on the next TTS. A cleaner interior design also harkens back to the first-gen TT that started it all and from which the new one draws its inspiration. Audi spotted running R8 E-Tron at the 'Ring

An electric version of the original Audi R8 may never have come to fruition – at least not in a form you could actually buy. But with the introduction of the all-new, second-generation model, Audi is getting serious about the prospect of producing the R8 E-Tron. And if you don't believe it, just look at these latest spy shots. Spotted testing at no less punishing a location than the Nurburgring is the upcoming new 2016 Audi R8 E-Tron. It looks just like the one we saw in Geneva earlier this year, painted in that same shade of electric blue, which we think suits the car rather well. It even has that orange strip of lighting around the side intakes, which drives the point of its electrification home in a rather stylish way, too. This prototype is wearing different wheels, and looks like it has some testing equipment mounted inside. Otherwise, this is pretty much what we can expect to see when Audi begins selling its electric supercar. We're sure there are more than a few eagerly awaiting customers who want to get their hands on an EV different from the Teslas or Nissan Leafs every other tree-hugger in the neighborhood has plugged in to their garages. To that end, expect the order books to open sometime later this year or maybe early into the next. Then the dream of an electric coupe with 456 horsepower and 679 pound-feet of torque, good for a 0-60 time in the three-second range and capable of tackling the Nordschleife, will finally become a reality.
