Congratulations! Thank you for considering my Audi 1993 A6 Quattro. The lowest priced Audi on Ebay! (100 CS as they were known back in the day!) We have owned this car for 14 years and it has served our family faithfully, up and down the highways and snow covered mountains of New England. Maintenance has never been spared. Regular oil changes. No oil leaks. New timing and serpentine belt $800. Front and rear rotors and pads $400. Lower and outer control arms and bushings, catalytic converter $1100. Y pipe and front exhaust pipes $400. The battery, rear pads and rotors were done last week! $400. Cold AC, good freon. Over $3000 of repair receipts! The car runs super. 6 cylinders 5 speed, plenty of smooth power matched with wonderful fuel economy on 87 octane fuel. 5 matching alloy wheels and all year season tires, leather interior, heated seats, CD stereo with remote, power windows, door locks, sun/ moon roof, power steering, power brakes, etc. The blue leather interior and carpeting are both in excellent condition. The silver paint has seen some fading over the years, and some rust is evident. However, the car presents respectably. The car has never been in an accident or ever severely rusted. The mileage is an honest 194,000. Tires and brakes are excellent as is the exhaust.  The ride of this car is as great today as it was when new. The feel going down the road is from another place and time of elegance. If safety is a concern, you will simply not find a safer car.  This is an honest car that you can buy and drive as is for close to no money. Insurance is cheap as well as the cost to register.  Feel free to contact me at (914) 403-1768. John. The car is located in the scenic hamlet of Bedford Village New York, just 42 miles north of Times Square. Yes, this is the cheapest car in Bedford. If you have a need for transportation, please call my friend, Dave Lambert, at Transport Masters (561) 504-7030 for a free quote. Again, feel free to call me first to arrange a test drive. If you drive it once, you will surely be hooked! thank you, 914 403 1768. fireman john louis. A few closing comments. firstly, this is not a new car. It is 21, soon 22 years old. The mileage is honest. Not high, not low. 8,500 miles average per year. This is an opportunity to own a great car for very little money which you can use exactly the way in which you purchase it. However, if a shiny paint job is your first concern, this is not for you. If the presence of some minor dents or surface rust scares you, forget this car. However, if you want to sit behind the seat of this once world class German engineered sedan and continue to enjoy the ride, comfort and safety this car will bring its next owner, buy it and enjoy it and laugh at everybody else who is making car payments on a depreciating appliance. Get it? Good luck. Please, call me first. The internet doesn't print cash....

Coming to America | 2018 Audi RS3 Sedan First Drive

Tue, Mar 21 2017

Audi's Quattro division never let us have the giant-killing, all-wheel-drive RS3. Too sophisticated for the US, they said. Too European. And we only make it as a Sportback (that's hatchback to you). You wouldn't like it. You're more SUV kind of people. Others, those in Quattro's special we-like-you countries, bought the RS3 and constantly raved about it, insisting its handling made the Mercedes-AMG A45 look ponderous (because, well, it is), its packaging was terrific, and the noise, they said. The noise. Over and over, the noise. But ex-Lamborghini president Stephan Winkelmann is now the boss and he's brought with him a worldview that Quattro GmbH never had. And despite being busy changing the letterhead to Audi Sport, Winkelmann found time to think about America. And he must like us because he's moved us to the top of the list. Not only will we get the face-lifted RS3, with its new, lightweight five-cylinder turbo motor crunching out 332 pound-feet of torque and 400 horsepower, we'll get it in a crisply styled three-box sedan. And we'll get it first, before even Germany (where it's built). The RS3's 2.5-liter five-cylinder has enough power to hurl it to 62 mph in 4.1 seconds and, thanks to launch control, the ability to do so repeatably. It's coming with a 155-mph top speed that can be raised to 174. It's coming with limpet grip from a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system. It's coming with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (and don't ask for a stick shift, because they haven't bothered to engineer one). It's coming standard (for the US) with constantly variable magnetic ride dampers, which replace the base fixed-rate steel spring-and-damper setup. But more than anything else, the RS3 sedan is coming here with that engine. It starts with a sharp braaap as it spins to around 4000 rpm and then a pop and bang that will wake the neighbors. And that's in the quieter default mode. It's like an angry man who always wakes up looking for a fight and, finding he can't get one, barks out the last word anyway. Except it never really goes quiet. It goes less loud, but not quiet. Quiet is not in the repertoire. The engine is what dominates this car and the noise dominates the engine. It's always there, always threatening, menacing, bellowing, barking, or popping and burbling. With a 1-2-4-5-3 firing order, the turbo five is a unique combination of belligerent and sophisticated, raucous and operatic, brutal and smooth, and often all of them at the same time.

Here's how to follow this weekend's 24 Hours of Le Mans

Thu, Jun 11 2015

In the pantheon of motorsports, the 24 Hours of Le Mans stands as one of the great endurance challenges to man and machine. This year's event in France already looks to be one for the ages with Porsche setting record-breaking times in practice and the competition debut of Nissan's front-engine, hybrid racer. Thankfully, there's a massive list of ways to follow this automotive attraction. Reilly Brennan, the Executive Director of the Revs Automotive Research Program at Stanford University, and a friend of Autoblog, has once again assembled a helpful couch-kit to organize many of the options. Unfortunately, the old-school way of just turning on the television might be the most frustrating way to watch Le Mans this year. Fox Sports 1 and 2 are carrying about half the race, but the coverage bounces between them seemingly at random. The broadcast begins on Fox Sports 2 at 8:30 AM Eastern ahead of the 9:00 AM start and lasts there until 12:00 PM. Things don't pick up again until 7:00 PM Eastern on Fox Sports 1 for an hour, and the channels swap back and forth more from there. The Fox Sports Go streaming app offers more, but even it stops showing the race a few times. Thankfully, streaming Le Mans is easy. If you can't dedicate 24-hours on the couch, Radio Le Mans lets you listen to audio commentary anywhere with some of the best announcers in the biz. The Automobile Club de l'Ouest, the governing body for the race, also offers an official video stream in an app for $9.99. For a really low-tech solution, the official Twitter is another choice. Brennan is keeping his list updated with coverage changes. You can also check out and download the spotter's guide (from Nissan) in the gallery above. Enjoy this year's race. If you miss anything, don't worry; expect a full report from Autoblog. In fact, editor-in-chief Mike Austin is attending Le Mans this year, so follow him on Twitter for on-the-fly impressions. Audi adding 11 new models, focus on CUVs and fullsize luxury

Sat, 21 Dec 2013

A press release celebrating Audi's delivery of 1.5 million vehicles this year contains almost a passing reference to the future of its lineup: Audi will add 11 models, expanding from 49 models to 60. The news was delivered at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt during the handover of an A3 Sportback to its German buyer, as execs noted that the brand has hit its target of 1.5 million in annual sales two years earlier than planned.
CEO Rupert Stadler said Audi will "expand our product range from the current 49 to 60 models. We see a great deal of potential, particularly in the SUV segment and in the especially prestigious fullsize category." We have little idea of what kinds of cars that could entail right now, other than the Q1, but we'd like to think it could include an RS8, a production version of the Sport Quattro concept and even the Nanuk.
The model aggrandizement will be part of Audi's push to reach two million annual sales by 2020. You can get a few more details on it in the press release below.
