I am selling this vehicle for my father who i helped locate this elusive avant  back in the winter.  He was looking to get out of his 2500 diesel truck but needs more hauling capacity than the avant can offer.

I purchased site unseen this preowned certified a6 avant from audi of charlotte 8 months ago with 52000 miles on the odometer.  The carfax listed 2 owners but it was first leased then bought out by the lessee so technically the same owner.  She traded it in for a new allroad and this is when i purchased.  The car has no history, clean carfax and no major dings dents ect.  Bumpers are very clean and only slight curb check on two of the wheels.  Being a southern car it really has never seen snow nor salt and it had summer tires when i purchased so my dad never drove it this past winter.

He has had no problems with the car and if the future buyer had any concerns it is still under full audi precertified warranty, so we could have it serviced and checked out before transferring title.  We welcome any inspections ect.  Unfortunately the precertification is not transferrable.

The car has been well maintained, doesnt appear to be a smokers vehicle at any point in time.   There is evidence of a car seat imprint in the passenger rear leather but no tears ect.  Everything works and there are no check engine lights.  Glass is all good except a spec about the size of the tip a ballpoint pen that i point out with my finger on the front dash.  It wasnt even big enough to consider getting filled but in the interest of full disclosure i mention this.

It is well equipped, in addition to all the standard features of HID lights, quattro all wheel drive, s line package it also includes as options
premium package includes bose surround audio and power tailgate
technology package  includes advanced parking system with sensor and backup camera, voice control, advance key(pushbutton start, stop)and adaptive lights
audi lane assist
music interface
manual rear and side sunshades

I have included a snap shot of the original window sticker.  He has title in hand, two keys, manuals and all of the precertification paperwork.

The interior is a light gray but is very clean, he has two sets of mats, the cloth and he used the rubber winter ones all the time.  The rear has a nice privacy shade, and an aluminum restraint along with a nylon restraint along with a rubber protective mat.  There is simple wear but no major tears, burns or gouges.

Tires and brakes look good, they passed the precert and were listed at 10/32 tread depth. Firestone summer tires, 245/40 r 18.  Paint looks great, minor imperfections and light scratches consistent with a vehicle of this age, however nothing glaring and this color hides imperfections well.  He will include the touch up paint.

He has only put on a handful of miles so take advantage of this rare southern s line avant.  The car does not appear to have been abused in any way shape or form.
The car is located at my medical office in dublin ohio and will be listed locally with free listing site belonging to c raig.
He is going to be fair re price and the limited number of avants on the market.  the car is available to be seen anytime m-f 8 - 5 and after hours by appointment.  please no joyrides and really only serious offers considered.  bkara02@yahoo.com and the office number is 614-771-9871.

The car drives fantastic, runs great, smooth, nice on the highway. We are motivated to sell and serious, but by no means desparate, so please no low ballers.

I will continue to add to this list as i get questions or think of details i missed.

There is no warranty with the sale, we are not dealers so sales are final and we have disclosed everything known to us.

Giorgetto Giugiaro sells shares in legendary styling house to Audi

Sat, Jul 4 2015

Giorgetto Giugiaro undoubtedly stands among the great automotive designers of the 20th century, having penned the original Volkswagen Golf and Delorean DMC-12, among countless others. However, the great stylist is now longer an employee or even an owner of the company that bears his name. According to Automotive News, Giugiaro and his son, Fabrizio, sold their remaining 9.9 percent of Italdesign Giugiaro to Audi on Sunday, June 28, and the two resigned from the business the following day. The news about this just came out, though. The exact reason that the two men left the company hasn't been made entirely clear. According to Automotive News, a statement said that Giorgetto Giugiaro went "to dedicate more time to his personal interests." Italdesign Giugiaro remains open and intends to keep growing, though, the same announcement asserts. After stints at Bertone and Ghia, Giugiaro founded Italdesign in 1968. He created some masterpieces there, including '70s wedges like Maserati Merak, Lotus Esprit, and much more. The 2000s weren't so kind and 90.1 percent of the company was sold to Volkswagen Group in 2010. Former Audi design boss Wolfgang Egger took over styling duties there in late 2013, but he only lasted for about a year, leaving in late 2014. Since the sale, Italdesign has continued to work, including with the Gea concept at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and the very mean-looking Parcour in 2013. Giugiaro's designs are still highly prized, as well. On September 5, Bonhams is auctioning the Maserati Boomerang concept by him and expects to get around $4 million for it. The gallery above offers a few more examples of his and Italdesign's concepts for VW Group over the years.

These are your top 10 worst-selling vehicles of 2012

Mon, Jan 7 2013

Despite 2012 being the best year of auto sales this country has seen since 2007, not every vehicle got an equally large share of the sales pie. Some barely got a sliver, as evidenced by this year's list of the top 10 worst-selling vehicles of 2012. We've dug through sales data from every automaker to come up with this year's list and, like last year, we've set some parameters to ensure it includes legitimately bad-selling vehicles. The first parameter is a starting MSRP under $100,000, which automatically excludes what's parked in most one-percenters' garages. We're also excluding vehicles cancelled in 2012, even if they garnered sales through the end of the year while dealerships sold off remaining inventory. This includes models like the Mitsubishi Eclipse, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and last year's worst-seller, the Acura RL. Next, vehicles are considered as they are reported by the automaker, which means that, while sales of the Murano CrossCabriolet were probably low enough to make the list, because Nissan reports only one number for all Murano sales, it was excluded. Cadillac, however, reports sales of the Escalade EXT separately from the Escalade, hence its repeat appearance. Finally, there was the question of whether or not eligibility should be given to Suzuki vehicles, as the brand announced in November that it would end sales in the US as soon as its current inventory ran out. We decided Suzuki vehicles should be included as the brand was offering 2013 models at the time of the announcement, and as far as we can tell, inventory levels remained high enough to satisfy demand through the end of the year. Without further ado, below are the top 10 worst-selling vehicles of 2012. Top 10 Worst-Selling Vehicles of 2012 10. Volvo C30 MSRP: $25,500 Units Sold: 2,827 Last Year: – 9. Believing in evolution | 2018 Audi S4 and S5 Second Drive

Fri, Apr 7 2017

Sales figures for cars in America have plummeted. In a robust overall market, where vehicle purchases have reached record-setting levels, car sales fell by an incredible 9 percent last year alone. SUVs and crossovers are drinking their milkshake, now accounting for nearly two in every three purchases, a profound shift from cars' majority dominance as recently as 2012. Audi's all-new A4 sedan was a bright spot in the brand's car portfolio in 2016, increasing by 16 percent, but A6 and A8 sales fell 18 and 17 percent respectively, and the A5 coupe's sales tanked by a shocking 35 percent. Mitsubishi sold more than three times as many Outlanders last year as Audi did A5s. Were you even aware that Mitsubishi still sold vehicles in America? This trend is expected to continue, perhaps even escalate. But Audi refuses to give up on sedans and coupes. Credit the Teutonic monomania that requires a tit-for-tat escalation and diversification into every existing and invented market segment in which its rivals from BMW and Mercedes compete or don't. (An eminently sales-resistant five-door hatchback, the A5 Sportback, joins Audi's US car lineup in a couple months.) Whatever the instigation, we appreciate it. Cars are an intrinsically more efficient, and more fun, way to move people and goods around compared to SUVs. And Audi's new S4 sedan and S5 coupe prove that we live in a golden age of cars, especially enthusiast cars. At first glance, you might not notice much of a difference between the outgoing cars and these all-new models. Part of this is because the design is extremely evolutionary – though when you start with a pair of models that so elegantly nailed their respective categories, it makes sense not to smash the mold. Closer examination will reveal additional facets, creases, and muscularity in the revised designs. It will also reveal greater differentiation between the related pair, especially around the headlamps, grille, and hood, all of which are meant to be more sporting and exclusive on the two-door, a play to fit with its more sporting and exclusive nature. You might place your faith in other more magical ideas, but we're believers in evolution. The interiors of the cars are similarly evolutionary, and also far more similar. This is not a bad thing. Audi continues to excel in cockpit innovation. We credit it with reinventing the dashboard with the amorphously shaped LCD-screened Virtual Cockpit.
