Up for sale is a 2005 Audi A6 Quattro in amazing shape and LOW miles!  This car is absolutely loaded with just about every option possible.  This vehicle is in perfect mechanical condition and drives like a dream!  The car handles amazing in the snow with the supreme Audi Quattro AWD system, AND I AM SELLING THIS WITH BRAND NEW SNOW TIRES ALREADY ON WITH LESS THAN 800 MILES!  You will also get the summer tires that have one more season in them!!!  Winter tires cost me $850 all together and you are getting them with the vehicle!!  This Audi comes in the extremely rare color combo of Black on Amaretto.  Many dealers charge upwards of a $1,000 extra for this rare combination.  Interior of the vehicle is in impeccable condition and extremely clean.  Leather is all in perfect shape, no scratches at all.  Car is equipped with Navigation, Bluetooth, 6 Disc CD changer,  Satellite Radio ready, BOSE PREMIUM SOUND, Front AND Rear Heated Seats, Power Driver and Passenger seats.  Also equipped with HID Xenon headlights as well as fog lights.  Includes 2 Key Remotes and Car Instruction Manual. Full list of options shown below.

Based on national selling price averages this car has a fair market value of $14,708.  I am asking below this price and you are also getting BRAND NEW SNOW TIRES and the rare color combo.  In the interest of full disclosure the only issue with the car is that the radio and CD player will intermittently cut in and out, more so in the cold weather.  I spoke with Audi and they said that it is a common issue with the Bluetooth Fiber Optic Cable which is house under the driver seat and will cost about $300-$400 to be replaced. Besides that this car is in exceptional condition.  When I took it to get inspected a few months ago the mechanic could not believe this was a 2005 as it was in such flawless condition! I promise you that you will not find a 2005 A6 with miles this low in this kind of shape for less.  If you look on Autotrader people are asking 16-17k for these vehicles.  I truly love this car but I recently purchased a boat from a friend and need to buy a truck to tow it around this summer.

Please contact me day or night with any questions or to schedule a time to come and take a look at this car.  You can also reach me by email if it is more convenient for you.  Thanks for looking and I look forward to hearing from you!

Audi R8, Lamborghini Huracan could get twin-charged five-cylinder

Fri, May 22 2015

Engine downsizing and forced induction are some of the biggest trends in automotive powertrains today because. They offer the chance to reduce emissions and boost fuel economy, while possibly maintaining power. The shift is already happening to performance cars with turbocharged four-cylinders finding their way into the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, and future Porsches. Now, there are rumblings of a tiny chance for a similar change coming for the Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8. Why the new powertrain? China. While the market there might have slowing growth, it's still a major country for auto sales. The annual taxes on cars there also happen to be based on engine displacement, and there's a 40 percent rate on those over 4.0-liters, according to Car and Driver. The obvious answer to this conundrum is to build a smaller displacement, forced induction engine for the R8 and Huracan. Car and Driver points to the new turbocharged and electrically supercharged, 2.5-liter inline five-cylinder from the recent Audi TT Clubsport Turbo concept as a possible solution. Audi's e-turbo technology runs off a 48-volt electrical system and lithium-ion battery to produce a total of 600 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque in the prototype. With this mill, horsepower would barely shrink compared to the R8 V10 Plus and Lambo, but it actually makes more peak torque than their 5.2-liter V10s. While this is all theoretically feasible, take the possibility with a big grain of salt for now. According to Car and Driver, Quattro GmbH's Stephan Reil says that there's no work currently underway to fit the twin-charged five-cylinder, "but it has been talked about." That means such a vehicle is likely years away, if ever. In the meantime, a diesel version of the e-turbo setup is on the way the in the SQ7. Related Video:

Audi: 20-25% of our cars will have a plug by 2025

Wed, Nov 18 2015

If you like the promise of Audi's E-Tron Quattro concept, you're going to love this post. Speaking at an intimate dinner in Los Angeles the night before the start of the Los Angeles Auto Show, Audi of America president Scott Keogh had nothing but positive things to say about his brand's future plug-in vehicles, including the production version of the E-Tron Quattro. The most interesting was that he said he expects a full 20 to 25 percent of Audi's sales to be electrified by around 2025, and there was lots of detail to back up his vision. "This is the reality as we see it." - Scott Keogh Keogh wasn't making specific predictions, but it's been a long while since we've heard such a high-level Audi executive act like such a troubadour for the electric vehicle future. As long-time readers will remember, we used to hear things like this from Nissan's Carlos Ghosn, but public predictions have taken a bit of a back seat recently. It's promising to hear reasonable optimism again. "When you look at what needs to happen and you look at what we see happening in the marketplace, we're probably looking at a world where 25 percent of Audi's sales, over the next ten years, just to throw out a rough point in the future, are either going to be full electric or have some plug," Keogh said. "This is the reality as we see it." The reason Keogh is so positive is because Audi thinks the E-Tron Quattro concept is going to birth one heck of an EV. Whatever it's called when it arrives – it's unlikely to be the Q6, as some rumors have it. Internally, Audi is calling it the C-BEV, since it is a C-segment Battery Electric Vehicle – the concept previews a luxury all-electric vehicle with a range of over 300 miles. No one is talking about the price yet, but Audi of America's director of product management, Filip Brabec, did say that the sweet spot for the pricing is in the range of how mainstream luxury vehicles are priced today. "If you can put a car in the market that's priced right ... people are going to want to buy it," Keogh said. Read into all of that what you will. It's not just the price that's going to be right. Keogh said that the key point is changing hearts and minds to want electric vehicles. That means tripling down on public infrastructure (see more below) and making sure the car itself is amazing. "Everyone knows, in the history of the world, launch a defining, game-changing product, in whatever category it bloody is, and - boom - the world changes," Keogh said.
