Up for sale is my 2012 Audi A5 Quattro convertible with Premium Plus package with 14743 miles, this vehicle had only 1 owner before me.  It was purchased at a Audi dealer and is a CPO (certified pre-owned) which means it has 6 years or 100,000 warranty (compared w/New that has 4 years or 50,000).  This is our 3rd car and we don't drive it everyday, it had 14105 miles when we bought it and it now has 14743, so that said we drove alittle over 600 miles.  It hurts to sell this car, it's a neck-turner, it's all original, no paint work, no issues, the car is 100% and 100% carfax.  Audi charges alot of money for being certified and for being certified you are 100% covered and with no stress, the dealer only certifies a vehicle when the vehicle is 100%, I have all paperwork from the dealer, the tires are brand new w/only the 600 miles I put on them.  Cars comes with the 2 keys (1 never used), all manuals and the original sticker.  MSRP was $52,805.00 plus taxes.  The premium Plus package comes with the following:  Audi xenon plus front lighting, LED daytime running lights & taillights, Auto-dimming interior mirror w/compass, Auto dimming, heated exterior mirrors, Heated front seats w/driver memory, Three-zone climate control, Convenience package.  The extra options include Audi MMI Navigation, Upgraded 19" 5-arm-Y design wheels and Audi advanced key.  I purchased the chrome exhaust tips at the Audi dealer which they also installed, I always bought the S5 rocker skirts (rocker skirt is that little molding at the bottom under the doors on the S4,S5,S6 and all S models) in which they are sold separately that's over $400 part, they come primed and they will need to get painted the color of the car, to get it painted and installed is about $300, I didn't have the chance to install them and trust me they look awsome with them on, just check out a S5 and you'll see how it changes the look of the car, the rocker skirts are included in the sale, that's over $400. I had several convertible in the past, but this is by far the best one I ever had in terms of ride smoothness and very quite interior ride, it's just awsome vehicle.  The reason I'm selling is because of personnal issues between my wife and I.  Car may have alittle more miles on it, in case we drive around town.

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

Good luck and Happy Bidding.

Audi's fastest cars won't catch your drift

Tue, Mar 28 2017

"I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast." – Stephan Reil Drift modes are popping up in sports cars all over the world, but Audi Sport development boss Stephan Reil refuses to have anything to do with them, insisting they're a waste of time and tires. So if you want to show off with a wild-looking, tire-smoking, perfectly controlled drift in an Audi Sport model, you will have to brush up on your car control, not your button pushing. "No drift mode. Not in the R8, not in the RS3, not in the RS6, not in the RS4," Reil said. "I don't like them. I do not see the reason for them. We do not see the sense in sitting there burning the back tires. It's not fast." That seems a bit like Reil and his team are missing a trick that is proving popular with enthusiast buyers and isn't technically difficult to do. It's also a whole lot safer than holding down the skid-control button for long enough to switch off all the electronic safety nets, which Audi Sport will actually let you do. "You can do it yourself [drifting] with the ESP off, if you hold it [the button] for three seconds," Reil challenged. "Then it will not intervene for you even when it [the car] is fully out of control, because that's what you asked it not to do. "You wanted the full control by pushing that button. You got it." Almost every fast car, from Ford to Ferrari, now comes with (or soon will) a drift mode so drivers can just stomp on the gas and turn the wheel to instantly look like rally stars. The dangers of do-it-yourself drift control (which our forefathers used to call "driving") make up most of the moral defense for the companies that use the computer-controlled versions. While critics have called drift modes irresponsible, proponents argue that it is far safer than switching off all the safety nets, because there is still a level of skid-control safety behind it. "Drift control is a lot safer than just turning everything off," BMW M chief Franciscus van Meel said during the launch of the M550i xDrive. "The drivers can enjoy the car on a track but it still has another level of safety to catch them if they make a mistake." Audi RS7 vs. Porsche Panamera Turbo, which would you pick? [w/poll]

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

We live in a blessed time - a time when you can buy not just one, but two (or three, or four) monstrously powerful, blazingly fast four-doors that can't only keep up with modern supercars, but in some instances, will outperform them as well. Two of the finest are the Audi RS7 and the refreshed Porsche Panamera Turbo, and Motor Trend has been messing around with the both of them in this comparison video.
MT provides a comprehensive and entertaining look at the RS7 and the turbocharged Panamera as they go through a battery of tests, before getting tossed about on both the road and the track. Starring flip-flop aficionado Jonny Lieberman, it's a must-watch, whether you're in the market for one of the two super sedans or merely want to see the former Autoblog editor again.
After having a look at the video, register a vote for the car you'd park in your driveway in our poll. Hop below for the full video from the team at Motor Trend.

Audi exec suspended over diesel scandal

Mon, Sep 19 2016

So far, just one lower-level employee has plead guilty in the ongoing VW diesel scandal. Up high, the VW CEO when the scandal broke, Martin Winterkorn, resigned right after the news came out. Other executives have also quit or been suspended as well. Today, we learn that one more executive is feeling the heat a year into the scandal. Stefan Knirsch, the head of technical development at Audi and Audi board member, is going to be suspended from his position this week because of his ties to the technology that VW Group used to cheat emissions tests. The German newspaper Bild Am Sonntag reports that Knirsch not only knew that the cheating software existed but also lied about it under oath. Knirsch previously worked at Porsche and then Audi's electrification division. He left Audi's EV efforts behind in early 2015.
