2003 Audi A4 Quattro Luxury Sedan 4-door 1.8l on 2040-cars
Palo Alto, California, United States
2003 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8T for sale. Approximately 91,800 miles (will change slightly as the car is still being used) with a 5-speed manual transmission. A 1-owner car in phenomenal condition inside and out. No accidents or repairs. Extremely well documented with all service and maintenance records from purchase date, including original Monroney window sticker. Serviced regularly by Audi dealerships and friends at 034 Motorsports in Fremont, CA, one of the most reputable and well known Audi shops in California. Owned by a true car/Audi enthusiast, Audi Club member, Audi Club instructor and current owner of 2 other Audis. Only selling to replace with an A6. No interior stains or rips, tears, or scuffs in the leather. No significant scratches or imperfections on the exterior. No scratches on the rear bumper. A few extremely minor dings that are newer and almost invisible (I had the prior existing ones removed by DentPro 2 years ago). Extremely meticulous about my cars and the car is washed, waxed, and clayed regularly, with leather cleaner and conditioner applied to all the seats. Rarely had anyone but a driver in the car, so back seats and footwells look new. OEM floormats removed for WeatherTech mats in the first week, so those are essentially new as well. Car until recently was garaged both at home and at work, so paint is in excellent condition. Timing belt already replaced and new tires purchased/installed just a few months ago. Registration recently renewed and good through April 2015. Never modified and has regularly passed CA smog. Two original keys/remotes + valet/emergency key and owners manuals included. Options per window sticker:
Can detail all the standard equipment (ABS, Electronic Stabilization Program, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, etc.) if needed. Happy to provide additional details or pictures to prospective buyers. |

Audi designs science fiction car for Ender's Game movie [w/video]
Wed, 07 Aug 2013Audi is no stranger to product placement in movies, but the upcoming sci-fi adventure movie, Ender's Game, will be the first time the German automaker has ever unveiled a "purely virtual" vehicle design in a movie. As the movie's star car, the futuristic Audi fleet shuttle quattro was created by Audi Design as a "vision for the future world."
This new movie car comes almost 10 years after one of our favorite Audi movie cars ever, the Audi RSQ that was prominently used in the 2004 sci-fi action film, I, Robot. Looking back, the RSQ obviously used cues from the Audi R8, but it's unclear if the fleet shuttle quattro has any design implications for future Audi production models.
The movie, based on the best-selling novel of the same name, stars Harrison Ford and Asa Butterfield, and it premiers in the US on November 1. Audi has provided images of the fleet shuttle quattro, and Summit Entertainment has released its latest trailer for the movie, which is posted below along with an Audi press release.
Audi E-Tron vs. Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X: How they compare on paper
Tue, Sep 18 2018The all-electric crossover segment is suddenly heating up. Tesla was first to market with its Model X, and the California-based automaker has a several-year head start on the rest of the field. But now it has competition, with the Jaguar I-Pace already hitting dealerships across the globe and the just-announced Audi E-Tron hot on their heels. We decided to see how Audi's new entrant compares with its British and American rivals, so we downloaded their spec sheets (at least those that are available) and dumped them all into the spreadsheet you see below. As you'll soon find out, there are lots of similarities between these three electric crossovers, but each has a unique selling point or two with which to entice buyers. View 24 Photos Performance Note that we're using the Tesla Model X 75D for this comparison, since that's the model that is closest in price to the Jaguar and Audi entries. If you really want the fastest and most powerful electric CUV available, you're going to want to look at Tesla's ludicrous P100D model, but you'd better be willing to just about double the price you see in the chart above. With that out of the way, these particular electric crossovers are all pretty quick. The Jaguar boasts the quickest 0-60 time, but in the real world, that half-second advantage over the 75D won't amount to much. The Audi is a full second behind the Jaguar, and a little over a half second slower to 60 than the Tesla. A 5.5-second 0-60 time, though, still means the E-Tron will be able to squirt away from traffic lights quicker than the rest of the morning commuters. As far as battery capacity, Audi leads the way with 95 kWh, which is 5 more than the Jag and a whopping 20 more than the Tesla. Until we get estimated range figures, though, we won't know what the extra capacity means in the real world. In other words, stay tuned. View 74 Photos Exterior and interior dimensions The Jaguar is the smallest of these three 'utes, inside and out. The Tesla Model X is the largest. Does that make the Audi just right? Maybe, but only if you don't need a third row — the Model X is the only one of this trio that offers seating for six or seven passengers (depending on whether the buyer opts for a second-row bench or individual chairs). A smaller size may be a boon for drivers who often have to fit into tight spaces, but those slinky dimensions mean the Jaguar's cargo capacity is well behind that of the Audi and not even close to the cavernous Tesla. Audi design chief Egger leaving for Italdesign Giugiaro
Thu, 05 Dec 2013Wolfgang Egger, Audi's chief designer, is leaving the company according to a Automotive News Europe, which cites a report from Germany's Automobilwoche. Egger won't be going far, though, remaining within the Volkswagen family and taking up head design position Italdesign Giugiaro, a VW subsidiary as of 2010.
Egger took over the position at Audi from Walter de Silva, and has been responsible most recently for the Audi A6 and A3, as well as the 2010 Quattro Concept and the E-Tron Concept. He previously was head of design at Lancia and then at Alfa Romeo, where he was responsible for the achingly gorgeous 8C Competizione.
If Egger does move to Italdesign, his successor is likely to be Marc Lichte, the Volkswagen designer behind the current Golf. Of course, these personnel changes haven't been officially confirmed, and Audi is thus far refusing to comment on either Egger or Lichte's possible career shifts. We'll stay with this one, so sit tight.
