Finally Previous Owner Payed Off the car and brought Clean Texas Title. I ran the carfax and it has All Clean History 3 Previous Owners No Accident of any kind. What I was told previous owner had a One car accident with No Insurance Hitting a corner of a Guard rail with the right front Door. I drove the car from tow yard across town the way you see it and it drives nice so all drive train and Syspencion is in Good Shape. All the damage is on the right side of the car and will need front and probably the rear door shell. Both doors still open and close. Front door opens only from the Inside ( Something is broken on the Outside door handle ) I don't see any damage on the Rocker or the Pillar so anybody with just simple tools should be able to repair the car at home if they have to. Drivers Steering wheel Airbag and Passengers Dash Airbag is DEPLOYED passengers front seatbelt is Not working. Missing rearview mirror on the windshield. Passengers front door panel is in good shape and all the interior is in Verry Good Condition with NO Rips or Tears anywhere. There is a Dash on Ebay for $495.00 Passengers Airbag $200.00 I haven't looked for anymore parts but I am sure there is plenty out there. There is some cosmetic damage to the right front wheel ( Look at the last Picture ) and it still spins straight. Vehicle Has Panoramic Glass Roof. Loaded to every possible Option. I checked on craigslist locally and these cars sell for around $15,000.00 and S-Line Cars seem to be Very Rare. So if you are Looking to Save some money here is your chance. VEHICLE SOLD IN A WRECKED DAMAGED CONDITION NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTY OF ANY KIND IS GIVEN OR IMPLIED. I have tried to describe the car to the best of my ability. I may have missed something but I think I got all the important aspects covered so PLEASE come and look and Inspect the car yourself BEFORE PURCHASE. $200.00 dollar Deposit is due IMMEDIATELY after the sale. The next-generation wearable will be your car
Fri, Jan 8 2016This year's CES has had a heavy emphasis on the class of device known as the "wearable" – think about the Apple Watch, or Fitbit, if that's helpful. These devices usually piggyback off of a smartphone's hardware or some other data connection and utilize various onboard sensors and feedback devices to interact with the wearer. In the case of the Fitbit, it's health tracking through sensors that monitor your pulse and movement; for the Apple Watch and similar devices, it's all that and some more. Manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality. As evidenced by Volvo's newly announced tie-up with the Microsoft Band 2 fitness tracking wearable, car manufacturers are starting to explore how wearable devices will help drivers. The On Call app brings voice commands, spoken into the Band 2, into the mix. It'll allow you to pass an address from your smartphone's agenda right to your Volvo's nav system, or to preheat your car. Eventually, Volvo would like your car to learn things about your routines, and communicate back to you – or even, improvise to help you wake up earlier to avoid that traffic that might make you late. Do you need to buy a device, like the $249 Band 2, and always wear it to have these sorts of interactions with your car? Despite the emphasis on wearables, CES 2016 has also given us a glimmer of a vehicle future that cuts out the wearable middleman entirely. Take Audi's new Fit Driver project. The goal is to reduce driver stress levels, prevent driver fatigue, and provide a relaxing interior environment by adjusting cabin elements like seat massage, climate control, and even the interior lighting. While it focuses on a wearable device to monitor heart rate and skin temperature, the Audi itself will use on-board sensors to examine driving style and breathing rate as well as external conditions – the weather, traffic, that sort of thing. Could the seats measure skin temperature? Could the seatbelt measure heart rate? Seems like Audi might not need the wearable at all – the car's already doing most of the work. Whether there's a device on a driver's wrist or not, manufacturers seem to be developing a consensus that vehicles should be taking on some of a wearable's functionality.
Audi A3 gets Virtual Cockpit next year
Sun, Aug 30 2015Want the Audi TT's nifty virtual cockpit but need a more practical car? Great news for you, as Audi will bring the reconfigurable, all-digital instrument cluster to the A3 next year. The news was confirmed to our friends at Car and Driver, courtesy of the head of Audi's electronics department, Ricky Hudi. "In the future, there are not so many [of our] cars that will not have it integrated, even into the smaller cars. Next year in the A3, we will also integrate the Virtual Cockpit," Hudi told C/D. Now, don't go thinking you'll be able to pick up a basic A3 and be able to enjoy the new instrument cluster, like you can on the TT and R8. This is going to be an up-market option, just like it is on the new Q7. "If they choose a higher engine or a higher, well-equipped car then they will choose it – no doubt. The price reduces very fast with more people using it and the Virtual Cockpit is an Audi signature now." Related Video:
Watch this Audi RS6 go 208 mph... on ice
Fri, 15 Mar 2013In and effort to promote the high-speed grip of its new Hakkapeliitta 8 winter tire, Nokian threw a set of its new rubber on a race-prepped Audi RS6 and got moving - very, very quickly. In fact, on March 9 on top of the very frozen Gulf of Bothinia near Oulu, Finland, Nokian's test driver Janne Laitinen set a new world record for the fastest speed recorded driving on ice. If you'll recall, this isn't the first time that Audi and Nokian have played this game, either.
Using the guidelines set forth by the Guinness Book of World Records for such things, Laitinen averaged 208.602 miles per hour (335.713 kilometers per hour) over the course of two runs on natural, untreated ice. Another constraint is that the ice speed record must be done using commercial available tires, which is obviously great PR for the new Hakkapeliitas. The press release doesn't make any mention of how the RS6 was prepared to reach such high velocities, but the images of the car make it clear that this is no stock machine. Scroll on below to see the impressive video evidence of the Audi's record run.
