2000 Aston Martin Vantage Volante in truly excellent mechanical and aesthetic shape with 17,201 miles (as of ad
listing). All factory options including single resonator, factory exhaust (sounds great), and the full size
spare.
Not a better used DB7 Volante on the market…this car is completely up to date with servicing. All known DB7 V12
items have been addressed:
- New coil packs (all of them) and correct plugs
- New valve cover and induction system gaskets. All parts were refinished and color-matched at the time of service
and look perfect. You will not find ones that are color-matched or are in this shape. Also, coil pack cover
plates were ceramic coated to reduce heat.
- New fuel rail gaskets. Fuel rails were polished.
- New complete vacuum harness…not partial but the entire plug and play assembly
- New fuel pumps
- New accessory belts
- New power steering hose
- New top mount bushings
- Power steering reservoir lid modification
- New tires ft and rr
- New engine oil / factory filter (less than 400 miles). Correct 0-40 Mobil 1
- New refrigerant and lines. A/C is excellent.
Good luck finding one of these that has had this much servicing…particularly at the low mileage level as this
one. I am very familiar with these cars and the V12 model’s needs and shortcomings. I bought this car for my
wife and did not want a single issue when she used it. The items I have tended to would cost a small fortune and
most used DB7’s need some of all of them.
Condition of paint, interior leather surfaces (driver’s bolster and dash surfaces included), soft top, trim and
glass are excellent with near no wear. Flaws on the car would include:
- Some scratches / paint chips on rear wheel outer lip edge (has been touched up in correct metallic silver).
- Passenger air-bag light has a mind of its own and will come on and go off sporadically.

Aston Martin Valkyrie officially makes 1,160 horsepower
Fri, Mar 1 2019The Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar will have a total system output of 1,160 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. We knew the raw figure from the naturally aspirated V12 engine was 1,000 horsepower, but a few details on the KERS-style hybrid assistance system were released today. In doing the math, this means the single electric motor mounted in the gearbox is responsible for adding 160 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque to the equation. Aston says the electric motor and battery pack were developed with the help of Integral Powertrain Ltd and Rimac as suppliers and partners. We all know Rimac for its ridiculous electric supercars it has made, so it looks to be a smart partnership for now. Peak combined power is made at a dizzying 10,500 rpm, with peak torque coming in at a still-high 6,000 rpm. If you missed out on the engine breakdown from this past December, then know the 6.5-liter V12 will keep spinning until 11,100 rpm. We're guessing this race-car-like number drops your jaws, just as it does ours. Cosworth and Aston Martin teamed up to create this beauty of an engine — sound clips of it running make us think we're listening to historical Formula 1 footage; it's that good. This news comes ahead of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show next week, which could prove itself a launching pad for even more information to be learned about the Aston Martin hypercar. At this point we know there will be an even more exclusive AMR Pro track-only variant and a track pack option for the "normal" Valkyrie, which isn't all that normal itself. It's expected to weigh a light 2,200 pounds and have an unrestricted top speed of 254 mph. Aston appears to be continuing development on the car, so don't consider those final quite yet. Aston Martin testing modified Vantage at the 'Ring
Tue, Oct 21 2014Aston Martin is on the verge of a renaissance that stands to be the biggest shift for the British automaker since it went independent in 2007 – if not since Ford took it over in the early 1990s. It's got a new chief executive, a new engine deal in place with Mercedes-AMG, a new platform under development and – if the new Lagonda sedan is anything to go by – maybe a new design direction in the works. And what do we have here? A test mule that could foreshadow one of the first new models of this new era. Spied undergoing testing at the Nurburgring (where else), this prototype looks for the most part like the existing V12 Vantage S, but with what look to be even wider wheel arches. The question, then, is what those widened wells are there to accommodate, and the most likely conclusion would be that new Mercedes engine. Aside from the lack of grille slats inside that trademark opening in the nose and the competition-spec alloys inset in those arches, there's not much else to go on. But that Aston is testing such a prototype at all is evidence enough that work is under way on something exciting, so watch this space.
Xcar gets first live look at Aston Martin Vantage GT3
Thu, Feb 19 2015Yesterday Aston Martin took the wraps off the Vantage GT3, a limited-edition version of its entry level model that has now become its most powerful and hardcore. But while we'll have to wait a couple of weeks until the Geneva Motor Show to see it up close and in the metal, Xcar has been granted an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Gaydon's latest. The Vantage GT3 packs the same 6.0-liter V12 as just about everything else Aston makes (save for the lower-spec V8 Vantage), but with 592 horsepower on tap and less weight to motivate, it'll out-perform them all. One of the best parts, though, is the engine note which Xcar was able to record and which sounds second to none. We're going to miss big naturally aspirated engines like this once the turbos have taken over for good.
