Very Reliable, All Common Alfa Ailments Fixed. Alfa Romeo 1st Edition Quadrifoglio:
This is one the nicest and cleanest Spider on the market today. Well Over $17,000 spent (I have the reciepts) on all the improvements and upgrades, and hundreds of hours of my time. Plus an additional $8,500 purchase price a few years back.
Most all work was performed by Auto Veloce a highly regarded and rated professional Alfa Specialist / Shop in Miami. I have receipts and pictures for most all of the improvements. The paint( Correct Alfa Silver) and interior were redone prior to me purchasing. I had the Center console, that always cracks, redone in Genuine Leather. This car drives, looks and still smells like new. The engine is smooth, runs strong, burns and leaks no oil. She Runs at temperature all day and is extremely comfortable and reliable. The car drives straight, does not pull, is tight and does not vibrate at high or low speeds. The tires are in good shape with little tread wear and the rims are in good condition. The car shifts beautifully and the infamous 2nd gear Synchro is good.
This car is a definite head turner! Also everything that needs to be accomplished to make an Alfa Spider a reliable and comfortable everyday driver has been done. All the known flaws that are in inherent to late model spiders have been addressed and fixed.
Recent (less than 14mo. and 5k miles) Updates & Upgrades Include:
- New High End Convertible Top (The Frame is also new)and Rear Window.

The car has about 47k on the odometer as cable was broken when I purchased this car about 2 years ago. The Engine runs perfectly. The paint job is a 6 out of 10 and the car has some minor / miniscule dings here and there but as its my daily driver im fine with that. To the untrained eye the car looks like new. The car fax shows no accidents but the left front fender did have some bodywork performed in the past. Prior to and then post purchase the car was closely and professionally evaluated and this car has no frame damage whatsoever. This Spider has a Florida State Title with no liens.
I inherited a 1978 Ferrari 308 and must now part with this Gem of an Alfa. My loss is your gain! $17,500 very firm. Note im taking a $8,000 loss not to mention countless hours of my time. Luckily I Dont need the money whatsoever, so please dont waste your time with low ball offers. You always get what you pay for. No other Alfa in the market today has had this kind of work done.
If you buy another one, sooner rather than later you will have to do all of the above and it will end up costing you a lot more than it did me. I intended on keeping this car till the end so i did everything that commonly goes wrong with these cars and more. Feel free to call me at (917) 684-6993 w/ any questions.
Compare to other Alfa's on the market, and this is the one you will want to own! Thanks for looking and good luck with your Alfa Quest. Remember luck is the crossroads when preparation meets opportunity.

9 thoughts about the Alfa Romeo Giulia Lusso
Mon, Jun 12 2023The 2023 Alfa Romeo Giulia Lusso is the type of car that reminds you why you love cars in the first place … and why everyone has perhaps gotten a little too practical in their automotive tastes. This is a car filled with life and joy, with controls that speak to you in ways that most other cars and their brands have long ago forgotten. ItÂ’s far from the spiciest Giulia available, but if anything, IÂ’d say the Quadrifoglio overshadowed just how enjoyable the base car is. This was the most time IÂ’ve spent in any Giulia, and whether I was driving my son to school, making the L.A. freeway trek down to the VW ID. Buzz reveal, or whisking through the Santa Monica Mountain roads, the Lusso made the experience extra special. Here are 9 thoughts on the Alfa Romeo Giulia Lusso. 1. All-star steering The steering is just incredible, one of the main reasons I find the Giulia so desirable. ItÂ’s quick and feelsome with a terrific wheel to grip. LetÂ’s talk about D mode, which is the sportiest of the three “DNA” drive modes (N is normal and A is eco). A subtle amount of extra weighting on turn-in is added, and itÂ’s perfect – utterly spot-on and natural. That weighting then lightens as you keep turning through tighter turns, which means the car isnÂ’t fighting against you and allows you to genuinely feel the road free from excess weighting as you make minute adjustments. Steering in N mode is still relatively firm on center, but that turn-in weighting is just a bit lighter. Still great during most of the times youÂ’re driving, but D mode is so, so, so good. All-star, Top 10 board with various Porsches, Mazdas and the surprisingly great Aston Martin DBX on my scorecard. 2. Hey, I actually noticed the brakes! Sadly, the Giulia is not available with a manual transmission. Like a giant tease, though, the brake pedal is closer in size and shape to one from a three-pedal car. Pedal aside, wow are the brakes it's attached to ever good. Wear thin shoes and youÂ’re able to delicately brush the pedal, feeling the calipers brush the rotors in kind. So beautifully modulated. I could see someone finding them a little too responsive resulting in jerking stops, but either stop wearing work boots, try harder or buy a Lexus ES. I donÂ’t usually notice brakes unless theyÂ’re especially good or especially bad/weird. These fall in the former category, and whatÂ’s even more impressive, is that theyÂ’re brake-by-wire.
FCA joining virtual CES with in-depth tours and Jeep Wrangler 4xe in AR
Fri, Jan 8 2021CES is sort of, technically happening, but it won’t be the CES weÂ’ve all become accustomed to over the years. Automakers will be doing their best to participate virtually, assuming they decide to join in the festivities at all. FCA is one that will have a little nugget of tech to share with us. A few main experiences will be made available to anybody with a computer. FCAÂ’s main draw is meant to be “highly detailed interactive product tours” where you can get to know a number of vehicles in a virtual world and hear from a “virtual brand ambassador” throughout the tour. You wonÂ’t be able to sit in and crawl through the cars like a normal auto show for the public, but FCA is promising a rather immersive experience online. The guided tour through the cars and technologies will be available in 12 FCA vehicles, two of those being the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer Concept and Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio. FCA plans to offer in-depth talks about how it tests vehicles, too. There are demonstrations planned for wind tunnels, the four-post shaker, an advanced drive simulator and general performance testing. Additionally, FCA plans on providing more insight into Uconnect 5 and vehicle electrification systems. WeÂ’re guessing the latter will offer up details on the Wrangler 4xe. The plug-in hybrid Wrangler will also be the star of FCAÂ’s AR play at CES. Everybody will be able to scan a QR code on FCAÂ’s site, then have access to a Wrangler 4xe on their phone. YouÂ’ll be able to “put it” in your driveway virtually, change the colors and get up close and personal with the interior. All of this will launch on fcaces2021.com at 9 a.m. ET on January 11 (official first day of the virtual CES show), so surf on over there next week if you want to check it out. Maserati honors Juan Manuel Fangio with F Tributo special editions
Sat, Oct 16 2021Argentina's Juan Manuel Fangio was one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time. Logging a record five F1 championships between 1951-57, four of them back-to-back, Fangio was the winningest driver in F1 history until Michael Schumacher won his sixth championship in 2003, almost half a century later. Maserati is now paying homage to Fangio with two special edition vehicles. The Ghibli and Levante F Tributo commemorate Fangio's F1 victories behind the wheel of a Maserati 250F in the 1957 season. Fangio had previously won the world championship for Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, and Mercedes-Benz, though in 1954 he won the driver's championship while driving for both Maserati and Mercedes. The "F" stands for Fangio, and "Tributo" means "tribute" in Italian. Though Maserati does not appear to have increased performance figures for the F Tributo duo, they do come in two exclusive paint jobs. Rosso Tributo is a vibrant red inspired by the crimson hue that represented Italy in the era when race car liveries were determined by country of origin. The second color, Azzurro Tributo, is a blue that represents, along with yellow, the flag of Modena, Maserati's home. Both cars also feature yellow brake calipers and a yellow outline on their 21-inch wheels, a callback to the yellow stripe on the nose of Fangio's 250F. The yellow cues continue on the inside, where giallo contrast stitching brightens up the black leather interiors. The Ghibli and Levante are also denoted by black "F Tributo" badges on the front fenders, as well as body-colored Maserati trident logos on the C-pillars. We're not totally convinced that a luxury sedan and crossover would be the type of car Fangio would love to drive, but if this is your bag you should act quickly. Maserati hasn't said how many F Tributo cars they plan to sell, only stating that numbers will be "very limited".Â
