1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300ti on 2040-cars
Donna, Texas, United States
The car was reportedly refinished in its factory color of Verde Pino in Italy in 2005, and an area of the bodywork behind the passenger-side floor is said to have been replaced at that time. Features include biscione fender decals, polished bumpers with overriders, and period-style Dutch license plates. The seller notes a ding and bubbling paint on the trunk lid along with a ding on the passenger-side front door.
Aluminum 14×6″ GTA-style wheels wear 185/70 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires. The front suspension was refreshed under previous ownership including installation of adjustable Koni shocks, Arese Stage 2 springs, and replacement ball joints. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in Cinghiale Maremma vinyl along with matching door panels. A radio blanking plate adorns the woodgrain dash, though aftermarket speakers remain installed in the door panels. Equipment includes a heater, a lockable glove box, three-point front seatbelts, and factory-style rubber floor mats. The seller notes that the headliner and trunk springs were replaced in 2021.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer, a 200-km/h speedometer, and gauges for water temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level.
The twin-cam 1.3L inline-four is equipped with a single Solex carburetor along with a Magneti Marelli ignition coil and aftermarket ignition wires. The valve cover and oil pan were resealed and an oil change was performed in October 2021, according to the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. The car features an IMASAF exhaust system.

Marchionne uses racial epithet to describe what must power future Alfa Romeo models
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Sergio Marchionne and his Fiat empire have a lot riding on the US return of the Alfa Romeo brand. The endeavor has been in progress for what feels like a lifetime - certainly for as long as Fiat has had the Chrysler brand under its Italian wing.
It's not surprising that Fiat CEO Marchionne needs a perfect first Alfa to mark a return to America. And here's where things get dicey. Nobody would argue with Marchionne's insistence that Alfa Romeo's be powered by Italian engines - as Marchionne himself is quoted to have said at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, "There are some things that are well done in Italy."
If not what he said, then, it's how he said it that has eyebrows raised. "I cannot come up with a schlock product, I just won't. I won't put an American engine into that car. With all due respect to my American friends, it needs to be a wop engine." Wait, what's that?
Alfa Romeo: Reports of 4C's death by 2020 aren't true
Wed, Jul 20 2016The Alfa Romeo 4C is a purpose-built sports car that hasn't put up stellar sales figures in the US. As we found out, it's an uncompromising machine, which is probably one reason why the automaker is struggling to shift a large number of units. A recent report from Autoline, citing Auto Forecast Solutions, claims that Alfa is planning to axe the 4C Coupe and 4C Spider from its lineup by 2020. The report claims that the automaker plans to cancel the next generation of the 4C to focus on manufacturing new models that would have more sales potential. Alfa only managed to sell 309 units this year – that's only 11 more units than the Dodge Viper, which will be going out of production next year. When we questioned an Alfa Romeo spokesman on whether the 4C would be discontinued by 2020, he stated that no plans had been announced yet and referred us to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' five-year plan. The plan mentions two "specialty" models that Alfa plans to introduce between 2017 and 2020. It's not clear whether these models would be in addition to or act as direct replacements for the 4C Coupe and 4C Spider. There's also a possibility that the upcoming models would serve the same purpose as the 4C models, but carry different names. The 4C marked Alfa's return to the US since it left in the 1990s. As part of the automaker's comeback, it plans to put a sports sedan, in the form of the Alfa Romeo Giulia, up against the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3 Series later this year. Related Video:
Alfa Romeo shows off Giulia, new logo in latest video
Wed, Jul 1 2015Alfa Romeo made big waves when it introduced the 510-horsepower Giulia last week. While we reveled in the handsome, chiseled looks, stout powertrain, spine-tingling singing voice, and uniquely Italian character, the red four-door distracted us from the company's other big announcement – its new logo. In a video aptly titled "Alfa Romeo is back," we see the sexy supersedan spear across the landscape, taillights blazing a trail and V6 exhaust teasing our ears. Before long, the car disappears, and we get a detailed look at Alfa's new, more modern logo. It's short and sweet, but is also a nice follow up to last week's debut video. For those who need a refresher on the Giulia itself, the top-of-the-line Quadrifoglio Verde model is powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 that's been built with help from the engine team at Ferrari. On top of that, there's an active front splitter, a perfect 50-50 weight distribution, and a torque-vectoring rear differential. So yes, Alfa's newest sedan sounds like an extremely tidy package. You can read up on everything we learned during the Giulia's debut in our complete coverage from last week. We've got the initial story on the car, dedicated notes from the reveal, and a few bits and bobs from the Alfa Romeo museum. Check out the video up top, and then click over and check out our other Alfa coverage. Related Video:
