Having traveled just over 76,000 miles, this Alfa is in absolutely beautiful condition. Paint still looks great considering the age and a full detail (2 full days of 10 hours work) was performed six month ago by envious auto detailing. Well maintained by Alfa Only (retired a couple of years ago), Alfa Italia and Santos Italian car service in Southern California. Well sorted and reliable example. No accidents. Runs and drives well. Very straight and good paint (minus some dings which are normal considering the age of the car). Exterior, interior, trunk and engine bay reflect enthusiast care. No signs of rust (CA car). Professional installed upgrades which include a Squadra Chip (i still have the factory chip in the glove box), European OEM wooden steering wheel, ipod ready new radio (i have the OEM radio and CD changer if you want it) with new speakers, new leather shift knob with red stitching, Euro front headlights and taillights (not installed yet), No engine or cooling issues (engine stays in 190F range), Koni lowered suspension, Alfissimo International sport lowering kit and SZ Rims (ES30) with BRAND new Bridgestone tires. Recent maintenance inclues 6 brand new coils and a Mobil 1 oil change.
Everything works on this car. The climate control LCDs are perfect (fixed by an AlfaBB member). Leather seats are tear free and are in excellent condition. AC blows cold and heater works great. This is one of my many Alfas that i will be putting up for sale. A deposit of 500$ is required after the acution ends and is not refundable. Please bid accordingly. B.A.T. Alfa Trinity, some of the world's most famous concept cars, are up for auction
Fri, Oct 16 2020Of the cars that never saw production, there are a handful that nevertheless have had an outsized influence. Among the most famous are the wild Berlinetta Aerodynamica Technica (B.A.T.) concepts commissioned by Alfa Romeo in the mid-1950s. Three B.A.T. Alfas were created by Italy's Bertone design house and were unveiled at succeeding Turin auto shows in 1953, '54, and '55. The cars are now coming up for auction for the first time as a group at RM Sotheby's Contemporary Art Evening Auction in New York on October 28. The first of the trio was B.A.T. 5, which like its successors was built on the Alfa 1900 Sprint production chassis. The goal of the B.A.T. 5 was aerodynamic efficiency, and the car boasted a cD of 0.23. Aiding the cause were covered front wheels, a greenhouse with steeply curved side glass, and twin tail fins. The second concept was B.A.T. 7, from 1954. It has the wildest styling of the trio, with sharply curved tail fins. It also has the lowest drag coefficient, at 0.19. B.A.T. 9, from 1955, was the most production-feasible of the group. It features an Alfa Romeo shield grille at the front and exposed headlights with clear covers. All three are credited to Franco Scaglione, working with Nuccio Bertone. They were seen together for the first time at the 1989 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. They would appear together again at Pebble Beach in 2005 and at Bertone's 80th-anniversary celebration in 1992. The cars were acquired by a single owner sometime after their first Pebble Beach appearance. The ability to acquire all three at once is part of what makes this an extraordinary opportunity. The B.A.T. Alfas are being sold as a single lot and are expected to bring between $14 million and $20 million.
Alfa SUV on pace for 2016 launch
Mon, Aug 3 2015While other parts of FCA's five-year plan are reportedly being shifted around, the timeline for Alfa Romeo is holding firm. The Italian brand is now hard at work on its crossover, which arrives after the Giulia sedan. Everything is on schedule for a mid-2016 debut too, according to Automotive News, and US sales would reportedly come late that year or in early 2017. Codenamed Project 949, Alfa's crossover shares its underpinnings with the Giulia and is sized to take on premium entries in the segment, like the BMW X3, Automotive News reports. The model is the Italian brand's first production CUV. The plan for a crossover has been percolating for years, as evidenced by the 12--year-old Kamal concept (pictured above). The Giulia and CUV are two of the eight new models Alfa wants to launch by 2018. In the five-year plan, Alfa execs also discussed two compacts, another crossover, a second midsize sedan, a fullsize sedan, and a specialty product. While not all of these might come to the US, the brand has set a goal to see a dramatic global sales jump to 400,000 units. "We are taking a very hard look at the sequencing of the products that we are launching to make sure that we get the biggest bang for the buck from the utilization of the architecture in terms of volumes," FCA boss Sergio Marchionne said, according to Automotive News. Alfa Romeo cancels plans for Giulia wagon to focus on Stelvio development
Thu, Feb 9 2017Automotive enthusiasts can talk all day long about the benefits of wagons over their respective crossover stablemates, but despite our protestations the case for the wagon seems to fall on deaf ears, especially in America. That seems to be the reason cash-strapped automaker Alfa Romeo has nixed any plans for a wagon variant of the new Giulia. According to Car, Alfa manufacturing chief Alfredo Altavilla believes the company can engineer the Stelvio SUV to drive as well as a Giulia wagon would – so no need for both. Porsche has shown with the Cayenne and the Macan that an SUV can be an excellent performance machine. That being said, as good as performance crossovers have shown themselves to be, the higher weight and center of gravity puts them at a fundamental disadvantage to a wagon. Killing the Giulia wagon is disappointing, but it's a pure business move. The company needs to focus on expanding it's lineup, not building variants of already existing models. Alfa is hoping to boost sales into the hundreds of thousands, and building a low-volume performance station wagon is not the way to do it. Despite the loss of the wagon, rumors persist that a two-door version of the Giulia is set to debut in Geneva. Related Video:
