I have for sale a 1991 Alfa 164S with a 5 speed Manual Transmission and 74,530 miles on the Odo. According to the previous owner the paint Job is only 3 years old but it's holding up well with only the odd stone chip here and there. The car sits on 16 x 6.5 inch Rims with 205 50 16 Tires (there are a few cracks in a couple of tires the beginning stage of dry rot). The po did not see fit to keep proper service records so I did my own service. I replaced the Timing Belt and Manual Tensioner (Water Pump looked fairly new so I left it alone), I installed a New Clutch Master Cylinder, Small Dog Bone Bushing and New Battery (old Battery was weak because car lived a pampered life in a garage and was rarely driven). Bosch Spark Plugs looked fairly new so they were cleaned and reinstalled. A/C blows cold and radio has a CD Player in trunk. Interior Leather is clean with no rips.

Carfax Report states it was in a rear end accident. According to the po the accident was minor with only the rear bumper getting scratched. No structural damage. Bumper was replaced by insurance company.

I bought this Red S to compliment my Black S but within a week of purchase an opportunity arose to purchase my dream car so now it has to go. I have owned it now about 4 weeks.

This vehicle is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied.

The 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia's infotainment system is new, but is it better?

Wed, May 6 2020

When Alfa Romeo introduced the Giulia in 2017, it was praised for its its on-road manners, its gorgeous styling and its performance credentials. It was criticized for, well, just about everything else, including a clunky, low-resolution and feature-light infotainment system. Enthusiasts can forgive many of a car's flaws so long as the driving experience is stellar, and for that reason, the Giulia quickly became a darling. But Alfa can't depend on enthusiasts alone to buy its cars; they need to be seen as legitimate players in the luxury market, and to do that, they need interior tech and materials to match their price points.  For 2020, Alfa Romeo addressed the Giulia's shortcomings. The infotainment system was overhauled, with a new 8.8-inch touchscreen headlining a host of additional features. The Giulia now has acoustic glass for a quieter, more luxurious cabin, and some much-needed material improvements on the steering wheel, dash and center console. There's also a new USB Type-C outlet, a wireless device charging option and some other behind-the-scenes features, like a wireless hot spot and over-the-air firmware update capabilities.  The Giulia's original infotainment system was criticized for its low-res screen with no touch interface, a lack of quick access buttons for key features, and a lack of depth when it came to integrated tech. On paper, Alfa has addressed all of these shortcomings, but I wanted to see how it performs in the real world. To do this, I set aside some time with the 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio to dedicate solely to exploring its new tech features. What I found was a bit of a mixed bag.  Let's start with the interface itself. The 8.8-inch screen used to be an upgrade, but the extra real estate is now standard and, as we mentioned up top, it's now a touchscreen. Both the resolution and the quality of individual page graphics have been significantly improved compared to the old software. Alfa says the underlying hardware was improved to support the improved visual experience.  Improved, perhaps, but not perfected. The interface still lags inputs (especially touch) and lacks a crisp, responsive feel. Even after the system has fully loaded, there's a visible delay between finger gestures and responses from the interface.

Alfa Romeo Tonale will finally be revealed in February

Mon, Jan 24 2022

Following a couple of delays, the Alfa Romeo Tonale compact SUV will finally, officially be shown to the public. The big reveal date is February 8, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. eastern time. The Tonale was first shown in concept form at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The production model was expected to be shown sometime last year, but a couple issues prevented that. Reportedly, Alfa's CEO wasn't happy with how the plug-in hybrid system was working. Then, the same chip shortages that have affected almost every manufacturer of high-tech equipment further delayed the SUV. The photos you're looking at above come via a supposed leak at a design clinic from a couple years ago. We're expecting the Tonale to be fairly closely related to the Jeep Compass, and it will use versions of the plug-in hybrid system that's available on the Jeep in Europe. Two different output variants will probably be offered, one with 190 horsepower and the other with around 240. The model will be an important addition to Alfa's small lineup, particularly in a popular SUV form factor. Related Video:

The Alfa Romeo Giulia starts at $38,990, or $73,595 for the Quadrifoglio

Thu, Dec 8 2016

Although the 4C has been on sale for more than a year, Alfa Romeo's US comeback tour really starts with the all-new Giulia. The car goes on sale this month and is expected to compete head to head with sport sedan competition from Germany, England, Japan, and America. The automaker released details on Giulia trims and pricing, and it appears to be right in the mix with the competition. The new Alfa Romeo Giulia starts at $38,990 with destination. While that's on the high side of its class, it's still right in the mix. All of the competition falls between the $34,445 BMW 3-Series and the $40,425 Mercedes-Benz C300. Where the Giulia really shines at this price point is performance, with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine that generates 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque. Alfa claims a 5.1 second 0-60 mph time for the base model, which trounces the competition. The big bad Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio starts at $73,595 with destination. That's quite a bit more than the BMW M3 and Cadillac ATS-V, but it's right on par with the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Sedan. The four-leaf clover has a 2.9-liter biturbo V6 that turns out 505 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. That's good for a 3.8 second 0-60 mph and a record-setting 7:32 Nurburgring lap time, if you care about such things. The standard Giulia and Giulia Ti ($40,990) are available with FCA's Q4 all-wheel-drive system for an extra $2,000. The Giulia Ti is available with Ti Lusso and Ti Sport packages for $2,250 each. Think of the Ti Sport as the Quadrifoglio light and the Ti Lusso as the comfortable and relaxed model. All versions of the Giulia come equipped with an 8-speed automatic, and Alfa Romeo currently has no plans to offer a stick shift in the US. The Giulia Quadrifoglio goes on sale this month, with the rest of the lineup hitting showrooms next month. If shoppers can look through the vast competition for what on paper is the sportiest of small sport sedans on the market, Alfa may be here to stay. Related Video:
