Up for sale, in great condition inside and out.
Inside: Non-smoking, like new interior with no rips, stains, smells, etc Outside: Great condition all the way around. I bought this car new in September 2011. Always garaged, paint shines like new. No accidents, no stories, all original, everything completely stock. The car has been serviced by the dealer since new and is not due for service until 40,000 miles. I am very particular about my cars and my descriptions. There are 2 imperfections on the exterior (see photos) 1. Two of the wheels are perfect, the other 2 have some small curb rash, one has about a 2.5 inch scrape the other, about 1 inch, barely noticeable (see photos) 2. Small dent in front passenger door (see photo) Warranty: This was copied from Acura website, please see acura.com for more detailed coverage. 2011 TSX is covered for 4 years or 50,000 miles. Powertrain Limited Warranty is covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Since the original purchase date was September 16th, 2011, that gives you complete coverage until September 16th, 2015 or 50,000 miles and September 16th, 2017 or 70,000 miles on the Powertrain. Honda recalling 405K vehicles over airbag issue
Thu, 19 Sep 2013Honda is in hot water due to an airbag glitch that is causing it to recall 405,400 vehicles. According to the campaign, the supplemental restraints might fire for no apparent reason. 342,000 of the affected vehicles are 2003 and 2004 Odyssey minivans, which gels with a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation we reported on in June.
Joining the Odyssey in the recall is the Acura MDX, with 63,400 units covered from the 2003 model year. Unlike the van, though, the MDX's recall covers Japan and Australia, in addition to the US and Canada. Both vehicles are suffering from an airbag control unit that is prone to malfunction when exposed to electrical noise, a condition that can cause the airbags to deploy without warning. Although no crashes have been reported in such scenarios, there have been some injuries typical of airbag deployment - abrasions and such.
Honda will be mailing recall notices to owners near the end of October, asking them to bring their vehicles into the dealership for installation of an electrical noise filter. The repair will take about an hour and be free of charge. Scroll down for the official announcement from Honda.
eBay Find of the Day: S.H.I.E.L.D. Acura TL from The Avengers
Thu, 23 Jan 2014If you're a fan of The Avengers from 2012, then here's your chance at owning a piece of movie memorabilia. Following last year's auction of a Acura MDX from that movie, Scottsdale Motor Company is now listing another S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle on eBay Motors - this time a 2012 Acura TL.
Unlike the MDX, this TL has fewer modifications limited to the custom front push bumper, matte-black paint job and the various LED emergency lights in the back window and in the front bumper, while the inside appears untouched with the exception of small auxiliary switches. The current auction price of this car $32,900 - compared to the $41,535 MSRP of a new TL with Advance Package back in 2012 - but this is a steal compared to the movie-prop Monroney that comes with the car listing the "palladium-powered" sedan at $227,085. The seller says that this car was only one of five built for the movie, and it only has 1,111 miles on the odometer.
After the S.H.I.E.L.D. MDX and TL, we can only hope that Scottsdale Motor Company will offer Tony Stark's Acura NSX Roadster as its next movie car auction.
Did Acura just confirm it's working on an Integra successor?
Fri, 07 Nov 2014The Acura Integra (pictured above in Type R trim) was one of the definitive vehicles of the Acura brand in the US, having joined the Legend at the marque's birth here. However, since the retirement of the RSX, the luxury arm of Honda has lacked a compact, sporty coupe to fill that niche. There appears to be a chance of that absence possibly coming to an end in the coming years, though.
Acura lead designer Dave Marek spoke to Car and Driver during the SEMA Show and said, "A performance brand needs a flagship and it needs an accessible sport car. Not a sports car, but a sport car." However, he also suggested that a new model wouldn't be spinning its tires too soon, at least not before 2017 by his indication.
While the vague possibility of a new sports coupe is still years away, Acura is taking its early steps in a brand revitalization campaign that includes spinning the luxury arm further away from Honda. The strong initial sales of the TLX are certainly a good start, but the work appears to just be beginning, according to Marek. "There are changes coming, and then there are more changes coming," he said to Car and Driver.
