OVERVIEW:
For sale by owner is this super clean 2004 Acura TL. I am the second owner and a non-smoker. This Acura TL has a clean title with a perfect Carfax Report (see below). This car has never been in an accident, never smoked in, and the paint is all original. This TL has been very well kept. Always driven responsibly. It drives perfect with no issues or problems. No smoke, no leaks, no check engine lights, no weird smells, nothing. This TL has been maintained very well and all maintenance is up-to-date. This car needs nothing. I have service records in hand including all major services (timing belt and water pump done at 107K miles). This Acura starts right up every time and idles smoothly. The 3.2L VTEC engine runs nice and quiet with great power on demand. The automatic transmission shifts properly through all gears. The brakes work great with no noises or harsh vibrations. The car drives down the road straight with no pulling or shaking. This TL handles great and drives great in all weather conditions, including snow (front wheel drive with traction control). Suspension is quiet and has no issues. This car has a nice sporty feel to it and I average 29 mpg on the highway. The heat works great and the a/c is ice cold. All power windows and the power moonroof works great. The Viper remote start works awesome and currently it is set to 20 minutes due to the super cold weather we've had. All interior gadgets work perfect with no issues. The 8 speaker premium sound system sounds awesome. All speakers sound perfect (very crisp and clear). I am confident with proper maintenance and a responsible owner this car will easily go another 150K miles.

EXTERIOR:
This TL is a beautiful car. The Redondo Red Pearl exterior is clean and glossy and still has a very nice shine. There are no major dents or scratches and absolutely no rust. All glass is perfect with no chips or cracks. The rims are very clean with no dents, bends, or brake dust stains. One rim has a little curb rash but that's it. The headlights are clear with no cracks or discoloration. The factory installed gold emblems look nice but show a little age. The oem chrome exhaust tips are super clean and still look brand new (I polish them regularly). There are a few touched up paint chips from highway use but other than that this car is super clean with only a few minor scratches from use and 1 very small door ding (see pictures below). This car would look brand new with a nice wax and buff. Overall the exterior is super clean and looks very nice.

INTERIOR:
The ebony interior is very clean as well. There are no broken or missing interior pieces. All buttons and gadgets work perfect with no issues. The leather seats are very comfortable and still look great with little wear. There are no cuts, rips, or stains on the seats. The heated front seats work great. The carpet is clean with no holes or stains. The headliner and door panels are very clean with a little wear on drivers door aluminum trim. The dash has no cracks or issues. The center console and armrest look nice with only a little wear on the center aluminum trim. The steering wheel looks great and has no issues and shows little wear from use. All interior lighting works perfect with no burnt out bulbs. The dash panel, Navigation area, and gauge cluster are clean and look new with no defects. The floor mats are clean with no holes or stains. The trunk area is clean and the car comes with a dealer installed TL rubber tray. The car comes with the oem spare tire and tools. The engine bay is super clean with no issues. Overall the interior is very clean and comfortable.

OPTIONS:
This TL is fully loaded with options. It has the technology package and the factory installed gold package. Some of the options include Voice Activated Navigation-Radio-Climate Control, Dual Auto Climate Control, 8 inch Display screen for Turn by Turn Navigation System, XM Radio, in-dash 6 disc CD/MP3 player with cassette player, DVD Player, 8 Speaker Premium Sound System, Dual Front Airbags, Front and Rear Side Airbags, Auto Up/Down Power Windows, Power Moonroof, Spoiler, Premium Wheels, Bi-Xenon HID Headlights (lowbeams and highbeams are HID), Heated Leather, Traction Control, Hands Free Link Bluetooth, Garage Door Opener, Remote Start, Keyless Entry with Remote Windows, Anti-theft Security Alarm, Driver Memory Link, Power and Heated Side Mirrors, Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror, Cruise Control, ABS Brakes, Tilt and Telescoping Steering Wheel, Dual Power Seats, ect, ect. All options work perfect with no issues.

MAINTENANCE:
This TL has been properly maintained. Oil has been changed every 5K miles with 5W20 Mobil 1 Full Synthetic. The A/C System was recharged last summer and works perfect. Any time this car needed something, it got it. The most recent major service was at 107K miles and at that time the following was completed; Timing Belt and Water Pump replaced, New Denso Iridium Spark Plugs Installed, New Cabin Air Filter, K&N Air Filter installed, Brake Fluid Flush, Transmission Fluid Serviced, New Rear Brake Pads and Rotors installed, Cooling System Flush, Remote Start installed, and a New Acura Dealer Key Programmed. Acura spotlights NSX pace car at Pikes Peak

Tue, Jul 14 2015

You can't just have any old street car setting the pace at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, can you? Of course not. For that task, you'd need a supercar with exceptionally high performance capabilities. Something like the new Acura NSX, for example. Fortunately that's just what the organizers of the annual Race to the Clouds selected to serve as official pace car this year. Honda's new hybrid supercar, set to be built in Ohio, donned a unique livery, a senior PR rep behind the wheel, and a smattering of GoPro cameras to speed up the 14,110-foot mountain. Naturally the twin-turbo V6 engine, nine-speed, dual-clutch transmission, and three-motor Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system formed an integral part of the package as well, even if its output hasn't been officially released more specifically than the "over 550 horsepower" we've been told to expect. The Japanese automaker also placed another couple dozen cameras along the 12.4-mile route and its 156 turns. Which is a good thing, considering that most of us weren't there in Colorado to see it make its run up the mountain, and nobody was there at each corner as it passed – except, of course, for the driver, Sage Marie. The rest of us will want to check out the minute-long clip Acura has released to see the NSX gun for the sky.

There will be a third-generation NSX, says Acura V.P.

Tue, Aug 24 2021

The second-generation Acura NSX might be going out in a blaze of glory, but it won't be the last we see of the supercar. This promise comes directly from Acura Vice President and Brand Officer Jon Ikeda. Furthermore, Ikeda implied that the next version might be electric. Ikeda divulged thoughts about a third-gen NSX while being interviewed by The Drive and Motor Trend. To the former, he explained Acura's mission with the the mid-engined supercar. "We make an NSX when there's something we want to say. The first-gen was gas. Second-gen was a hybrid. There's gonna be another one." Unless Ikeda is talking about hydrogen or some kind of heretofore undisclosed technology likeĀ  Mr. Fusion, this pretty much means electric. That means the NSX is likely to take another hiatus after the Type S closes out the 2022 model year. Between the first and second generations, the halo sports car had an 11-year absence on the market. Ikeda laid out the reasons for the nameplate's 2016 return when he spoke to Motor Trend. "Honda is one of the biggest gasoline engine makers in the world and needed to see what will happen in a world turning away from engines," he explained. It was always meant to be a halo car. "We didn't go into it to make a lot of money," he stated. The second generation had a much shorter lifespan than the game-changing first gen. That one spanned one and a half decades, from 1990 to 2005. The current generation, once it exits stage left in 2022, will have only had a six-year run. One could argue that the first gen overstayed its welcome, though. After thoroughly turning the supercar world on its ear, by forcing Ferrari et al to reconsider their engineering, the NSX's competitors quickly caught up to Honda's lead. While the NSX did undergo a couple of major changes during its first lifespan, by the time it left the market it was more of a dwindle. Acura is determined not to let that happen with the current NSX. In this case, they're sending it off with the most powerful iteration yet, a 600-horsepower Type S with reworked turbos, cooling system and aerodynamics and limiting production to 350 worldwide. Ikeda told Motor Trend, "We didn't want to let the NSX die on the vine either. To go quietly into the night is not what it deserves."

Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] GRAMMY award winning artist and actor Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges sits down with Autoblog to talk about flying cars, Tesla, and his 1993 Acura Legend. I'm Eddie Sabatini and this is your Autoblog Minute. As Acura prepared for the 2015 SEMA show, the trade show for automotive aftermarket professionals and enthusiasts, they had a chance to take on a unique project: Restoring a damaged 1993 Acura Legend [00:00:30] owned by Ludacris. Autoblog Minute had a chance to sit down with the man himself and discuss why he's held onto this car for so long: [00:01:00] [Ludacris Interview] While we were with him we couldn't resist the chance to ask Ludacris some other questions, like: What does he think of Tesla's Ludicrous mode? [00:01:30] [Ludacris Interview] What does he think of autonomous vehicles? [Ludacris Interview] Does he have a favorite memory from when he first bought his Acura Legend? [00:02:00] [Ludacris Interview] And, if he could have any car today what would it be? [Ludacris Interview] It's always a pleasure to be able to interview a celebrity especially one that's a fellow enthusiast. [00:02:30] For Autoblog, I'm Eddie Sabatini.
