2003 Acura Rsx Type-s Coupe 2-door 2.0l, Dc5 on 2040-cars
Jacksonville, Florida, United States
This is my 03 Acura RSX Type-S that I purchased in 2004 from the local dealership. This car was my daily driver and currently has 134,466 original miles on it. The car has been on countless road trips with me. It has the typical wear and tear on the body with a few rock chips on the front bumper. What is to be expected with an 10 year old car. The car has one report on it that I am aware of. A friend of mine put his car in drive instead of reverse and hit my bumper. Being that I just got the car, I did not have the extra cash and had insurance pay to replace my rear bumper. The work was done at a reputable body shop here in Jacksonville. I am selling the car as it sits currently with Tein Super Street Coilovers, JDM Headlights with black housing, Powerstop Cross drilled rotors all around, JDM coin holder, Boomerang Armrest, Type-S Floor mats, Custom "Honda" H center caps, Honda "H" Emblems, Both front and rear mud flaps, Competition clutch and new flywheel, and JDM window visors. Only engine modification was the AEM V2 Intake. The car was taken for the transmission recall back in 04, Duval Acura took care of it. I replaced the dinky USDM Type-S emblem and chose the JDM Type-S emblem on the trunk. The car sits on 4 Falken 912's with plenty of life still on them. This is a great project if someone want's to continue from where it is, or just to leave as it is and drive.
CAR DOES NOT COME WITH THE TEIN HOOD DAMPERS, TEIN EDFC, OR KENWOOD DVD/NAVI FROM THE PICTURES, THOSE ARE ON OTHER AUCTIONS. Con's: Oxidation on headlights and roof, Clutch is still good but whines. Also, not stock, so it takes some getting used to. May need to replace the sunroof rubber gasket? Not sure, just heard that this should be replaced after a few years, and i have not. Being in Florida, the sun takes a toll on rubber and paint. Pro's: Tires have plenty of tread and life, AC is ice cold, Tein Super Street Suspension and all the modifications listed above, This car has never had engine modifications done except the AEM V2 Intake, Do not hesitate to take this car on a long road trip. Ask any questions prior to bidding and I will answer them. Arrange shipping or transportation prior to winning the bid. I can try and help, but car will not be released until payment is made and cleared. |

Acura Integras worked over by 3 popular tuners as SEMA custom builds
Wed, Oct 26 2022The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show is a chance for aftermarket manufacturers and automakers to come together with potential customers and the media to show off their custom rides. Honda and Acura are no strangers to the event, as people have been bringing hotted-up models from both automakers to the show for years. This year, three builders are bringing their interpretations of Acura’s newest car, the 2023 Integra. Acura gave the car to Daijiro Yoshihara, Sara Choi, and Coco Zurita, and each came up with a unique build for the car. YoshiharaÂ’s car features a Spoon air filter and exhaust, BBS REV7 wheels, EVS tuning exterior components, and a host of motorsport-ready interior upgrades. ChoiÂ’s Integra features a GReddy intercooler and oil cooler, Advan wheels, a wide body kit, and Battle Craft interior parts. Zarita installed several powertrain upgrades, including an AÂ’PEXI exhaust, an HPS cold air intake, a GReddy intercooler, and HPS turbo components. The cars made their debut at The Petersen Museum on October 23 and will head to SEMA from November 1-4. From there, Acura will take them to Radwood L.A. on November 19 and the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 14-16. The Integra is still relatively new, so the aftermarket doesnÂ’t offer the wealth of upgrades that older Honda Civics and other Japanese cars enjoy. Some companies have already released dedicated tunes and other car mods, so weÂ’re hopeful these SEMA rigs will help jumpstart development for the vehicle.
Honda signs on as Pikes Peak sponsor, race participant
Sat, 27 Apr 2013Honda plans to storm the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 30, entering ten cars in nine classes at the race to the sky, and signing on as a corporate sponsor. Part of the company's return to grassroots racing - if that's what you can call factory-backed efforts - the banners of Honda R&D and Honda North America will fly on these entries: a first-gen Acura NSX, an Acura TL SH-AWD, Honda CR-Z, Honda Fit EV, one CRF450R and two CRF250R motorcycles, a CBR1000RR motorcycle and a TRX450 ATV.
One more entry, details of which are to be announced later, will be driven by IndyCar pilot Simon Pagenaud of Schmidt Hamilton HP Motorsports. LoveFab (pictured above during practice last year) will be there with its new, NSX-based Enviate, but as a privateer entry.
Honda's been to the mountain before, with high-powered gear in 2012 and record-setting EVs in 1994 and 1999, but it's never made noise like this. Have a read of the press release below for more info.
2019 Honda S2000 roadster rumors swell
Thu, May 19 2016Our friends over at Car and Driver have been speculating about a possible S2000 roadster from an unnamed insider source. While there's not much to go on, it certainly squares with a steady drumbeat of sporty car innuendo surrounding the company. Let's briefly connect the dots and see if a Honda S2000 might be on the way by 2018, as the rumor says. The little roadster pictured above? Definitely not what a new S2000 would look like. That's the S660, which is sold in Japan and shares some components with the N-Box and N-One microcars. As we told you last year, after some hints that it would come to the US, Honda's brass decided it was too small. That was disappointing, but probably the right call. On the other hand, Honda finally brought out the 2017 Acura NSX, which may have its flaws but still represents a unique platform that the company spent a great deal of yen building ( in Ohio, by the way). It's that bit that the rumor hinges on: Honda's willingness to develop unique platforms for its sporty models. It'd need that for an S2000 revival, because there's certainly no Honda model that could donate its underpinnings at this moment. Honda execs have been clear that the company is under pressure from dealers over the lack of verve in the company's lineup. American Honda Executive Vice President John Mendel told Automotive News last year that dealers "want anything in the sports car world. They're going, 'Gimme a sports car.' They want a retractable hardtop; they want a high-horsepower $20,000-sports car. Because that's the nature of what they do." Honda is allegedly going to utilize some sunk cost by employing the new Civic Type R's engine in this roadster. That 2.0-liter turbocharged four makes 306 hp in the Civic, and would make slightly less than that in the S2000, according to the rumor. At this stage, these rumors are mostly wishful thinking fanned by the flames of dealer pressure for sporty models. We hope Car and Driver's insider has it right, because the S2000 was a phenomenal car that deserves a follow-up – and Honda deserves more fun cars in its American showrooms.
