Ok, first of all, this is what I do. Performance is my life and I build and sell. Call me Jojo the builder. This engine and transmission are the originals with matching number tags. i will provide a clean copy of title upon purchase. I got it Dyno tuned and it produced 256whp on a dynojet!!!!! I will provide a Dyno chart as well. a ton of quality performance upgrades. Head has been COMPLETELY blueprinted AND rebuilt. The block was not rebuilt by me however it was fully inspected and was free of any imperfections. previous owner informed me that the block was rebuilt prior to him owning, and it looked as if it did not have many miles on it. Here's a list of mods. Looked perfect - checked crank bearings and thrust bearing. No signs of abnormal wear TRANSMISSION: (ITR=integra type r) - Installed ITR 4.7 final drive w/ new needle bearings, for aggressive acceleration increase over the stock 4.3fd - Installed ITR LSD (limited slip differential) for superior grip over stock open differential - REVO short shifter - k-tuned shifter box bushings - k-tuned shifter cable bushings - 300whp upgraded axles - new OEM fluid - checked all syncros looked great! ENGINE RUNS STRONG! I put a ton of money and personal time into building this car and did not cut any corners.. Just like any performance modifications done to anything, there is NO warranty but I can guarantee you that the utmost attention to detail was taken while building this engine!! I ran 256whp on dynojet with "Injector dynamics 1000cc injector" on E-85 I bought this car this year in march. All the upgrades are less then 5 months old and only has 1500 miles on them tops! Cams and head work only has 500 miles on it. |

Honda recalling 204k CR-V, Odyssey, Acura RDX models over rollaway risk
Fri, 19 Apr 2013Honda has announced a recall over a possible rollaway risk that affects 204,169 crossover and minivan models. The specific vehicles in question are the 2012-13 Honda CR-V and Odyssey, as well as the 2013 Acura RDX.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the brake-shift interlock blocking mechanism may become slow and allow the gear selector to be moved from the Park position without pressing the brake pedal." In other words, these vehicles could unintentionally roll away.
NHTSA states that this scenario may only happen during sub-freezing temperatures, but notes that this means the vehicles fail to conform with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114: Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. Honda will notify owners of the problem, and dealerships will install an updated interlocking mechanism free of charge.
Acura puts on display of mechanical horsepower in new ad
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Originally forged with a brand identity based on luxury, sportiness and practicality, Acura has spent the last decade or so struggling with its image. The sporting credibility suffered a mighty blow with the loss of cars like the Integra, RSX and NSX, and recent years have seen the Japanese company attempting to recast itself as a technology leader.
All of that makes this latest Acura commercial, Let The Race Begin, even more difficult to understand, metaphorically speaking. The horsepower-horse race 'theme' certainly isn't difficult to fathom, with mecca-equine versions of popular luxury brands filling the screen. But the choice to make Acura's filly a flesh-and-blood creation seems odd, for the high-tech theme. Acura as "thoroughbred apart from the rest of the field" seems to be the rough message here, though we're not sure we're buying it. We're also not sure we're comfortable with how much these ponies reminded us of a certain off-putting robotic dog...
Looks expensive, at any rate. Watch the robot ponies run for yourself, below.
Acura preps ILX for endurance racing challenge
Thu, 01 Nov 2012Acura has used the occasion of this year's SEMA show to unveil a 2013 ILX that is remarkably different from the road-going car that we are familiar with. A far distance from the rather mildly performing street car, this ILX Endurance Racer is actually prepped to race at the grueling 25 Hours of Thunderhill in Willows, California.
The ILX racers (Team Honda Research has prepped two of them for the race) have actually each been constructed using two donor ILX sedans: one body-in-white chassis and one full production-spec car that donates powertrain, interior and electronic components. Overall, increasing the performance of the car was done mostly through extensive weight reduction rather than bumps in power. No figures have been given for the output of the ILX's K24Z7 engine, though we are told that a custom intake and exhaust have been fitted, as well as a racing flywheel.
A prominent LED lighting system dominates the front fascia of the ILX, along with a huge front splitter, while a massive wing speaks to the intentions of the car.
