3.5L 300hp Acura engine that gets 32 mpg Highway!  It is officially rated at 24 hwy, but it gets much better than that.  It will do 32 mpg if at or below speed limit, but still do 28 mpg if going over limit.

Here is the long list of Convenience & Luxury options on this RL:

Navigation System, Voice Recognition (w/560 commands), Hands-Free Bluetooth, Bose 10-speaker DTS Surround DVD Audio System w/6-CD Changer & Subwoofer, AudioPilot System, Noise Cancellation, XM Satellite Radio w/Realtime Traffic (with balance of FREE prepaid XM subscription included), Steering Wheel Paddle Shifters, SlapShift Manual Option, Power Moonroof, Heated, Power & Perforated Leather Seats, 2 Driver Memory, VSA Traction Control, SH-AWD (distributes torque between left and right, front and rear to enable optimum traction and cornering prowess), Dual Climate Comfort Zones, A/C, Rear Defrost, Automatic HID Headlamps, AFS (adaptive front headlights for optimal vision when cornering/steering), One-Touch Up & Down Power Windows, Power Telescoping & Tilt Steering Wheel (automatically retracts when vehicle is shut off for ease of exiting & automatically returns to set memory position), Steering Wheel-mounted Audio/Bluetooth/Cruise/Info Center/Voice Recognition Controls, 3-button Universal Homelink Transmitter, Auto-dimming mirrors, Tripometer, D-T-E, Instant & Trip MPG, Variable Rain-Sensing Wipers, Inside Fuel & Trunk Release, Fold-out door storage, Remote One-touch Cool Window & Moonroof Ventilation, Remote-sensing Door locks (unlocks as you approach door handle as long as you have remote in pocket), Keyless Start (never have to fumble with fob for entry or starting the vehicle), Touch-sensors on passenger door handles (unlock and lock with touch), Side Mirror Turn Signal Indicators, TPMS - Tire Pressure Monitoring, OnStar Assistance, Power Rear Shade, Power Rear Center Headrest, Rear Side Window Shades, Tinted Windows, Solar Glass Windshield, DR/Pass/Rear/Side curtain Airbags, Entry Illumination, Rear Back-up Sensors, Adjustable Armrest/console, Rear Seating Console, Rear Pass-thru Trunk Access, Comfort Support Headrests, Map & Vanity Lighting, Woodgrain and Leather Steering Wheel, Woodgrain Dash & Door panel Accents, Brushed Aluminum accents, Burlwood Shifter Knob, (2) 12V Power Outlets, RL-Embossed FloorMats, Acura-embossed Door Sill Plates, Acura pinstripe, Chrome Side & Window Body Mouldings, Rear Trunk Lip Spoiler, Dual Stainless Exhaust, 17" Aluminum Alloy RL wheels, Michelin Primacy MXM4 245/50R17 tires..........

What more could you ask for? Luxury and engineering of the Acura brand with the reliability of Honda drivetrain.  Loaded.  Clean Southern car.  Affordable.....$ave thousands from dealer pricing and no $199, $249, $995 dealer doc/admin fees!  No tax/title fees.

This Acura RL was mainly used to travel from TX to FL on business and leisure.  It starts, idles & accelerates as new.  Shifts just as it should.  Rides like a dream on the highway with awesome passing power but still great gas mileage.  No cold weather starts and dealer serviced ensure this RL will go well beyond 300,000 mi!

The Redondo Red Pearl exterior is stunning - no fading from TX heat, but with the highway use, there is plenty of bug and stone chip wear on the front fascia and front part of hood.  Headlight covers are starting to haze over a bit from the heat/sun.  There are some very very soft dings on the top of fender (barely noticeable and would have to be pointed out unless looking for them), one light ding on trunk lid (not obtrusive).....however, ZERO 'parking lot' dings - straight and smooth as glass (see pic that goes down the side of the vehicle).  It is used, there are some misc small scratches here and there, nothing excessive.  The paint has a deep gloss and color retention (right down to the bottoms of doors and qtr panels) - only the front fascia has real wear as mentioned.  Never seen winter snow or salt (for those shopping from the NE/Midwest).

The interior of the RL is in excellent to mint condition.  There is a nick in one rear door panel and a nick or two in the seats, with some slight wear on DR seat bolster only.  These imperfections mentioned are very minor, but to the perfectionist is what would keep me from saying it is in mint/brand new condition.  The RL floor mats were very well maintained and look new, no stains in carpet or headliner.  NON-SMOKER vehicle - still smells new.

The tires have about 70% tread, brakes have about 3k mi on them.  Every single feature, option, light, function work perfectly - has no quirks.  The only thing that needs changed is the pass side fog lamp is out.  All original paperwork, Owner's Manuals & 2 orig Key Fobs!

Good luck in your search, but if you know Acuras & you like driving in luxury & convenience - your search is over....very affordable and a good investment as Acuras hold their value and will last a very long time!  This is an As-Is sale, there are no warranties included or available.  It is a used car, realists will enjoy the value, - people expecting new for 20% of the cost, will need to gather the other 80% & visit an Acura dealership.  Exporters welcome.  Will assist in shipping/transporting.  Email me your needs and any questions you may have.  Mileage will vary as it is still be driven daily until finding a happy new owner.

Thanks for looking!

Weekly Recap: Automakers rethink the definition of luxury

Sat, Jan 17 2015

Variety is the spice of life, but it's becoming a prerequisite for luxury carmakers in the ultra-competitive US market. The Detroit Auto Show was strong evidence of this reality. It's not enough to offer attractive and well-appointed cars and SUVs anymore. Luxury brands that want to be competitive need to invest in everything from high-powered supercars to clever hybrids. To be relevant, you need to be green and mean – and everything in between. As General Motors product chief Mark Reuss said after the reveal of the 640-horsepower Cadillac CTS-V: "We are not leaving anything on the table." He was speaking for Cadillac, but he might as well have been speaking for the luxury car market. The CTS-V debuted in Detroit about an hour after Lexus surprised showgoers with the reveal of the RC F GT3 race car and then announced ambitious plans to return to competitive racing. That almost overshadowed the fact Lexus had just revealed another potent addition to its growing F line, the 467-hp GS F. View 20 Photos But for luxury brands, it's not just about maximum horsepower for well-heeled enthusiasts or decadent amenities for the Grey Poupon set. Strong competition from all corners has forced automakers to refine and expand their lineups in ways unforeseen even a few years ago. Case in point: Mercedes-Benz finally has an answer to the BMW X6, rolling out the GLE coupe in Detroit. The X6, which blends coupe-like styling cues with some of the functionality of an SUV, debuted in 2008. Back then it was a punchline, but seven years and more than 260,000 sales later, the X6's success has compelled Benz to respond. Mercedes – one of the strongest proponents of diesel technology – also debuted the C350 plug-in hybrid sedan, which promises a range of 20 miles on electricity, though fuel economy figures were not announced. The car pairs Mercedes' well-received 208-hp turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor for total output of 275 hp and 443 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, Infiniti will add the Q30 hatchback to its lineup by the end of the year, new president Roland Kruger reiterated in Detroit. It's expected to be joined by a crossover variant, and the additions will help strengthen Infiniti in the United States and abroad. "While we're expanding our product line, we're also expanding our market reach," he said. That's something echoed by Jaguar executives, who are preparing to launch the brand's first crossover, the F-Pace, in 2016.

Acura Integra's racing hopes hinge on Honda

Sun, Nov 28 2021

The 2023 Integra has mostly failed to create the stir from long-time enthusiasts that Acura had hoped it would. However, all is not lost; Acura could perhaps regain some street cred if they took the Integra racing, like they did with the Integras of the 80s and 90s. Brand head Jon Ikeda wants to take the 'Teg to the track, but it all depends on whether the leadership at the American Honda mothership permits it. "We want to race this thing, but maybe the Honda PR and marketing guys might have different ideas," Ikeda told Road & Track. That's because the Integra is largely a 2022 Civic Si with a hatchback form factor and new sheetmetal. Honda already sells a Civic Type R race car in several tunes for various classes in the TC America touring car series. That was based on previous-generation Civic, but in all likelihood will continue the program with the latest gen. A racing Integra, then, would seem redundant. On the other hand, Acura has been highly active in motorsports, from 24 Hours of Daytona-winning IMSA DPi prototypes to NSX GT3 race cars to Pikes Peak hill-climbers. Even Honda's F1 cars were re-branded with Acura livery at last month's U.S. Grand Prix in Austin. And it's not like the Integra doesn't have a long history in motorsports. The nameplate as competed in various North American series from SCCA Pro Rally to IMSA sedan to the Import Drag Racing Championships. Perhaps the most well-known Acura Integras to race, though, were Peter Cunningham's white and neon orange RealTime Racing Type Rs that dominated the SpeedVision World Challenge championships around Y2K. Ikeda has said before that he wants Acura to be the performance brand of Honda, and a rumored Integra Type S is in the works with a more potent engine, possibly a version of the upcoming Civic Type R's mill. "We're the performance division of Honda," Ikeda emphasized to R&T, "So we're not going to shy away from Honda, you know? We're going to just have a little bit more fun." While an admirable goal, the brand will struggle if it's merely the performance arm of Honda. It has to be about performance cars, period. That was part of Acura's magic in the 90s; it offered products that, while sharing components with Honda, were distinct and had their own personalities. The Integra was Civic-based, but it had noticeably better handling, more power, and unique design.

MotorWeek remembers retro icons, Supra and NSX

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

It's easy to poke a joke here and there about John Davis, the long-time host of MotorWeek. His voice is so monotonous that, from time to time, if you closed your eyes, you may think it's generated via a computer. But you have to give him and the rest of the show a lot of credit. The program has been on the air for decades, giving people direct, straight-down-the middle automotive reviews.
MotorWeek's massive back catalog of reviews are slowly making their way onto YouTube, and they provide a fascinating chance to look back on how performance cars rank against their contemporaries from back in the day. Two recent additions include the show's old looks at the 1986 Toyota Supra, the dawn of the third-generation model, and the now-iconic 1991 Acura NSX.
Both reviews are interesting in their own way. These days you hear nary a negative word about the original NSX, but MotorWeek isn't afraid to point out a few flaws. And the Supra really shows the progress of suspension tuning in the intervening decades because it has some serious body roll in the corners. Scroll down to check out both videos and get a blast from the automotive past.
