1994 Acura Nsx 5 Spd Manual on 2040-cars
Colleyville, Texas, United States
Flawless condition inside and out. I am the 3rd owner. Always garaged
and kept under a cover since new. The PO said it had never seen rain by
him or the first owner and it shows. It has never seen rain while in my
possession either. Currently a touch over 85K on the clock, timing belt
was replaced around 65K miles and I have the receipt from the dealer.
Motor is completely stock with a Tai Tech cat back exhaust. Sounds great! Tein coil-over suspension, fully adjustable. After market steering wheel and I have the original in a box. Wheels are by Lumarai, 215/35ZR18 on the front and 265/35ZR18 on the rear. No spare. Black with tan leather. 5 spd manual. Stock Bose stereo with cassette! This thing is MINT. It looks perfect. It drives perfect. It's probably the most perfectly balanced car I have ever driven. It handles like a shifter cart. It's a blast to drive. People take pictures and shoot videos of it every time I get it out on the road. People that don't know what an NSX is think its brand new and can't believe its a 1994 model. Only reason for selling is that my garage is smaller than my obsessions. Title in hand. Serious inquiries only, no joy rides! If you are reading this you know how rare and collectible these cars are. I don't think there is a better example of an NSX anywhere. JT 817.371.3081 call or text |

Acura ILX Hybrid discontinued for 2015
Tue, 17 Jun 2014Earlier today, Acura issued a press release detailing its entry-level 2015 ILX range, but something was missing. Honda's luxury arm listed all of the information about the naturally aspirated 2.0-liter and 2.4-liter ILX models, but nothing was said about the Hybrid - a model that, when we reviewed it in 2013, left us utterly cold. But now we know why: Acura has confirmed to Autoblog that the ILX Hybrid will be discontinued for the 2015 model year.
The company issued the following statement to us regarding the hybrid's demise:
The 2015 ILX remains a standout choice in the entry premium segment with its combination of performance, luxury, refinement and value and is the top-selling luxury vehicle to younger buyers. Based on the stronger appeal of the ILX 2.0 and 2.4 models, we are streamlining the ILX lineup to better align with customer demand, Acura will no longer offer the ILX Hybrid starting with the 2015 model year.
Production Acura NSX spied getting sharper on the 'Ring
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Acura hasn't been shy about trotting out the concept version of its upcoming NSX hybrid supercar - we've seen it colorized on Facebook, wearing Super GT drag and running wrapped at Mid Ohio - but until now, we've missed seeing the production version at all. Thankfully, our boys in the field have been diligently camped out by the Nürburgring, just the place for Acura engineers to get the NSX shaken down and ready for the public.
The first thing you'll likely notice (and no doubt appreciate) is that Acura is staying very true to the concept car. The same wind-tunnel-carved wedge shape is in evidence in the car's silhouette, and details like aggressively scalloped engine vents behind the cabin have made it through unscathed.
We do notice that there are some vertical elements at the bottom of the front fascia/grille that appear to be revised, and the mirrors are considerably less slinky than those of the concept car. Still, by and large, we're seeing a direct translation from show stand to real life here.
2014 Acura MDX ad campaign the most expensive in brand's history
Mon, 24 Jun 2013Realizing that it must spend more marketing dollars to compete with the more established luxury automakers, Acura is preparing to launch its most expensive ad campaign ever for its redesigned 2014 MDX. At $78 million, according to Advertising Age, the new "Made for Mankind" campaign that kicks off next month is exactly double what Acura spent on the 2013 RDX launch last year. It's also the brand's first cooperation with its new agency, Boston- and Los-Angeles-based Mullen Advertising. Thanks to its bigger budget, we'll be seeing ads for the MDX pop up just about everywhere from television commercials, cinemas and billboards to videos focused on computers and mobile devices.
The first such video is entitled "Human Race," and it enunciates Acura's recent tagline highlight, the synergy between man and machine. More interestingly, the 2014 MDX, which went on sale this month, doesn't make an appearance in the 60-second spot until close to the end. This video is posted below as well as a press release from Acura along with images of various ads we should start soon.
