Acura Integra Prototype will be revealed next Thursday, Nov. 11

The Acura Integra Prototype’s world reveal is officially set for next week on Thursday, Nov. 11. Those who are impatiently waiting to see the car can finally mark a time on their calendars, as itÂ’s coming to you via a livestream event at 8:35 p.m. ET (5:35 p.m. PT) that day. The reveal is taking place in Los Angeles, the week before the L.A. Auto Show begins. Do note that Acura specified that this is the reveal for the Integra “Prototype,” not the final production car. If history is any indication, though, this Integra Prototype will closely resemble the production car in both exterior and interior design. Plus, thereÂ’s a chance Acura reveals a number of vital specs in addition to the design. Ever since Acura announced the return of the Integra name at this yearÂ’s Monterey Car Week, itÂ’s been teasing us with small bits of info. The first hint came that same day with a photo of the carÂ’s headlight and “Integra” stamped into the bumper. Then came a photo from the rear three-quarter, revealing that it would be a four-door hatchback. Finally, Acura emphatically announced (with a sweet shift-banging video) that the Integra would offer a six-speed manual transmission. Hurrah! Next Thursday will see the reveal of much, much more, so make sure you tune in to see everything Acura has to show. First 2022 Acura NSX Type S sells for over $1 million

In the same week that the 2022 Acura NSX Type S was revealed, the very first build slot was sold by Mecum at the company's auction in Monterey, Calif. Rights to the first one off the line went for $1.1 million. Compared to the base price of $171,495, that's a pretty huge markup. And adding the $13,000 lightweight package, should the owner choose to do so, doesn't close the gap much. But the right to say you have the first can go a long way. There was also the fact that the car was auctioned for charity. Proceeds will go to send STEM education activity kits put together by COSI, the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus, Ohio. It's a fitting charity considering the high-tech nature of the car and the fact that it's built in Marysville, Ohio, not too far from Columbus. And as a quick refresher, the NSX Type S is the most powerful NSX ever created, making 600 horsepower and 492 pound-feet of torque. It has revised styling, too, and only 350 will be built for the world. Related video:

2024 Acura ZDX caught in spy photos

We've got our first look at the 2024 Acura ZDX electric luxury SUV. And as we expected, it's not following in the funky coupe-like tire tracks of its namesake. Instead, it's clearly based on the recently shown Acura Precision EV concept, albeit clearly toned down. The overall profile is pretty conventional, with a relatively upright rear hatchback. But the ZDX does still look fairly sleek with its low roof and quite long nose. And on the topic of that roof, it has the partial floating design previewed on the Precision. The ZDX's nose looks much more blunt compared to the Precision EV, which we don't think is a bad thing, as the Precision was a bit beak-y. And at the back, the rear fenders look more pronounced and the window-sill area is also pushed out further. Again, these don't seem like bad changes to us. Like the Honda Prologue, the ZDX will be based on a GM Ultium platform, likely the version underpinning the Chevy Blazer and Cadillac Lyriq. There's a wide array of motor configurations that could be offered on the ZDX. Since there will be a Type S version, we could see that one getting the Blazer EV SS's 557-horsepower dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain. It's hard to say if other versions will be all-wheel-drive-only, or have rear-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive versions, since all are possible. We should know more when the SUV makes its debut in 2024. Related video:
