I'm selling my Milano Red 1991 Acura Legend coupe, this is a great car and it has a lot of new parts and repairs made on it over the years. (The most recent repairs/parts from last summer at the bottom) It's an automatic, quiet, and fast just like the Legends. The only problem is the fuel pump needs to be replaced, its not a difficult procedure with this car, the fuel pump is accessible behind the back bench seat in the trunk with just everyday tools and the switch is merely unplug, plug, and play. I've already purchased the fuel pump, some fuel system cleaner, and some spark plugs/tools for them, I just don't have time to replace it since I'm in school (also I live in a frat and I don't need anybody lighting cigs around my car while I'm working on the fuel pump) the car has some rust (of course) but its still a great looking car. It stopped running about 2 months ago because of the fuel pump and the battery just died. The windows are tinted and it has about 250,000 miles. The engine is almost 10 years old, the old V6 was replaced with a newer 3.2L V6 in the early 2000s. It was passed from my fathers cousin, to my father, and then to me. It's a rare car and I get endless compliments all around. I wanted to keep the car but I need the money and I can't afford my own insurance. It won't turn over completely until the fuel pump is replaced (and replacing the spark plugs will do it good too), so you'll need a tow unless you have a hour or two to change the fuel pump in my driveway, but this car is worth it. I have more pics of the car on hand and ready to text/email.
Any questions, contact me Mike (216) 278-2610 Recent Repairs/Parts: 2 new upper/lower control arms 2 new stabilizer links 2 new lower ball joints New left drive axel 2 new front outer tie rods New radiator 2 new (working cooperatively without fail) rear brake lines |

Acura recalling 76,000 TSX sedans in certain cold-weather states
Sun, 24 Mar 2013Parent company Honda is issuing a recall for Acura TSX vehicles from model years 2004 to 2008, for a rather interesting fault with the electrical systems (well, kind of). It seems that TSX made between during that range have carpeting that degrades when it becomes saturated with "corrosive materials for deicing." The carpeting is in contact with each Acura's electronic control unit, which may in turn rust or become corroded as a result. All of that business could cause the engine to stall.
Acura is singling out cars registered in states that use these corrosive deicing materials (presumably road salt): Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by Honda and instructed to bring their cars into the nearest Acura dealership. Dealers will inspect the ECU for damage, replace if needed, and cover with a waterproof piece; all free of charge. Check out the official recall notice below.
Acura ILX headed for Civic-like early upgrades
Wed, 12 Dec 2012The not-yet-ready-for-primetime 2012 Honda Civic saw it quickly returned to sender for refurbishment, now the Acura ILX is headed in the same direction in its very first year. Automotive News reports that the small, Civic-based sedan from Honda's luxury brand isn't meeting sales expectations, with an annualized rate of 22,000 to 24,000 sales instead of the 30,000 the company is after. More telling is that the ILX "is being outsold by the Buick Verano, Volkswagen CC and Audi A4," and, except for two months since it launched, it has also been outdone by the Acura TSX it is meant to replace.
Part of the cause has been the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine: its 150 horsepower to motivate a sedan that can weigh up to 2,970 pounds doesn't offer the kind of performance or value experience that buyers in the segment respond to. Another big issue is that the top-level 2.4-liter engine is only offered with a six-speed manual even though most buyers of the highest trim don't really want to shift their own gears. Lastly, the ILX might not put enough space between it and its frugal underpinnings - our first drive review pegged it as "the world's nicest Honda Civic."
An automatic transmission is on the way for the 2.4-liter, but it isn't clear when. And while Honda admits that the 2.0-liter is underpowered and Automotive News says it's on the way out, the company hasn't yet said how that situation will be corrected.
Honda to present HR-V, updated Acura ILX at LA show
Mon, 20 Oct 2014Honda has already showcased its new Fit-based crossover around the world. We've seen it in Tokyo wearing the Vezel name and we've seen it in Paris in 'prototype' form. We've even seen photos of the US-spec version. We just haven't seen that North American model in the flesh, but that'll all be fixed next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
That's where Honda will, at long last, unveil the US version of its new HR-V subcompact. The Japanese automaker hasn't told us much else, save to say that the HR-V will, of course, slot in below the CR-V in US showrooms. It'll also feature the company's lauded Magic Seat system, "which allows for multiple seating configurations and the ability to fold the second row seat completely flat for added cargo space."
Alongside the HR-V, Honda's luxury division will also be showcasing a revised version of its ILX sedan at the LA show as well. Acura hasn't revealed precise details of what revisions are in store for its smallest sedan - or a more detailed photo than the teaser inset at right - but it is promising "a comprehensive update that include a potent new powertrain, more forceful, sporty exterior styling and a substantially upgraded interior design."
