I purchased this car in August 2009 out of Falls Church, VA. I have all service records since then. I also have a carfax from 2009 showing what work was done prior to my ownership. It has been my second car for the last two years or so. I've only driven it about 650 miles in the last year. It's time for someone else to enjoy who will drive it more. As the pictures show, this car is in excellent condition. The pictures also show a few imperfections consistent with the age of the car. The factory color is melbourne blue. All electronics work on the car with the exception of the defroster light for the side view mirrors. The bose system works as I had the amps repaired back in Sept. 2009 by Willman's Electronics out of TX. I have receipt. The tape deck and radio function, as well as the radio antenna which was replaced with oem part a few years ago. Rear brake pads replaced at 86,013 miles. Front brake pads replaced at 87,044. This Legend has a clear Georgia title and passed emissions last month here in Georgia. The check engine comes on intermittently (about every fifth drive) after driving for a mile or so. I would recommend changing spark plugs and wires and getting a tune up. I have receipt showing spark plugs were changed at 60,000. Cart starts up fine every time.
As the pictures also show, the blue leather is in good shape. There are no tears. It does crease in certain places mostly on the front seats. The leather in the back is in great shape due to non-use. I conditioned leather a few times per year. The center console armrest opens and closes and is not broken; unlike so many first generation Legends. The driver side armrest console is broken but sits mostly flush and operates due to home repair. Comes with original key and second oem spare key.
Air conditioning does not blow cold air currently. For the past two years I've had R12 added by an A/C shop to charge the system. There is a small leak and so the charge lasts about 10-11 months. I will have it charged again before auction is over. Heat works fine.
In my opinion, this is one of the nicer Legends out there. By no means is it perfect. However, I've been looking at ebay for the last few years to see what Legends are out there for sale. I don't recall seeing a nicer Legend sedan or one with less miles. Only a few Legend coupes I've seen are cleaner and have less miles. Pick up is in Marietta, Georgia. Driving this Legend home should be no problem. The cruise control works.

Acura's MDX SEMA concept took the wrong parts from the NSX GT3
Thu, Oct 27 2016When it comes to SEMA show cars, the more absurd the better, such as with the 1,040-horsepower Bisimoto Hyundai Santa Fe. That's not the case with Acura's custom MDX. This crossover was designed to match the NSX GT3 racecar, and gets a custom trailer to tow it. However, instead of doing something awesome like dropping in the NSX's twin-turbo V6, Acura decided the defining characteristics of the race car were the paint, splitter, and wing. So that's what the MDX and trailer got. In addition to a matching white paint scheme with orange and black accents, the SUV wears a massive front splitter that looks like a shelf stuck close to the ground. It's the only aero modification on the vehicle, and it just looks silly, what with the massive gap between the base of the bumper and the splitter itself. There aren't any performance modifications on this SUV either, except the lowered suspension, so the only thing the splitter is likely to do is break off on the first mildly steep driveway it comes across. To complement the MDX's dubious aero aid, the custom trailer gets a "wing" at the back. Actually, it looks like Acura slapped some endplates on the back to give it a wing look. The trailer also gets running boards that extend the splitter along the side. Maybe it all works together to keep the trailering rig planted. But probably not. If Acura wants suggestions for next time, we suggest a mid-engined MDX, or perhaps one with a wild hybrid system. We'll call this a missed opportunity. Honda recalling 871,000 SUVs and minivans over rollaway fear
Wed, 12 Dec 2012Honda is recalling 871,000 SUVs and minivans for an issue in which the vehicles may roll away after the key has been removed from the ignition. Ninety-two percent of the recalled vehicles, or 807,000 vehicles, are in the US. According to a report from Reuters, the effected vehicles include certain numbers of the Honda Odyssey and Pilot, as well as the Acura MDX. Here are the recall figures:
2003-2004 Honda Odyssey: 318,000 vehicles
2003-2004 Honda Pilot: 259,000 vehicles
Honda, Acura recall Ridgeline, Accord, MDX, TLX for various fuel pump issues
Fri, Feb 15 2019Honda and Acura have issued two separate fuel pump-related recalls for Ridgeline pickups, as well as Accord and TLX sedans, and MDX SUVs. Affected Ridgelines could have an increased risk of fire, while the Accord, TLX, and MDX could potentially stall out while driving. According to NHTSA campaign No. 19V053000, Honda is recalling 106,683 2017-2019 Ridgelines because the fuel pump feed port could crack when exposed to certain acids, including car wash soaps. If it cracks, it could leak pressurized fuel, which could catch fire. Vehicles with this defect are subject to a free fuel pump replacement, as well as an extra fuel pump cover. The second recall, campaign No. 19V060000, affects 437,032 2016-2018 MDX, 2015-2019 TLX, and 2015-2017 Accord models equipped with 3.5-liter V6 engines. According to Honda, fuel particulates could stick to internal components of the fuel pump. This could potentially slow down the fuel pump and hinder performance, which could cause the engine to sputter and stall. Honda dealers will update the fuel injection engine control unit software and/or replace the fuel pump, if needed. If you want to know if your vehicle is included in one of these recalls, contact your Honda or Acura dealer, call the NHTSA hotline at 1-888-327-4236, or visit safecar.gov.
