1998 Acura Integra Ls Sedan 4-door 1.8l - Turbocharged on 2040-cars
Columbus, Indiana, United States
First off, I'm relisting this because the previous winner never paid and never responded to any emails. Now that the unpaid item claim has been resolved, I can relist it again. Second, I'm now blocking people from bidding if they don't have a Paypal account, have a history of not paying for items, and/or have received policy violation reports. I don't like to exclude people but after the antics that went on during the first auction I really don't have a choice. Third, please don't email me and ask me if I'll end the auction early or what my bottom dollar is. I'm not going to end the auction early and I'm not interested in selling it outside of Ebay. Other than that, happy bidding. Please email me if you have any questions.
This is exactly the same auction as it was last time. I haven't changed anything. The reserve is still at $1800. ========================================== 1998 Acura Integra LS Manual transmission, T3/T4 turbo, power steering/air conditioning still intact Headlights: Retrofit Acura TSX HIDs Suspension: Koni Yellow shocks, Integra Type-R springs Drivetrain: Upgraded clutch + pressure plate, new crank pulley + belts Intake/fuel system: Blow off valve, intercooler, DSM blue-top injectors (450 cc) Exhaust system: Blox style log exhaust manifold, T3/T4 turbo, TIAL wastegate, turbo blanket + header wrap, Thermal X" exhaust, high flow catalytic converter Cooling system: New radiator + Mishimoto cooling fans Interior: Pillar mounted oil pressure and boost/vacuum gauge, CD/MP3 player with aux-in Brakes: Stock, new right-rear brake caliper ECU: New chipped P07 ECU Other: Python security system, Drag wheels (15" 4x100) Issues: -There's a bit of rust at the top of the windshield. -There are several small spots on the passenger side of the car where the paint has bubbled up/rusted. The previous owner bought it that way but thought it was the result of a brake fluid spill when the car was at the mechanic early in its life. -The e-brake doesn't work. The left side cable works but the right side cable is binding up somewhere. -The air conditioning doesn't work although I think it can easily be fixed. One of the lines has a hole in it. I replaced another line that had a small hole in it and then discovered another hole when I went to have the system charged. -The car will need four new tires. I didn't want to put on new tires before selling it because I figured that the new owner will be able to better decide what tires they want. -A few dings, scratches, etc. that you'll find on any 15 year old car. -There's an exhaust leak somewhere. I think it might be coming from the flex section on the downpipe. The car is being sold AS-IS. I have described the current condition of the car to the best of my knowledge. However, it's up the buyer to research the vehicle and address any concerns prior to bidding. No refunds outside of Ebay's policies. Please bid carefully! Please email me if you have any questions. No shipment or shipping arrangements provided; arrangement of shipment and delivery are entirely the responsibility of the winning bidder! |

Massive Airbag Recall Affects Seven Automakers
Mon, Jun 23 2014The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a role in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time. BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall. Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the NHTSA found that moisture played a roll in determining if there would be a problem. Ford is recalling an estimated 58,669 cars that include the 2005-2006 model years of the Ford GT for the driver and passenger inflators, the 2007-2007 model years of the Mustang for the driver side and 2004 Ranger for the passenger side. It covers vehicles originally sold or currently registered in, wait for it... Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands. Honda is issuing three separate recalls regarding the problem. First, the company is recalling the 2002-2003 model years Civic, CR-V and Odyssey and the 2003 model year of the Accord, Element, Pilot and Acura MDX to replace the passenger's side inflator. This covers all models nationwide. Second, Honda is repairing the passenger's side airbag inflator in the 2003-2005 Accord, Civic, CR-V, Element, Pilot, the 2003-2004 model year versions of the Odyssey, the 2003-2005 model year Acura MDX and 2005 Acura RL. However, only for vehicles located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Owners will be notified in July. Finally, Honda is separately replacing some models' driver's side inflators.
2015 Acura TLX launch delayed
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Last week in New York, Acura pulled the wraps off its all-new TLX sedan - a midsize model that replaces both the TSX and TL in one fell swoop. In a bit of behind-the-scenes full disclosure, we were originally scheduled to get our first drive of the car in early May. But an intrepid reader forwarded us an email to Acura dealers saying that the on-sale date of the TLX will be pushed back, and subsequently, the automaker confirmed to Autoblog that the official media launch has been postponed, as well. Acura spokesperson Chuck Schifsky tells us that the 2015 TLX will now go on sale later this summer.
"We don't view it as a major delay," Schifsky told Autoblog. The TLX is "the most technologically advanced Acura" yet - even more so than the original NSX, Schifsky says - and thus, there are "lots of systems to get sorted out." When asked if there is a specific component to point to regarding this delay, Schifsky told Autoblog that it's "not any one thing."
"We have determined that it is necessary to modify the production schedule for the 2015 TLX, which will move the on-sale date to late summer."
Acura announces 2021 TLX Type S on-sale date and approximate price
Thu, Mar 18 2021Acura is clearing up a few nagging questions we had about the 2021 TLX Type S today. The company’s latest announcement spells out both the starting price and a precise on-sale date. YouÂ’ll be able to drive a 2021 Acura TLX Type S home in May this year, and pricing starts “in the low $50,000s.” We wish Acura could be a little more specific on exact pricing, but apparently itÂ’s not ready to divulge that information yet. Regardless, this price point makes perfect sense when you consider that the regular TLX with its 2.0-liter turbo can be optioned up to about $50,000. ItÂ’s likely going to come in under the BMW M340iÂ’s price (starts at $55,695). On the other hand, the Audi S4 will most likely undercut the Type S with its $50,945 base price. Do keep in mind that both the BMW and Audi will likely need a heavy hand in the options list to equal the AcuraÂ’s equipment, just as the non-performance models require. As a reminder, the TLX Type S is getting a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 that spits out 355 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque to the standard SH-AWD system. The 10-speed automatic is “sport-tuned,” and the car has a new Sport+ driving mode that isnÂ’t on the regular TLX that notches everything up to another level of aggressiveness. You can get NSX-inspired lightweight wheels that hide big Brembo brakes and can be wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero summer tires. The Tiger Eye Pearl exterior paint pictured here is a Type S-exclusive paint option, too. WeÂ’ll be looking forward to May this year, when we'll finally get behind the wheel of the Type S, which is the first Type S weÂ’ve seen in America for 13 years. Related video:
