I have for sale my 1998 Acura Integra.  It is located in west TN.  I will run through the good and bad.  Vehicle is sold As-Is, Where-Is with no warranties implied or available.

There is no current lien on the vehicle.  Clean title in hand.

CAR IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION.

Good:
Solid car with no rust.
Interior is in good shaped.
Rear seat looks like no one has sat in it.
No tears in the seat covers.
Dash is intact with no tears or splits.
A/C works, it is a little weak, but a can of Freon last year, cold a/c all summer.  It is cool right now and dries the air as it should but could use a charge.
Newer wheels and tires.  maybe 10k miles on the set.  Ordered from Tirerack.  No scrapes on any.
Blue-tooth Kenwood radio installed at Best Buy.  2 Alpine speakers installed at the same time. Not a bumping system, but it worked great for commuting and making phone calls.
Repainted from red to red at some point, by what seems like a MACCO job.  Not terrible, but decent.
Sunroof opens and closes as it should.  May need re lubed.  Seals with no leaks.

New Parts:
Distributor assembly replaced... Was having an issue, just got it back from the shop and it is running fine.
Wheels/Tires
Radio-- Bluetooth Kenwood.
Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter

The bad:
Previous owner "fixed" the catalytic converter error by cutting the cats out of the car and running the tubes straight through.
Transmission solenoid error currently lit-- Still shifts fine, solenoid may need replaced to get the light off.
Power antenna does not go up and down.  Motor is in place and works, I have it disconnected because I ordered the wrong replacement antenna.  Radio picks up fine, so I never readdressed the issue.
As you can see in the pictures, the center air vents are cracked.  A few of the other air vents were painter red, then back to black.  Hard to notice, but full disclosure.
Of course check engine light is on for transmission solenoid and lack of catalytic converter.
It is a 26 year old car and has nick and dings around the body.  Nothing major.  Bumps and bruises.

That is the gist of the car.  I bought from a dad who let his daughter run it into rough shape.  I spent quite a bit of time and money to get it reliable, and make it a comfortable commuter.  If I didn't have to travel across states, I would be keeping the car, but now it just takes up space in my driveway.

Any questions, please ask.  Buyer is responsible for shipping.  Car can stay parked on my property while shipping arrangements are made for up to 15 days.

Again, SOld as-is wher-is.

2015 Acura TLX is all too familiar, despite its new tricks [w/videos]

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

I'm confident in saying that the 2015 Acura TLX, revealed today at the New York Auto Show, will be a perfectly nice car to drive. It'll be nice to sit in, with plenty of luxurious amenities. It'll be... fine. And for Acura, "fine" is apparently good enough.
I say that because while the TLX is an all-new offering (it replaces both the TL and TSX), it hardly shakes up the Acura formula we've come to accept over the past few years. It looks like everything else in the automaker's lineup, complete with the neat LED headlamps and signature beaked grille. Power comes from either a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated inline-four with 206 horsepower, or a 3.5-liter V6 with 290 hp - engines we've tested in countless other Honda/Acura products. The front-wheel-drive version uses the Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS) from the RLX, and high-end V6 models use the Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) that we've enjoyed across the rest of the Acura range. Really, there's nothing to write home about here, except maybe, how that power is sent to the wheels.
Acura is finally - finally - moving beyond the world of the six-speed transmission, offering a new eight-speed, dual-clutch gearbox with the 2.4-liter engine, and a swanky new nine-speed automatic with the 3.5-liter V6. This is arguably the biggest news surrounding the TLX, though do note, fuel economy hasn't vastly been improved in the process. The TLX 2.4 musters up 24 miles per gallon in the city and 35 mpg highway, while the front-drive V6 is rated at 21/34 mpg. Optioning for the V6 SH-AWD reduces things to 21/31 mpg.

Honda trademarks 'CDX' nameplate

Wed, Feb 18 2015

Less than two weeks ago, we discussed the possibility of an Acura-badged version of the sure-to-be popular Honda HR-V. Now, Acura has gone ahead and registered a new trademark that fits in perfectly with its two other crossovers, the RDX and MDX. Our friends at Auto Guide report the company has reserved the name "CDX" with the US Patent and Trademark Office, with the trademark covering "automobiles and their structural parts." While it's true that these kinds of trademarks are filed regularly, the timing in this case is indicative of something more than simply covering bases. After all, it seems very, very unlikely that we'd have comments from Acura on a premium version of the HR-V on February 5 and a trademark filing for a name that fits the brand's CUV nomenclature less than two weeks later, only for it to not go ahead and build an actual vehicle. Adding to that logic is the simple fact that the compact CUV market, both on the premium and mainstream level, is arguably the hottest in the auto industry right now, and it seems like a virtual guarantee that we'll see an HR-V wearing the Acura CDX name in the not-so-distant future. Should that come to pass, look for the CDX to challenge the near-premium Buick Encore, as well as a potential compact CUV from Infiniti. These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

Let's say you just got a big promotion at work or the kids are moving out of the house, and you finally have some extra money. You decide to blow it all at once and treat yourself by upgrading your ride. Naturally, you look to a luxury automaker. What do you choose?
Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
