I've got a super clean and super reliable Acura 2.3CL coupe for sale.  I'm the third owner, first owner was an elderly lady, second owner was my father he purchased the car with 26k in 2006.  I have every service record from the original owner who took it to the dealer for every service.  When I took over ownership I performed all the oil changes myself but its major service has records.  I even have the original window sticker!! (Sold for $25k in 1999)

It's Taffeta white exterior with tan leather interior.  It's a rare 5 speed manual transmission. The manual is much preferred over the automatic transmission because all the CL automatic transmissions were known to fail before even reaching 100k.

The 2.3L SOHC engine runs like a top doesn't leak, drip or burn a drop.  The dealer sticker says 24 MPG in the city 31 on the highway but I've gotten 36 on the highway on long distance trips.

The car is in amazing shape and gets compliments all the time on how clean it is.  Most people think it's a much newer car.

Here's a rundown of what the car was equipped with from the factory:
-Leather interior with power driver seat (rear seats have been sat in maybe 4 times ever)
-Automatic Climate Control system
-Moonroof
-Spoiler ($795 dealer option)
-Acura Wheel locks ($79 dealer option)
-Splash Guards ($159 dealer option)
-Cassette player ($300 dealer option)
-Trunk mat & Cargo net ($195 dealer option)
-Hand pin-striping ($249 dealer option)

The car is up to date on service and I took meticulous care of it (ask some previous girlfriends and they'll say the car got more attention than they did).
-Timing belt and water pump service was done 4k miles ago
-At the same time, all 4 rotors were replaced with drilled and slotted rotors, new brake pads, and stainless steel brake lines
-Transmission fluid flushed and changed with Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil
-Spark plugs changed
-Newer tires (10k on them if that) They are Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires ultra-high performance all-season tires ($120 each)
-The steering rack was leaking when my father first purchased the car so that was replaced as well.
-Driver side window motor was replaced as well
-New battery last year

The car has had the following modifications done:
(NOTE: I have ALL stock parts and they will come with the car so you can revert the car to stock if you so choose)
-Kaixen HIDs (white color)
-Tein Basic coilovers.  Fully adjustable amazing coilovers.  Car is lowered but is still functional (I have speed bumps in my job's parking lot and I don't want to worry about scraping so it's a conservative drop)
-PSPEC Short Shifter (rare part is discontinued can't get it anywhere anymore)
-Weather-tech interior rubber mats (tan in color matches the interior)
-AEM Cold Air Intake
-DC Headers
-GReddy Evo2 cat-back exhaust (nice and deep sounding not ricey at all)
-Wings West front lip (professionally painted and mounted also a discontinued part that is very rare)
-Megan lower tie bar

The car has only one issue.  The ABS light is on (the drivers side rear ABS sensor needs to be replaced it's an $85 part from Rockauto. com)  Its been on for a while I just never got around to taking care of it.  The exterior is 9/10 and the interior is a definite 10/10.  The only issues with the exterior is a small chip on the rear bumper from someone backing into my bumper in a parking lot (it's the size of a dime I'll show it in a picture)  and there is a small rust bubble on the rear driver wheel well (this is smaller than a dime)  it's really small most wouldn't notice it but I'm very particular about my cars.  Lastly, some scumbag hoodlum stole the Acura emblem off the trunk of the car.  It's a $5 part at the dealer.

The only reason for selling is I have 3 cars and I don't have time to enjoy all of them.  Plus, I'm downsizing so I can get money for down payment for a house.  The car is located in Milford, CT and can be seen most days of the week.  I will help arrange shipping and will deliver the car within 30 miles for free.  Contact me here on eBay or text my cell phone (2o3) 8o3-3613.  Serious inquiries only, no tire kickers or joy riders.  Deposit of $500 due within 24 hours of winning.

Photos will come tomorrow.

1997 Acura Integra Type R sells for $82,000 on Bring a Trailer

Mon, Sep 30 2019

Acura Integra Type R prices are getting ridiculous. The car is absolutely superb, but the latest one to sell on Bring a Trailer went for a cool $82,000. You could likely pick up two old Acura NSXs in average condition for a similar price as the single Integra Type R. But hey, nobody ever said the value of cars made sense. Why did this particular Type R reach unrivaled heights then? A few factors are obvious. It’s a one-owner, 6,000-mile, completely original 1997 ITR (what the cool kids call the Integra Type R for short). WeÂ’re still rather flabbergasted and slightly upset the original buyer only managed 6,000 miles over the approximately 22 years of ownership, but the new owner could fix that quickly. Then again, this could be a purely speculative buy, aiding heavily in the final gavel price. Wait a few months to a year, and the value of this unmolested Type R could increase another $10,000, or more if you donÂ’t add miles. It was only a year ago to date that we wrote in near-shock about a Type R with even fewer miles (1,200) going for $63,800 at Barrett-Jackson. This car blows that previous record straight out of the water. As of now, thereÂ’s no end in sight to the increasing prices of these now-slightly-old hot Hondas. Another clean Acura Integra Type R is listed on Bring a Trailer right now, and the bid is already up to $34,567 with four days left. That car has 19,000 miles on it, and is reportedly being offered by the carÂ’s second owner, who bought it two years ago. A Honda CRX Si recently went for $33,600 on the same website. The NSXÂ’s value jump hit hard a few years ago, but now its successors are following in its footsteps again. Will there come a day when an Integra Type R hits the six-digit mark? At this rate it doesnÂ’t look far away. If you want a whole lot of what the Type R offers, without the eye-watering markup, take a long, hard look at the Integra GS-R. That trim is a great step up in performance over a base Integra, and a few easy mods gets it close to the Type R from a performance standpoint. You wonÂ’t have the cache and bragging rights that come with the R, but you also wonÂ’t be afraid to put miles on it for fear of entirely ruining the carÂ’s value. Happy Honda hunting.

2021 Acura TLX Review | Back to the future

Thu, Dec 3 2020

The best-selling luxury car used to be an Acura. The brand's combination of reliability, quality, design and driving dynamics clearly resonated with buyers. In the past decade-plus, however, those last two elements stopped resonating, while the Acura brand subsequently lost its luxury luster. Simply put, the 2021 Acura TLX is intended to turn things around. Its look is bold and athletic in a way not seen since the best-selling TL of the 2000s, while its long-hood/short-deck proportions are like no Acura that's come before. Although they're usually indicative of a rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan, the TLX remains based on a front-wheel-drive architecture with Acura's brilliant Super Handling All-Wheel Drive system. A return to a double-wishbone front suspension ensures truly charismatic handling. That architecture is also unique to Acura as opposed to being related to the Honda Accord. All of the above adds up to a new TLX that's a far more compelling and competitive luxury sedan. If you're considering a BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 or Mercedes-Benz C-Class, it's definitely worth expanding beyond the German borders and giving Acura a try. It's different to be sure, but different can be good, especially for driving enthusiasts who've seen some zest ooze out of the 3 Series in recent generations. Even its interior is suitably luxurious in quality and distinctive in appearance – it looks like nothing else out there and, importantly, doesn't give off the vibe of an Accord in dress pants. While we're not ready to declare it any sort of class leader, it's worthy of playing with the big boys. What's new for 2021? The TLX was completely redesigned for 2021. What's the TLX interior and in-car technology like? The TLX cabin has a modern, high-tech look that won't be confused with something in a European luxury sedan. Materials quality is excellent, while padded simulated leather on the dash and doors provides an undeniable air of luxury. There are style differences between trim levels as well, most notably the open pore wood trim and ambient lighting in the Advance (above left) and the A-Spec's sport gauges, unique aluminum trim and available red leather (above right). There's still some switchgear shared with Honda – particularly the annoying push-button shifter – but at least Honda makes some nice switchgear.  There are notable, Acura-only exceptions to that. First is the large silver knob prominently placed on the center stack that controls the car's driving modes.

Junkyard Gem: 1987 Acura Legend Sedan

Tue, Mar 31 2020

Honda beat Toyota and Nissan in the race to bring a luxury marque to North America, introducing us to the Acura brand for the 1986 model year. Acura shoppers could buy a luxed-up, more powerful Civic (the Integra) that year, while the real high-rollers went for a smooth-looking, V6-powered luxury sedan co-developed by Rover and Honda: the Legend. That was quite a leap for a company that had been selling tiny cars with two-cylinder motorcycle engines just 15 years earlier, but the 1973-1985 period had been spectacularly good times for Honda. The early Legend sold very well in California, and that's where I found this high-mile '87 a couple of months back. While the Legend had the same underlying chassis structure and engine family as the Rover 800 (known as the Sterling in North America), the Honda-grade build quality and non-Lucas electrical components of the Legend meant that it outlasted its Rover cousins by decades and hundreds of thousands of miles. This one didn't quite make it to 300,000 miles, but 281,032 miles blows away the readings I see on most 1980s junkyard cars not made by Mercedes-Benz. It's hard to imagine a prestigious luxury sedan with three pedals these days, but plenty of the early Legends were sold here with the five-speed manual transmission. Starting in the early 1990s, though, nearly all U.S.-market Legends had slushboxes (though the manual could be had all the way through the final Legends of 1995). Every Legend ever made came with a V6 engine. This car has a 2.5-liter DOHC rated at 151 horsepower, while the 1987 Legend coupe got a 2.7 making 161 horses. Other than the worn-out front seats, the interior in this car looked fairly decent when it arrived in its final parking space. Most super-high-mile cars I see in junkyards aren't very trashed-looking, presumably due to owners who took good care of them for decades (I do see the occasional exception to this rule, of course). The body shows no rust, as you'd expect in California, but the paint hasn't fared so well over its 33 years. It's the performance sedan making European automakers uncomfortable. Unlike many of the wild Japanese-market car ads of the 1980s, Honda pitched the JDM Legend in a most dignified manner.
