Best shop in town

Worth my drive , could not believe how much money I saved shopping for a new system here .All of the big companies like Kicker , Rockford Fosgate , Pioneer , Kenwwod all listed this store as the only authorized dealers around , I was surprised to find out that some other stores in the area are not legit !!!! !The more I looked the more I found out that Grand Audio and JJs` Autosound are the only factory authorzed d... view moreealers around . other stores in Waukegan listed the name brands and even had some product in thier stores , not authorized I found out . The factory said the have no idea how these other stores got the merchandise and no warranty would be given if bought through them . I got burned before , bought a bunch of stuff last year and the store went out of business a month later . I wanted to make sure to check out any store that I was gonna buy from in the future. This place has been around for over 20 years I found out . They have this huge selection , great walk in display room. Tons of boxes . You gotta just go there and find out for yourself .

Grand Audio:Avoid at all Costs!

Avoid these people like the plague! Made an appointment two weeks in advance to have my car stereo installed.They knew what make my vehicle was and the make and number of components to be installed.They gave me a price,which I could live with.I brought my car and components in at 11:00 AM.They called three hours later asking if they could move my car to the other store,because that installer was better (WHAT?).Okay I... view more said.They called at 6:00 that night to tell me I needed new door lock actuators.Turns out they hadn`t even started to install the alarm or the car stereo!The car was suppose to be done by six! In addition,they said the price would be $150 bucks more because of extra wire needed for the location of the amp ($150 bucks for wire?).They waited until six in the evening to tell me this! I told them at that point not to do anything.I immediately went and retrieved my vehicle.I`ve since found someone who installed everything for $124 cheaper than their original price!These people are either ripoffs or clueless,maybe both!
