We have been going to Phil for several years with all of our car care needs. He`s always been very honest and explains anything we have questions about. He even tells you if repairs are necessary at that time and ways to save money on the repairs. I recommend him to everyone. We wouldn`t want to take our vehicles any place else. He`s fixed radiators, alternators, brakes, starters, fuel injectors, anything you can think of on our vehicles, and he always gives a warranty on his work. Who does that anymore?

I Googled: "auto repair electrical" in Tacoma and one of the places that came up was Phil`s Auto Care Inc. I went straight there because of an emergency electrical repair needed to my truck. They were kind enough to get me in on that day on a moments notice. I had a parasitic draw(power drain) that had me stumped. The truck would not let the alternator charge the battery. Nevertheless, I needed a good quality experienced mechanic to be able to diagnose this. They had my truck fixed by that next morning. Why I would recommend them to a friend...because they did not gouge my wallet and were good at what they do. To top it all off I drove away and because I had a smaller battery in my truck that was supposed to be, and my cable had come loose on me from work that I had done on the truck just prior, I broke down on the freeway. This man(Mr. Phil) drove his personal car WITH a battery to rectify what I had caused. I called Phil`s Auto Care and he came over to my truck on the side of the freeway and fixed my car in 2 minutes flat. Hands down...Phil`s Auto Care is professional, courteous, and affordable.I will be a repeat customer. I am happy with my first service I received from them.

I have been going to Phil`s for a few years now. I have never had even the slightest suspicion of him overcharging me. In fact, he is great at fixing the problem thoroughly without trying to sell a bunch of stuff that isn`t really needed. I have been getting my car serviced at Phil`s Auto Care for a couple of years. Whenever the car needs something more than routine service, Phil has carefully explained what was needed and why in terms I could understand. The work has been done promptly and well. They are pretty neat people, fun to talk to and good to do business with.

The only thing I know about my...

The only thing I know about my vehicle is where the gas goes and where to take it when it`s gonna take more than gas to keep it running. I drive a 96 Mazda B-series with 190,000 miles on it, live in Tacoma, commute to Tukwilla (and back) 5-6 days a week, and the ONLY reason it`s made it this long is because of Phil and his team at Phil`s Auto Care. My first experience with them was when I thought I was going to have... view more to replace a fuel pump (yikes), but learned that a good mechanic will find that it`s simply a butterfly valve that`s sticking (and it does look a little like a butterfly). He could have made a lot more money with that visit - instead he earned a customer for life. Open and honest, they are good enough at what they do that they don`t have to be anything otherwise. Phil and crew have always treated me with sincerity, kindness and respect. More importantly, they have always been able to fix whatever has been wrong with my very high mileage vehicle quickly and correctly, and within my very limited budget. The thing runs better now than it did when I first brought it in several years ago! I`m not rich, and I don`t have a mechanical bone in my body, and in a time when I need my vehicle to last much longer than the factory warantee did, I`m glad that Phil`s Auto Care is there to keep me on the road.
