This is a Ripoff. and this bus...
This Place is a Ripoff. and this business will go bankrupt soon. Pros: tire smell if you like it. Cons: Bad Customer Service, misleadings, incompetent staff. They charged me 500$ for changing various stuff in the car`s rear which I dont remember now in order to reduce the sound that is coming from the Car`s Rear which I reported. the sound still existed. Later I went to tire ware house who checked my tires an... view mored they actually shown me what went wrong and I changed all of my tires right away and there was no sound at all at cheshire tire If you ask or try to say something they will start shouting at you....instead of being very polite with them..... they will make you feel very uncomfortable. this is the worst Place I`ve ever been to I wouldn`t suggest this to my enemy.

I have been doing business wit...
I have been doing business with Cheshire Tire for many years and the service for me has not changed since corporate buy out. They always treat me fairly and honestly. I have them do warranty service on my vehicle because it is consistently half the price or more. I would recommend them highly.

Deceitful shop
my Girlfriend brought her car down to get an inspection sticker, the mechanic failed her and handed her a bill for almost 1,100.00 and when some of the parts that had recently been replaced were on that list we thought it was kind of funny. so we brought it to a garage we trusted and didnt tell them what tire warehouse had said, simply to check it for the repairs needed to pass inspection. sure enough none of the par... view morets which had been replaced less than 10,000 miles ago had been on that list! when i called to make a complaint about them saying they were simply taking advantage of a young woman who didnt know what needed to be fixed in her car, i was simply told that they could show me and that all of my other exp. and garages information was wrong. I work and managa a business locally and i will tell you as a consumer to just not waste your time and go to leons in keene.

Given False Information
Monday afternoon I dropped my vehicle off at Cheshire because I had scheduled an appointment on Tuesday to have snow tires put on and my brake light was coming on. I had asked if my car could be ready between 3 and 4 pm on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday around 10 because I hadn`t heard re: the brake light diagnosis. I was told ""We`ve been trying to get in touch with you (I had been sitting at my desk all morning.) ... view more I was told my brake line needed to be flushed. I asked again to have the car ready between 3 and 4. I called back at 3:30. When I asked if I could come and get my car ~ I was told by ""Bill"" ""That shouldn`t be a problem"" (which means what?). I pressed further and said, ""Do I have your word that if I leave work right now the car will be ready when I get there."" He said yes. I got there 15 minutes later. My car was not even in the building and I was told the brake line had not even been worked on yet!!!!!! They said they would give me a ride back to work. I said I wanted my car - they began work on it immediately. The manager gave me excuses like, ""we are way too busy"", ""there were too many customers today with the same last name as yours - we got confused."" The place was chaos! The people behind the counter couldn`t even find my original paper work. How comfortable does that make me feel? I am sorry to say that after 12 years of using Cheshire Tire for my vehicle service needs I do not feel confident in their ability to keep me and my car safe! I will go elsewhere in Keene.

Not too impressed
Being a Senior at KSC, I have had the opportunity to work with Cheshire Tire for the past two years that I have been able to have my car on campus. So when it came time to register and inspect my car and I asked for opinions, naturally this establishment came up as a decently priced and nearby location for inspections. To be honest, I know next to NOTHING of cars. I know how to change assorted fluids, give an oi... view morel change, and change wiper blades. That`s it. So I was thrilled when I went to the front desk and the worker [who`s name I sadly forget] literally told me every single thing that he would inspect and what would need to be done. And when I asked about my squeaky breaks, he quickly eased my fears, saying they needn`t be replaced for about another 2,000 miles. However, my second time has not been as enjoyable. I went to get my car inspected for a second time, and I was shocked to discover that I needed to spend $300 that I didn`t have to get a speed sensor replaced on two tires. However, another man thankfully came and sat beside me, explaining once more, saying that if I ordered them that day [it was a Friday] that the part would be in on Sunday. I wasn`t able to order the part that day, however, because I needed to consult my parents about the purchase. When I placed the order on that following Monday, I was told that I would be called when the part arrived and could have it put in, which was said to be the next day or two. However, today is Saturday, and no matter how many times I`ve called and asked for information, I`ve been told that they would call me within a few minutes, or first thing the next morning with my answer. I`ve called every day, and have yet to get an answer! Is it so hard to get an answer about a part? You`d think that they`d be more willing to answer me when I am inquiring about when I can pay them money that I can`t afford. It`s almost 10am on Saturday, and you can certainly bet that I will be calling them within about a half an hour asking for answers, yet again. And this time, if I don`t get answers, I`m going to say I`ll look elsewhere for this part. This is getting ridiculous. While some of the workers are very helpful and obviously want to answer your questions, it`s insane that it has been almost a week since I ordered a part that I was told would only take a day to get in, and I still don`t have answers. I was supposed to go on a road trip today, and I`m actually thankful that it was cancelled because I don`t feel comfortable driving a car that hasn`t passed inspection yet. So, in all, if I could give a suggestion, go elsewhere. Currently, the cons outweigh the pros in my opinion. Yes. Elsewhere is good.

long waits
Been there twice, with an appointment both times. Waited over 3 hrs and watched people who came in after I did, come and go.

Second time was not much better.

I think the prices are good but not worth the wait

This place will try to screw y...
This place will try to screw you! They quoted me an outrageous amount for work that ended up not even being needed and refused to pass my vehicle until I fixed those things. I had to pay another place to fix the work that actually NEEDED to be fixed that they missed and had to pay again for an inspection at the other place. I would NEVER reccommend this place!

Deceptive (quasi-) advertising -- Beware
I`m tired of being lied to and nickle and dimed to death!

Advertisement that I received today: Oil Change $15.99

Neat I thought. After I put on my reading glasses, frankly I was disgusted. ""An additional $2.50 fee for `waste recycling or litter in most areas"" Hey Cheshire Tire, I`ll be happy to take 4 or 5 quarts of oil and the old filter for $1.50 each, ok? Nickle and dime and unreasonable fee!
... view more
Worse: ""9.99% additional to be added to the retail price of all service work."" Hey, what`s the retail price of Oil and filter change plus brake inspection plus 4 tire rotation? **No answer** Let`s say it`s $49, then the nickle and dime hidden (until I get two pairs of reading glasses) fee may be $4.99

Let`s add this up: $15.99 + $2.50 plus (I`m guessing: $4.99) = $23.48 or 32% more than you`d have me believe by looking at your card.

I`m not stupid and I do NOT appreciate what I perceive to be legal but deceptive practices. I don`t need an oil change, but I do need 4 new tires--but I won`t be going to any company that does this stuff. This sort of thing makes me doubt you in every way. Stop it.

Down the tubes
Been going to Cheshire Tire for the better part of 20 years -- some mechanical work, but mostly tires. I don`t have space to store my own, so they do it for me. But not any more.

Ever since they sold to Monro, they`ve gone consistently downhill. A few of the longterm holdovers still are good at customer service, but there`s one hefty, lazy, management dude in the bullpen behind the service desk who will igno... view morere a line of customers, chat with a friend endlessly while I`m waiting, then takes a phone call. He`s a load, and should find work elsewhere.

And now there are general screwups -- put somebody else`s tires on my car, made me wait two hours, then when I inquire, tell me the car`s been done for an hour and they forgot to let me know.

Plus, sitting in the waiting area among thousands of tires can be nauseating if you`re unaccustomed to the intense odor. Overall -- hooray for Messrs Slocum and Dutton -- hope the place doesn`t crumble under you. But I`m done!
