They don`t use clamps in their systems, only high quality welds! They even have the tooling to do ball flanges that are virtually leak proof (without gaskets). Their work is so good that several coach level custom builders and classic muscle car restorers (who build high end vehicles to sell at Barrett Jackson) use Chris`s Service Muffler Shop. Even better, their shop is Christian owned and operated so you know you can trust them. Personally, I prefer the sound and performance of my Classic Chambered 2.5" mufflers (available direct from www.classicchambered.com). They are aluminized, have a 2.5" flow path with chambers that create a suction on the exhaust valve for more power than a straight pipe and have no packing to wear out. They actually released 21 more rear wheel horsepower over my 2" glasspacks with no other changes! My next modification is headers and Chris highly recommended I use Doug`s Headers (www.originalheaders.com). Chris said he`s installed virtually every header and Doug`s was the best. Doug`s engineers go the extra mile with quality components and ensure proper design / engineering. FAST, HIGH QUALITY WORK AT GREAT PRICES: Their technicians don`t mess around...they are highly efficient. Even if they build custom systems from scratch, they are faster than any other custom exhaust shop I`ve ever used in over 20 years. I had them do a true 2.5" dual exhaust system with my 2.5" Classic Chambered mufflers on my 1976 Ford Gran Torino (Starsky & Hutch). They built the system from scratch using aluminized tubing and all welds (NO clamps). It fit perfectly with no rattles...just music to the ears! The quality was so good that the car show judges were amazed the very next day!
