All Star Service for Transmission Repair!

Outstanding no doubt! My unwarrantied SUV was initially taken to a local dealership who wanted to perform transmission repair on my auto and only offer a 90 day warranty. I was able to get my auto repaired by AAMCO for less, towed free from dealership, quick service turnaround, and obtained a longer warranty...18 months or 18,000 miles. Lesson learned here for sure...where to go and where not to go for honest transm... view moreission repairs. It seems those who can only offer a short warranty...can`t honestly stand by their work. AAMCO received my car late Tuesday...rebuilt my transmission and my auto was out by Saturday. Big thanks to Matt and crew for their great work. It`s great to know that AAMCO offers other auto repair services as well. I certainly will be back and send others your way. Again thanks.

aweful customer service and repair

My transmision broke in 2007, I went to Aamco because they specialized in Transmissions, they ""fixed"" my transmission and charged me $1900 for a re-build and gave me a 3 year warrenty. I got my car back and it just didn`t seem right, it was loud and i could feel it pulling when i drove it, I took the car back and they said there was nothing wrong, so a year goes by and my transmission goes out again completely, I ... view moretake it back to Aamco (3 year warrenty) and it seems whatever is wrong just so happens to not be covered in the warrenty. So I pay another $1900 and this time I only get a 12 month warrenty for a re-build and the car still drives like crap, Ive taken it back many times to have it checked and they keep it for over a week and give me my car back just the same, saying nothings wrong with it, although anyone can hear it and feel the pull. So I take my car and warrenty to another Aamco and show them my warrenties and they ask me why I paid the second time?!!! They said I should have never had to pay again because of the warrenty!!! So I call this San Antonio store which is now under new mangement, and I`m asking the manager why this happened, and all he does is talk over me and yell at me and makes me feel stupid.He tells me I paid for something but its not on the reciept, how can they charge you for something and not put it on the reciept? He offered to write it on my reciept!! Have you ever heard of something soo dumb!!?? I feel like I got taken advantage of and very poorly mistreated! Your better off to go to a little independant shop and get your car worked on there!! Dont shop AAMCO

good service

Thanks to Aamco I was back driving my car in 3 days after they repaired my transmission. There were no surprises. I would recommend them to my family and friends
