HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE. This place is a den of liars and thieves. Prepare to be robbed by these snakes. They try to up-sell and scare you into repairs you don`t need. This is one of those places that show up on 60 Minutes that everyone employed is in on the con game - any you are the one being conned. I took two cars in to be repaired and they screwed up both AND THEN overcharged for items and the work was ve... view morery shoddy. Did I mention it was three days past delivery? Did I mention they told me items needed to be replaced that were still viable and not needed? I eventually took one of the cars to a oil change place down the street and they did an inspection and oil change in 30 minutes and charged less than $70 for all items needed. Drivers Edge tried to tell me that belts needed to be replaced and brakes were worn and I would not pass inspection without $700 in repairs before the inspection and service. BE WARNED!!!!!

Took the car in for a routine ...
Took the car in for a routine high mileage maintenance and oil change. After getting the car out it had some issues (e.g., stalling, engine clatter). I took it back with the suspicion that the timing was off, something that would have been affected by the earlier maintenance. They agreed, and took the car back into the shop to rectify the problem. Car comes out of the shop, everything is straight. All well and ... view moregood with the exception of the poor work the first time around. A few months later I take the car to my normal oil change location and they tell me they cannot change my oil because the last time it was changed the mechanic stripped out the oil pan bolt. Not only that, but because it was stripped out the pan had been leaking oil pretty constantly. I was running my car on low to zero oil for about a month. I went back to Driver`s Edge to ask them about the oil change (without telling them there was an issue) and they denied changing the oil during any previous maintenance. I had the receipt in my hand showing they changed the oil and they told me they didn`t do it. When told there was a problem, there was an even more stringent denial. Nice place to take your car if you to return to the shop after every visit with an additional problem and be lied to about the service. Never again.

Drivers Edge lies about services
On September 13, 2011, I brought my 2006 Ford Mustang in to the Driver`s Edge-Flower Mound location for a routine oil change. This service routinely includes rotating the vehicle`s tires. My receipt from the service stated that they had in fact changed the oil and rotated the tires. On September 14, 2011 I brought my car in to an auto repair shop because it was making unusual noises. As they were inspecting it, t... view morehey informed me that my tires (less than a year old) had never been rotated. This is a problem because I have gone to Driver`s Edge-Flower Mound for my last two services, in which they have on record that they rotated my tires. I am extremely unhappy with my my experience at Driver`s Edge because not only has Driver`s Edge been dishonest with the services that they have conducted on my vehicle, but that the tires on my vehicle have now been worn so badly that they needed to be completely replaced today. I have contacted the manager at the Flower Mound location and verified that they have on record that they rotated my tires, when in fact they have not. I also informed him that I was sent away from Driver`s Edge with no warnings about the worn tires or that their air pressure was less than half of what it should be. He provided no solution. I will never go back to Driver`s Edge and would encourage others not to as well! Especially those with the ""coupons""...

Epic Fail!
I took my car there for an oil change and inspection at 8:00 am. I was told it would be ready by 10:00. I went by at 11:30 to pick it up. Woops...they had forgotten about my car. They said they would make it a priority...so I left and called again at 1:00...Woops...they said they must have gotten a faulty oil filter and they had to send out for a new one. I went by at 1:30...A few more minutes...really???They pu... view morelled the car out and said that the oil change was free...That`s nice...right? No..He said it was free because they had forgotten to do the inspection. Really????
I drove off to take it to another place to get an inspection and guess what???? He didn`t give me back my insurance card.
I went back to get it and he said he didn`t have it. I ask him to look and he reluctantly called someone from the back and they found it.
I would not recommend this shop to anyone...I mean, come on, if they can`t do an oil change and inspection efficiently, would you really want them to do anything else.

MAJOR CROOKS! Drive on by, Don`t Stop!
My husband quit his good paying job at a dealership service department to go to work as a service advisor here. He quickly realized he had made a HUGE mistake. My husband refused to sell people things they did not need. Resulting in his termination.
First couple of days he worked there, a older guy comes into the store, he had run out of gas. My husband went to the gas station, got the gentlemen gas for his vehic... view morele, charged the man for the gas and got him back on the road. The owner was so pissed at my husband for not selling the man a fuel pump, he was in my husbands face yelling at him that he needs to make money off of every customer that walks thru the door. He knew right then that this was a Dirty Shop! Drivers Edge will RIP YOU OFF! Sell you things that you DO NOT NEED!!! They are VERY high pressure sales and they will stop at nothing to make those sells and meet there daily quota.
There are SOOOO many stories that it makes my stomach turn! Customers being sold ball joints that they do not need, and they didn`t even put the new ones on the vehicle. Power Steering pumps ect...
Gentlemen needed a new selonoid put on his tranny, and they sold him a new transmission. What should of been a $500.00 repair turned into $2100.00 new tranny.
At the end of the day, if they are busy and you come in for a oil change, you very well might get the dump and pump treatment. ( thats what they call it) Dump the oil, drop new in and not even bother to change the filter. And no, this is NOT a honest over sight. This is done purposley.
This business needs to be EXPOSED for what it is! Please tell your friends so they can tell there friends..... Stay away from Drivers Edge Stores. ALL OF THEM! There are several in the area and they are all CROOKS! People should not be heisted out of there hard earned money. Please spread the word, awareness is the only way to stop these heartless criminals from preying on innocent people. In the 13 years that my husband has been selling service at reputable dealership service Departments he has NEVER ran across a dirty shop. I don`t know how this people sleep at night.......
Just drive right by people.. Don`t stop thinking you`ll save $$ by avoiding a dealership, cuz in the end you could fall victim to Drivers Edge and they`ll be laughing at you as you are walking out the door as they got away with scamming you out of your hard earned money.

Run, don`t walk away!
I have taken my car in several times for an oil change because they are extremely close to where I live, and every time I go in they ALWAYS find something that needs to be done, that day. The last time I went in they offered to drive me home so that my son could nap, great! I was told that it would be about on hour before they got to my car and would call when it was ready. I had to wait 3 hours for them to call a... view morend tell me it was ready... Upon them picking me back up I was informed that my emergency break didn`t work (complete lie) and that my serpentine (sp) belt and A/C belt needed to be replaced immediately because they were severely cracked; I was advised to leave my car with them for the weekend so they could change them for a mere $240. Upon telling them `No, thank you` I was informed that I shouldn`t drive my car anywhere. My dad and I took the belt off and inspected it, we found no cracks at all!! I`m so glad that we replaced it ourselves for $33 instead of paying them $240 for something that wasn`t urgent at all like they said.
Don`t trust anything they say, and get a second opinion. They would tell you that your car is falling apart around you even if you bought it brand new from the factory!! They are extremely fraudulant and rude when you declince their services.

FRAUDULANT ESTIMATES
I went here for a free oil change that was offered to me for being new to the area. I ended up with a quote for over $600 in repairs that was completely fraudulant. I have a regular mechanic that I use and there was not one thing wrong with my car. The only thing he agreed with on the estimate was that I could use a new air filter which cost under $50. IF YOU DARE USE THIS PLACE BEWARE AND GET A SECOND OPINION FROM A... view more TRUST WORTHY REPAIR SHOP.

Poor Poor Work! DO NOT GO THERE!! STAY AWAY!
Brought my vehicle to the Mitsubishi Dealership for the 90,000 mile service. Once they told me it was gonna be about $450.00 plus tax just to do some routine maintenance. I figured I could take it somewhere else for cheaper. Sure enough Drivers Edge is right around the corner from my place. So I called them up and they said they would do the same service and change the spark plugs for a fraction of the price $310... view more.00 to be exact. After speaking with them on the phone and myself having considerable automobile knowledge. I felt comfortable with having them do the work. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! Since then my car has not been the same. When I got it back they bent the hood and left the old spark plugs underneath the hood! My hood wouldn`t shut all the way. Then to top it all off, I am damn positive they forgot to change the oil and filter. They claimed they forgot to change the sticker. But after all their mishaps would they really fess up to not changing the oil. Hell no. They did agree to fix the hood no questions asked but obviously cause they messed it up. Regardless, more importantly it runs like crap right now. So now I am bringing it back to the MITSU dealer hoping there isn`t more serious damage cause of how bad it is running right now. Unbelievable. Whatever you do, do not make the mistake I did.

Outrageous Prices Poor Work
Theese guys charged me $900 for replacing an air conditioning hose. Ford said they would have done the job for $600. If that`s not bad enough, I had to pay Ford $130 to correctly charge the freon after Driver`s Edge couldn`t even do that correctly.
