I went in for a state inspection and was greeted by a rude guy who seemed to be either the owner or the manager. After waiting around for about 20 minutes without being told how long it would be to get my car in, they finally told me that my car was up next. THE GUY WHO WENT TO MOVE MY CAR BROKE THE GEAR SHIFT!!! I wasn`t in the car to see what happened, but my guess is that he forgot to push the clutch in and tried ... view moreto force the gear shift into place. He said it wouldn`t go into gear...um, yeah...that`s what happens when you don`t put the clutch in! The pin connecting the shifter to the cables "popped out". They apparently fixed it by popping it back in, but since I didn`t get to see it before they put it back, I don`t really trust that it wasn`t damaged. I left and went somewhere else to get the state inspection right after and it passed the inspection, no problem. Going to Triple A Muffler was a huge mistake. SAVE YOUR CARS AND AVOID THIS PLACE! A better place to go is Rick`s Auto Repair and Body Shop. Their employees are friendly and they didn`t break my car!

Bobby the owner is the only good thing about the shop
Bobby the service manager is pretty rude. Bobby the owner is nice. Too bad he only works in the garage. I arrived at 2:40pm and explained to them that, ""I damaged the axle back portion of my aftermarket exhaust. The right muffler had been sitting on the bumper so I took it off to prevent burning *showed them the first picture from above*. The exhaust that I need repaired is in the trunk. I think you will need to ... view morere-weld or heat and bend it to get it to fit"". That pretty much went through one ear and out the other. The receptionist responded with a ""will get it up on the lift and look at it and let you know what we can do before we get started"". The shop closes at 6 and by 5:15 they hadn`t got to my car so I asked what would happen if they closed before they got to me. The receptionist stated, ""we will stay until all customers that have already been signed in have been helped."" By 5:30 I still hadn`t gotten an update on my car so I walked outside to the garage and saw them taking my car OFF the lift. I noticed that my Top Speed exhaust was still in the trunk and asked them if they were done. They said ""yeah, you had a small exhaust leak but we took care of it for you."" So I had to re-explain to them what was going on. One of the service managers came out and said ""Oh, we can do it for you but it`s not gonna be today. Or we can help you today but it would cost more"" I was like wtf... And I told him that the receptionist said that I would be helped today regardless of what time it is. I finally got my price quote of $90 which was perfect and they started working on it. By now it was like 6 and I told them that if they weren`t comfortable working on it now, that I would rather come back another day or take it somewhere else. I didn`t want them to rush and do a bad job or further damage it. They said they would fix it and they told me to ""relax"". I walked back outside and they were getting to work, which is good, but they also had cut my OEM exhaust at the mid pipe, and cut off the hangers as well. They planned on throwing it away because they didn`t think I needed it anymore. I went inside to complain about how bad my experience was and I was met with rudeness. The service manager just kept bringing up rebuttles about how I was being picky, how all of their customers never want their oem exhausts back, and blah blah. He even told me, ""well you should have told us you didn`t want us to throw away your exhaust."" I started laughing here. I asked him how anyone who has never been here is supposed to know that they throw away old parts and he didn`t know what to say. I asked him if they would have thrown away my air intake if they were replacing it with an aftermarket one and he said yes lol. He eventually said that I was just trying to complain so that I could get a cheaper price, despite the fact that I opened the argument saying ""I`m not trying to get a discount"". I told them that I read a lot of good reviews about them online, a friend recommended me to them and that I was just very disappointed since I had high expectations. By the end of the argument you could tell that he ran out of things to say. The receptionist that poorly communicated my needs to the mechanics was standing their looking like he was in deep doo-doo. He knew he messed up. After all of this I asked him if he was felt well justified about everything he had said and he said, ""yes."" After that I just walked outside. The mechanic ended up welding my oem exhaust back together and using new pipes to re-create the axle back. The mechanic was probably the nicest person there. He was actually the owner of the place! He was very apologetic about what HE did while working on the car. He had no clue about what happened inside and I wanted to leave it that way. He was a real humble guy. Didn`t think he deserved to feel my anger.

EXCELLENT!
It`s really hard (especially as a woman) to find a car shop that you trust. I go into the big named ones and I feel like I`m just being sold to. You don`t know what the real price you are supposed to be paying is b/c they charge you what you are willing to pay. It`s frustrating. I drive quite some distance just to come to this shop b/c I feel like I will be taken care of. When you drive up, it doesn`t look like ... view morethis typical Dallas ""Cleaned up look"" place, but don`t judge a book by its cover. It`s an old fashioned shop with great talent. The people are great and if you have any questions or problems, they take care of you. Highly recommend this place. In fact, I first heard of it when I moved in town b/c a cop recommended it to me.
