do not use this company , i took my Ford F-250 in for repair, i was told to drop it off at 8am and someone would call in a few hours with a quote for the repair. Well that never happened so i called them at 1pm and still did not have a Quote ready....so i called at 3:00pm and still no quote ready, then i finally got a call at 3:20pm to tell me that they cant find the problem. (well when I drop it off I told them in d... view moreetail what the problem was, felt like the wheel was lose , and it make a grinding sound , and the auto four wheel drive is not working.) they told me that they put it on the lift and spun the wheel and found nothing. never took it for a test drive. that`s when i could see they have no idea of what they are talking about i asked for my truck back. when i got to my truck and tried to drive a way is was stuck in fourwheel drive and i could not drive it so i when back in to talk to the service manager and was told they would not like to work on my truck and i told him i would love to leave but its stuck in fourwheel drive and cant . on my way out i ran into the technician he told me they did not even take the wheel off to check to see whats wrong because they are to busy. do not use these guys

If you`ve read my comments on other automotive repair facilities in San Antonio, you`ll appreciate this one.

Thousand Oaks Automotive, while not the most inexpensive in town, has my vote for the most reputable.

After several bad experiences with Gemini Goodyear, Firestone and Midas.... I trust these guys.

My 92 F-150 was completely abused by Gemini Goodyear, and (albeit) after a new engine the... view more truck was fantastic. I`ve never seen anything like the dedication, hard work and drive of these mechanics to make things right. And they didn`t even screw up my truck in the first place.

They worked for days, no weeks to make sure my truck was tuned, transmission was in sync with the new engine and all worked perfect.

I sense send my wife, my daughter, my stepson and anyone else who will listed; these guys are for real....they care about the work they do; they`re certified to work on the model cars/trucks you bring them; and if they can`t....well.....you know what...they`ll tell you.

Honest, professional, courteous.

Thousand Oaks Automotive is now my only choice for auto repairs and routine maintenance..

I gave them 2 stars only becasue the work was done in a timely manor and apparently done correctly. Otherwise the experience was just so-so. We were charged new price for a reconditioned alternator. i was told the repairs would include a new one. Its like a $200.00 difference between what the shop charged for the alternator and the same part number online. I know there are huge mark ups in the auto repair industry bu... view moret for that price we could just go to the dealer and get new OE parts and service for the same price if not less. Like i said seems like an ok shop but Id just rather have new original parts than aftermarket reconditioned parts if they are gonna charge me the same. Nevermind that the estimate over the phone included a new one and i got a ""REMAN"" or whatever.

I been visiting Thousand Oaks Automotive for several years now, They have always treated me fairly, at a fair price, and have always fixed my car right the first time. The staff is well knowledged, the technicians are ASE certified and the apmosphere is fantastic.

To others writing unsatisfactory reviews, you probally just didn`t want to hear the bad news about your car. They will give you the truthful answer... view more to your car`s problems and then let you decide if you want it fixed or not. They are not there to steer you wrong.

I had a very good experience at Thousand Oaks Automotive. They are very friendly and always have freadh coffee in the morning. I like that they are very detailed and they explain exactly whats wrong with your car before doing any repairs and you don`t feel your being taken advantage of. The experience I had with this Automotive company was horrible. Bottom line is that they diagnosed I had bad suspension and all they did to diagnose this is drive my car...thats it! They said I needed new struts and springs without even looking at them. They were never pulled from the vehicle. When I decided I did not want to do business with them, I went to pick up my car. They ended up charging me for inspecti... view moreng the car...never mentioned that before I took it in. Over $30 for some guy to drive my car. Turns out the springs were in good condition, nothing wrong with them.($70 each saved). I did have the struts changed($75 each) at another shop. They wanted to charge over $600 for the whole thing. I cant stand when automotive shops try to take advantage of people. Whatever happened to doing honest business.

The mechanic that was screwing up is no longer there. Otherwise, has the three best master techs in town, good prices and quick turnaround. And to the person who complained about the towing...you`re complaining about the attitude because she was honest?

I took my car in for skipping or missing. I was told I needed a new fuel filter and tune up. Well first of all it cost me 386.00 and then 2 weeks later my car is doing the exact same thing. I dare not take it back there so I take it to another mechanic recommended by some coworkers that always take their vehicles to this person. The mechanic there ask me what I had done prior. I told him because my invoice was a... view moret home at the time. He told me ""Mrs, I hate to tell you this but they did not give you a tune up. There is no way, your wires would look the way they do had they changed them. The only thing I can tell you they did was replace your fuel filter. So now I am going to contact them and find out what is up. I wlll then contact bbc if I don`t get some good answers. So no I would not recommmend them to my enemy.
