This is going to be a long review. I will keep the main details in the beginning; I had a car that was worth $1500 (I felt it was worth what Ben motors offered me) but I owed $6000 on the loan. Therefore, I was turned down by everyone; from Easy Auto, JD Bryder, to Toyota of Knoxville, Terry Cunningham ford, ted russell nissan. Even Clayton Motors who is buy here pay here. It was sad. I gave up hope until I fi... view morenally went to Ben Motors. When I sat down with Tarl, I told him I needed him more then he needed me. (Great way to make a deal) He said we will get it done. That night, he ran my credit (I had over 100 inquiries on my credit report due to the loan requests) Even though he knew my issues (most dealers I said that and they said come back when you are ready) and still Tarl took me to a 2009 Nissan Altima and we even took it for a test drive. (The first test drive out of all places) Car price $16,000 After we came back, I was like awesome car. But wasn`t impressed cause I figured I would be walking out with my beat up car. He then said done deal. I had this feeling before, it always ends up bad. Well, he said here are the keys and my eyes lit up. I sat down with finance and they went over the deal. They offered me $3,000 for my trade in. This deal was unreal. Well, come to find out my finance charge was 17%. Two weeks later they said come back in, we need to talk about your deal. I came in and they were able to get me approved for another company at 14.5%. (how does a bad company actually pass that onto the customer, let alone spend their time to do that. The car runs great, no problems. I had an issue with corroded battery, but took it to Ben Motors repair shop where they cleaned it, and good as new. (Even the mechanic dropped what he was doing and did it for me right away.) Overall, the support was top notch, and the service is good so far. I hope this review helps, and believe me when I say I was turned down by everyone besides Ole Ben Motors. Just make sure you tell Tarl if you can get "him" approved, you can get anyone approved.

I gave this place two chances to sell me a car. This place is a total ripoff. They will lure you in with their signs of "low down payment" " We own the bank" That`s a total lie. When they gave me my financing for the p.o.s. it was through some total different place. I asked what happened to their bank and they stuttered and changed the subject. Then the saleman tried to tell me that this was one o... view moref the safest cars on the road. I said fine look it up on the internet. There is was right on the internet, poor ratings, bad crash results. Plus no one knows the price of the cars because they make them up based on your financing to get the most out of you. Stay away from these scam artists.

It took 3 temp tags to finally receive my WV tags. It was nothing short of a war. I have received both e-mails and phone calls threatening the title and loan situation of the vehicle purchased. They also responded to negative feedback on Ebay saying: " we believe menapause was involved here. still waiting for lab results". This was the latest messaged recieved: "if u wipe out that nasty feedback ... view morei bet your tag and loan situation will work out. its the old school law of sowing and reaping at work here. happy 4th". This was a previous message: "you need to retract that bull off my feedback. i been trying to help you but now im done. good luck getting your title".

Still haven`t recieved the tags for my ride.... A guy says he has turned it all in for me to go to the dmv and have them call him... Didn`t sound like something that would work to me so I called Charleston... Who tells me there has not been a release on the title..... So I call again and a lady tells me to stop in that they can give a another temp... umm hello I live in WV you are in TN.. she tells me someone will ca... view morell.... So today a man ask me if I have completely paid my down payment... YEAH $5,OOO CASH.... then he tells me that the title was never released from the previous owner.... What.?.. Yeah, it`s quite common, he says, and it may take a little longer to get everything done....???? I can`t sell a vehicle without the title so you tell me how a dealership can... Temp tags have been dead for 22days now...They act like they don`t care cause they`ve already gotten their money... The dealer actually said I don`t know why they would tell you that, the title wasn`t released cause I got my money... Then I said I know you`ve been waiting on feedback but I`m very unsatisfied, he said oh and done quit looking for it it`s ok... . Now they are trying to tell me they have called the wrong number for me and sent my temps to the wrong address cause they had 2 different addresses for me... but when I asked them what the 2 addresses where they could only tell me one which is the correct address...And if I say well I talked to someone the other day and they said """""" they reply well I don`t know who you could have talked to, like i`m lying.... or they say they just misunderstood, everyone down there can not be misunderstanding a situation that they deal with everyday..... Now they wanna try and act like i`ve done something wrong.. They worked with me for hours trying to get a car I wanted from a dealer in texas. Went the extra yard and had the car ready for Transfer, however my credit prevented it. Great people people focused. they want to help. If anyone can get you financing in KNoxville with bad credit, They can.

I bought a suv from Old Ben Franklin motors on Aug 17th it is now Dec 1st. I have not missed or been late on a payment. But they have failed to provide us tags for the suv. By law they are not allowed to issue more then 2 temp tags. When I asked why they said the court house rejected the application for tags because the car had a lean on it. So they sold a car they didn`t have a title for. I would not recommend anyon... view moree buying a car from this dealership.
