We had a GREAT experience buyi...
We had a GREAT experience buying my new Kia Rio. I didn`t want a large payemnt, and they respected that. I dind`t want to eat the loss on a new car, so we were looking at a used one. Ther was a few cosmetic blemishes, which i expected. What I was NOT expecting, was for the front headlights to get foggy as we were washing the car. I called the next morning, and spoke to the service manager, whom was a PLEASURE to spea... view morek to, and he told me to bring the car up. Not only did they replace BOTH headlights, they had their paint and dent people fix the blemishes! My car looks brand new! We had no issues with the financing, we got the paperwork from the bank in the mail a week after we bought the car. My only complaint, is that the car was NOT detailed on the inside. There was spilled soda in the cup holders, and the interior was not cleaned or even wiped down. Also, (and this is just me) I think if I am buying a "new" car, <new or used>, I deserve a FULL tank of GAS! Over all, a SOLID 4 stars for Hickory Hollow Kia.

False advertising!
I make 32K a year with fair credit. I saw their commercial that said ""if you have $100 down and make $350 a week"" we will put you in a car. So I called and they said I would have to put $2000 down and that my income was too low for their cheapest car. This ""Christian establishment"" is as dishonest as the church.

Professional con artists.
I wish I`d read these reviews before wasting all of this time dealing with them, getting my wife`s hopes up, and in the meantime ending up without a car at all. My wife has bad credit, so we were pleasantly surprised when Ron Morgan called us on the phone and said that she`d been approved after we gave him all of her information. We immediately drove there (about an 80 mile drive) and got stuck for hours waiting ... view moreon paperwork and such. We gave them all of the info they requested, and at the end of the day, she signed a conditional contract. Before signing, however, I did ask Travis, one of the finance officers, what the chances were that they`d call us and demand the car back. He said that they were professionals and they knew what they were doing. Well, turns out they didn`t. We get a call saying that they needed more info from her, that they entered her income incorrectly. We drove back up, where we were told that she could not get a car unless someone cosigned with her due to her income. Since I had a job at the time, I cosigned. Well, ended up losing my job before everything was said and done (go figure), so my wife`s brother came to the rescue and volunteered to cosign. Mind you, his credit and income were much better than mine, so there shouldn`t be a problem, right? Wrong. While my wife was in the bathroom, Ron Morgan comes up to her brother and says there`s no way they can make this deal with with the Kia Soul we`d been driving for two weeks. He said they could put her in a used Chevy Aveo, but didn`t know if they had any (yeah, baloney). When my brother-in-law asked Ron what else they had that she could buy, he said that the Aveo was it. It was at this point I was called (I was at home). When my wife tells me about the Aveo, I immediately tell her to tell them that we`ll just bring the Soul back on Monday and be done with them (Aveo is a junk car with a Daewoo motor). When they told Ron Morgan they weren`t going to buy the Aveo, he got angry. Needless to say, a sale was not completed here. I would not recommend this dealership to ANYONE. Like everyone else here, they wasted not only our time but money (we had to buy full coverage insurance on a car we had two weeks). Save yourself the headache and just go to Carmax. Seriously.

This place is a pro with the ""Bait & Switch"" trick
recently my daughter wanted to purchase a new car from this dealership. I warned her of the negative comments, but she needed to find out for herself. And boy did she. Her salesman was an older man that had been working at Kia for a month. He was very pushy and arrogant. She picked out the car of choice, we went to see how close we all were in the numbers and this is when the ""finance manager"" took over. I ca... view moren`t remember his name, but I thought to myself he must have chewed a few too many mexican jumping beans. The man was running, jumping and skipping through the showroom. He was either excited about selling a car or ""something else"" was making him happy. Long story short....she was quoted a reasonable price for the car...but uh oh a snag, they needed more money down. She didn`t more, well what`s the next best thing...let us (the Kia men) have a copy of your boyfriends registration. WHAT! Oh it`s for competitive reasons, were not going to do anything with it (?) Sure. When she refused to go that route, they amazingly pushed on thru with the quoted price. She was in a rental car and could not seal the deal that evening. She told them she would drop the rental car off the next day and be back to Kia. That was A-okay with everyone. See you tomorrow. Tomorrow rolls around and her payment per month was increase by $125. When asked why? ""the loan didn`t get approved"" Whatever Kia man. The only reason you and your devious followers are in business is because there are no other Kia dealerships in town. Just remember one day there will be and You also remember...just how you treated these folks. Karma bites hard. This place does not deserve the one star I had to give it. Sad Sad, when people try so hard to take advantage of other people.

This is the Car Dealership for Me!
I have had great dealing with Hickory Hollow Kia from time of purchase thru servicing my vehicle.

Chris was a great salesperson to work with and the process was an easy transaction.

I love my Spectra - it gets great gas mileage, does well on the highway and a good dependable car.

Johnathan and the service department are very nice to me. The pricing for service is very reasonable.

My car c... view moreurrently has 50,0000 and when I purchase my next vehicle, it will be from Hickory Hollow Kia.

$150 down and a job?
This is not the case at all, on the commercials the man says ""do you have a job? $150 down? you can leave with a car"", that`s not true (unless you steal the car). The $150 only applies to people that have a PERFECT credit score, anything less (and I mean anything) means you have to pay $1500-$3000 down. These people lie, and deceive people with their false advertising. They should be ashamed.

Def Liars
Like everyone else, Kia called my fiance and I back in saying we suddenly needed to pay more even though we had signed a contract. Our friends warned us they would do just that and both of them said when they were threatened they had no problem giving back the car if that was the way they wanted to do business. Ron Morgan said if it took a payment of $250 a month (what is what we could afford) to get us out of their ... view morewith the car we wanted, he`d do it for us. Sure enough, just like everyone warned us, two days later they wanted $304 a month. Which is low. . . but we wouldn`t have signed a contract in that case. And as soon as we put our foot down, they magically could let us stay at $250 a month. Hmmm. . .

They manipulated the system
I went in to take advantage of the cash for clunkers deal, and I found a car at a price I liked and we signed a `conditional contract` `conditional` meaning, if my lender approved the financing. Well, I put my down-payment down and 2?? weeks later it hasn`t cleared my account. So I call to find out why, and they say it`s probably in processing, then I call on day 2 to my salesman and he says that they`re probably stil... view morel checking on different lenders, then I finally call on the third day and demand answers.

Well, apparently on Tuesday (the day after the program was exhausted) they decide to tell me that I wasn`t approved and that I would need a co-signer (who I had with me when I signed the conditional agreement) Also, my car wasn`t approved for the clunkers deal because there was a 2 week lapse where I was late on registering it (admittingly my fault). However, I brought this to their attention before I left the building and they assured me that it would be ok and I need not worry about it, the sales manager even told me that if it was a problem they would just eat the cost (which I should have got in writing.) They then try to give me a slight discount, but not the $4500. And explain that they arent held accountable if CARS.GOV didn`t pay them. Which it clearly states that they are. And they used the `Conditional Contract` as their crutch which says nothing about the trade in or cash for clunkers on it, just referencing the financing which I can take care of. Either way I`m fed up with them and I`m getting my car back and buying from CARMAX who I hear good things about :) AND IT WON`T BE A DUMPY KIA.

I can`t believe I had to give them a 1 star. None Star should be an option.

Great store to do business with!!!!
I think it is funny to read all the negative reviews that everyone posts. I have been in the banking business for sometime now, and there is explaination for every ""complaint"" that everyone is posting. If you had good or even ""okay"" credit you would be able to get a car with NO money down. If you are required to put more money down than the advertised $149 - it`s because you picked out a car you cannot afford to ... view morebuy with no money down, or because your credit is so bad the bank is requiring that you put a large amount down to show committment to the purchase. If you have to re-sign paper work it has to with with all the same things. Car lots are in the business of making money, who isn`t, and if they could put everyone in ""the car"" they wanted with no money down and never re-sign one document, they would. Customers are sometimes worse than the dealerships could ever be. You walk into the dealership because YOU WANT TO BUY A CAR! So let`s try treating them with some respect for a change and not walking up to them thinking they are going to lie to you right off the bat. Yes there are some dealers that have people that work for them like this, but I am sure that they take care of each case when it comes about. I personally had an experience with this store and was treated with great respect. I also treated them with great respect. I purchased a pre-owned Kia and had to have some service repairs. The sales department worked with the service and parts department in order to schedule my appointment. I was not there the entire time they estimated due to the service tech working thru his lunch hour to help get me out asap. I think that you people may need to stop pointing fingers and look at how you acted yourselves. I am sure that had you acted in a different manner, you would have been treated in a different manner. I will continue to go to this store and would recommend anyone else with a sound mind to do the same.

LIARS!!!!
First they talk me into a car that I wasn`t sure about. Then they call me back 2 1/2 weeks later telling me that I need to sign a new contract (something about my income). When I refused to sign a new agreement and give them more money, all of a sudden my income was fine and they were holding me to the orginial contract. If I didn`t keep it, they`d take me to court. So I took the vehicle,(still with the orginial ... view morecontract) then about a week later, they call telling me that I have to bring it back. My income isn`t going to work.. So they`ve not only wasted my time, but kept inconviencing me to keep coming down there.
