Reviews:

Stay away from this place! My fiancee and I are looking for a vehicle that can hold out four rescue dogs and us comfortably. We both have cars that are paid off but lack the space we need for the whole family. We were looking for something used, reasonably priced, that would last us another 3-4 years with minor issues. I found a car that I liked on cargurus.com so I visited the dealership website and it looked ve... view morery impressive. I found the reviews to be half and half for the dealership but decided to give them a try. I called and spoke to a gentleman named Linnie. He was super nice and very knowledgeable. He told me there was a guy driving in from Georgetown to look at the same vehicle and that if he didn`t purchase the vehicle, he would give me a call. I live in Savannah so it is a 2 hour drive to where the dealership is located. Linnie had a family event to attend in Hilton Head but told me that I could see Bobby when I got in and he would take care of me. Linnie arranged to drop the vehicle off at Firestone so that they could do an inspection before we bought it. We went straight to Firestone, waited for them to finish the inspection, and talked with the mechanic. At the very least, the mechanic told us that the shocks/struts were leaking and needed to be replaced. He also told us that when he cranked the car for the first time, it didn`t crank right up. He said it appeared to have a cold start problem. That was a red flag right there but the mechanic said don`t worry sometimes this happens on vehicles if they have sat at a dealership for a bit without being driven. When the total cost was done of the things that were going to need to be taken care of, the mechanic bill was going to be $1597.00. Normally this would have made most people turn away but we understood that with a car this old there would be some maintenance stuff. The car fax report was great on the vehicle and the maintenance for the most part was kept up through the years. When Bobby showed up to pick the vehicle up, we began to talk to him about the issues. Bobby told us to come back to the dealership and talk with Steve (General Manager) and he would take a look at it. We took the vehicle on a test drive and it drove really good. When we got back, Bobby went into Steve`s office to talk to him and all we could hear was "What" loud and drawn out. I am assuming Steve was given the mechanic bill. After a few moments we went in to talk to him. He sat us down and begin to tell us that he doesn`t understand why Firestone does this (scaring the customer). Steve began to tell us that these things were only recommended and did not necessarily need to be done. I realized that Firestone put some things on the list like transmission fluid change, etc. that were "recommended" but definitely needed to be done with a car that old. If this dealership was a reputable one, they would have already sent this thing in for the necessary maintenance. This Steve guy is the poster child for the stereotypical used car salesman. What he didn`t realize is that I have a father and 5 brothers who work on cars. I told Steve, I am sorry but the shocks/struts are leaking and need to be replaced so that is not recommended, it is needed! Then he proceeds to tell me that he can knock $300 off the vehicle. Are you stupid or that crooked? The mechanic is telling me at the very least, $1000 worth of work has to be done on the vehicle and you want to knock $300 off, gee thanks. My fiancee and I got up and started walking out and he begins to show us a sheet and says he has $7400 into the vehicle so that is all that he can knock off because the original asking price was $7992.00.

We had been searching for a ca...
We had been searching for a car for many, many months. After giving up...we finally found this place on the internet. Went and looked at a car and felt totally at ease, no pressure. No bull. The car we liked was ever so slightly out of our price range, and we had another lot on our list for the day, so we got their number and went to the other lot. It was such a horrible experience (at the other dealership), and so ... view moremuch bull, that though they had a car that was more in our price range, we felt 100% uneasy with not only the car salesmen, but the car as well. He showed us two, and it felt like the biggest pitch and I felt that both cars would be nothing but trouble. And the game he played on our trade in was nuts.... so we high tailed it out of there and felt like just embracing Bentley (salesmen`s name) when we got back to Windham select. They buy was so seamless after that.... the car looked amazing and was definitely a great fit for us. We took it to a mechanic (the Chevy Dealership) a couple of days later and he said the car looked great! It had no mechanical issues at all. We are so grateful we found this place. Thanks fellas!

Stay away. Find somewhere else...
Stay away. Find somewhere else to buy a used car. My husband purchased a 2003 BMW 325i from them just last year, and despite everything being "good" when we bought the car, after the short warranty ran out, we have since spent close to $5,000 in repairs. I can`t believe how many things have gone wrong with this car, and we`re facing yet another repair with the transmission. After this purchase, my mother ab... view moreout died when we told her who we bought the car from. She said to never EVER buy from Windham Select because they were a shady business. She used to be in vehicle financing and knows about all of the dealers in the Charleston area.

Great dealership, thanks again!
Loved how I was treated, as a woman car shopping scares me. I was treated with the best care. Eric took my car to my dads mechanic for me and had it checked out. He even brought it to my boyfriends job so he could drive it too. I got a great deal and they did better on financing than my own bank. I would definitely do business there again.

Be extremely careful when dealing with this or the Windham Motors people. Purchased a luxury auto knowing all used cars have some issues, but did not expect a hole in the oil pan. It had been covered over with JB weld. When I found out the day after purchase, they suggested that they had never checked oil when they purchased it. This leads to two conclusions, either they screwed me over by knowingly selling me a ... view morecar with a major defect......or they just don`t care about cars they bring into the lot and pass along any major defects to the customer. In either case, be extremely careful with this dealership. I for one will purchase elsewhere in the future....lesson learned!

Be cautious of this car lot. Spoke to Lenny over the phone about a 328i I wanted to buy. I explained I lived over 3 hours away so I needed an honest walk around and description of car. Lenny said it was a 91/2 out of 10. Very clean no scratches except drivers seat had wear. I took off a day of work rented a car with full intention on driving this car home....when I arrived I first noticed the rear bumper was damaged... view more, small dent front grille. So I decided to give it a drive, sounded like a bearing was bad or bad tire dash was lit up like a Christmas tree with airbag warning light and tire warning. Was horrible! Thanks .......can I get my day back, don`t waste your time with this place, prices are great but you get what you pay for!

I was searching autotrader.com for a used Ford Focus, and Windham Select had the best price. My wife and I drove down from Myrtle Beach, SC to see the car, and Scott and Steve bent over backwards to find a bank that would approve a loan for us with our stipulated monthly loan payment. There was no sales pressure. We have been driving the car for three weeks now, and love it. . We will check with them first any time w... view moree are looking for a car.

Excellent service, unbeatable ...
Excellent service, unbeatable (National pricing). I flew in to purchase a vehicle from out of state. Shane Ridenour not only picked me up from the airport, but made the purchase extremely pleasant. They even recommended a restaurant for me in Charleston after the vehicle was purchased, which was fantastic. By far, I got the best priced vehicle in it`s class in the nation. I had been searching the internet for s... view moreix months and their deal was extraordinary. I will always come back to Windham Select and will recommend my friends and family to do so as well.
